Peter needs to give details on shows like this Larry set him up. He sounds like he just hates government, true, but need to pull some people in. Its CNBC talk about repealing SarBox or transparency of the Fed.
@soundzero Yes!!! I'd rather have Schiff as the president and paul as the VP. Talk about shaking up the "business as usual" way of doing things in Washington. Too bad the American voters wouldn't be smart enough to vote for these two since they would sacrifice poll numbers to restore our economy back to where we should be. Basically, American's focus more on the immediate and personal side of Economics instead of the long term and group aspect of it. In other words, it's "I" instead of"we"
Interesting. It seems as though Kudlow has some contempt for Schiff. I don't know what Larry is denying...he is always bullish on the economy (and was, just like everyone else, before the financial crisis came to its fruition). Hell, he still talks about King Dollar, and utilizes any figures he can to "show" that the economy is headed for growth.
"We tell the Iranians: This is where we think those weapons are, you need to let our inspectors in there. If they dont let us in, just blow the place up.
Sounds alot like Dick Cheney and Bill Kristol to me. How 'bout you?
Sounds like he's just stating the policy we currently enact. That's a large leap from endorsement. He doesn't actually believe that's how our foreign policy should operate so no, far from neocon.
That's not why I think he should not get paid. He should not get paid because the money he would receive will have been stolen from hard working people. Taxation is theft, theft is immoral.
There is not a man in this world that talks with more sense then Peter Schiff - I can't wait until Americans come to their senses and give this guy an opportunity to make change.
Exactly. I'm not sure how Kudlow or anyone could have difficulty distinguishing Schiff from other republicans/politicians. The guy is always right about the economy, no matter how many assclowns laugh at him. And you just know if he gets to Washington, he will certainly bitchslap the opposition until they finally bow down to the Austrian school of economics.
i have heard some of the same things from the other candidates but i don't think they really have a plan to bring jobs back to the private sector. The biggest obstacle for Peter now, is if the other candidates start saying more of the things Peter says, then it will be MUCH harder to distinguish himself among them. But if he sticks to his guns he should come out on top. we all know he's the most qualified person to send to washington, but most of the voters in CT have probably never heard of him
Some tough love from Kudlow. I think he really want to see Peter succeed and is giving him a hard time now so he can be a stronger candidate in the future.
Kudlow is afraid to debate Schiff. Usually when people come to the Kudlow show saying the economy is not improving Kudlow always gives his counter-argument that the economy IS improving. But when Peter comes on calling him out Kudlow denies he was a stock cheerleader. He knows if he debates Peter he will get school so he had to resort to lying....what a coward.
I have to say, I was disappointed with Peter in this interview. He is sounding too wishy washy. I think Kudlow makes a good point that he just sounds like the other two, and gave him an opening to say what legislation he would introduce. Why Peter is afraid to say something like, "introduce legislation to have the government dump GM, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac" is beyond me.
Spideynw. Peter's not about introducing - he's about reducing and that's what he's talking about all through this interview. I know it's not your typical political speech like you're use to hearing: "we're going to do this and that and pay for everything but the kitchen sink in order to fix this thing that we don't know anything about."
He's saying we need to stop all interference with the market. Not just one thing - it's all the interference and any reducing is a good start.
And to reduce, he will need to introduce. I just think this makes him look evasive, and I don't think that will be good for his campaign. I could be wrong.
The US has a separation of Church and State (or at least it's supposed to) but it also needs a separation of Business and State and the only ways to go about that is to a) enact a separation of Economy and State or b) the abolition of the State.
Both are inevitable. If we don't make it our philosophical, moral and practical aim however we will suffer greatly when the economy, and eventually the state itself, collapses on top of us.
FrigginKudlow tries marganlizing Peter by insinuating he'll run as a libertarian (though I consider myself a libertarian, he does this to convince voters that Mcmahon is the only republican choice) Stupid Kudlow
It woudl be interesting to have Schiff or Paul or someone like that for president just to hear how many Veto stamps they go through a day if nothing else.
whats this libertarian crap that their pulling with schiff? they did the same exact thing to ron paul. and they always bring it up as the last word. fuckers.
Wait, why is he ruling out running as libertarian if he doesn't win the republican nomination? Does that mean he plans to drop out if he doesn't win the primaries? I think he's burning bridges now.. the reasons make me pretty suspicious..
@TheMetalPerson I think it'sbecause if he runs as a Liberatirian he will just split the Republican vote and send another Dem back to the Senate. He also says that if he can't the Republicans to vote for him there is very little chance he can't get Dems, when he would need to run as a Libertarian.
Perhaps because he knows he has absolutely no chance as winning as a Libertarian since a Libertarian has never won any Federal public office ever. Also, it would give some people the excuse to not vote for him since "He's running Libertarian afterwards anyway, so I'll vote for the best Republican that isn't him and then vote for him during the actual election."
peter schiff is a muppet like dennis kneale. they should host a show together called 'the money muppets'.
hes been saying the same 10 lines in every interview since 2002. why do they need him live on interviews, just make a digital recording of him saying the stuff over and over again.
Even as a strong supporter of of Peter Schiff, I can't help but agree... but sometimes you need to drive the point forward so that everyone has a chance to hear. Looking for peter schiff videos on youtube is going to give you nothing but the same dose of peter schiff.
I don't mind Schiff or his beliefs, but a central bank is not bad if the population actually understands how it works. The biggest problem with it is the lack of education, and that unfairly takes away purchasing power from people who don't understand, or have the means to hedge.
@nteowl2025 There is no education because central banks function with as much secrecy as they can. Nobody knew who or what the federal reserve was or did until they were exposed by Ron Paul, Peter Schiff and there supporters. If Americans find out the truth, hopefully, they will get pissed off enough to make real change.
Americans already know the truth, but the bureaucracy is so thick by the time reform set in, the bankers are already 3 steps ahead. There is no way to reform a system that is corrupt from start.
You'd be surprised! I think too many people are clueless and don't care. Even the one's who follow politics and vote for people like Obama, McCain, Bush or Clinton are clueless, partisan and easily fooled. I know it doesn't take a majority to start a revolution but we need a lot more Peter Schiffs and Ron Pauls on our side. Remember the banks could not have done what they did without the governments help. They only do these things because there is no risk when they know gov will bail them out.
"with it is the lack of education, and that unfairly takes away purchasing power from people who don't understand, or have the means to hedge."
And understanding it, like many people who support Schiff, makes you immune to the effects of their counterfeiting? Wait, it doesn't so you should re-evaluate your logic.
I am immune from their "counterfeiting" because I know how to play the system. My logic is doing great I bought gold before Schiff was a thought in YouTube's mind. Read "Modern Money Mechanics" authored by the Federal Reserve itself. I am not saying it is a perfect system by any stretch. It is what it is and you can either play the system or make your life incredibly difficult trying to fight it.
@nteowl2025 Im going to give a lesson that has made me wealthy bc it seems you like playing the game as i do. One way to make lots of money is to learn who becomes president before it happens. Look for who they use to work for and BANG you invest in the company they use to work for. Look at Halliburton and Goldmansachs
WHY NOT RUN AS A THItD PARTY??? It's obvious McMahon is there to strong arm Schiff out of the race; So why not defend your convictions as an independent at least?? He's is just as much a puppet as everybody else! ! ! ! !
he explained that in one of his video blogs a while ago. because he knows that his chances as a third party candidate are like zero. he and some others (ron paul for example) are trying to bring the republican party back to its roots (the constituion)
It's that pessimistic mentality that has brought us to socialism in the first place. Teddy Roosevelt built his own party from the ground up and won it all. That excuse is a total cop out.
That's one example in all of American History. Even the sun shines on a dog's ass some days. Come up with enough that would make any reasonable person pursue that route as opposed to take a much more likely path to success.
It sounds more efficient to take over the Republican Party than to try to get a 3rd party or pure indepents to take over government. Heck, the one they mentioned, The Libertarian Party, has NEVER won a federal seat. Never. Just like any good economist, Schiff knows the numbers and probabilities.
People thought just like that back in the 18th century when the Whig party dominated the scene; Until one day when the Republican party took over. It is a generational cycle that is coming to a head in your lifetime. Count on it.
So, based on these rare events in history one should risk everything on every candidate they support in hopes of some rare event happening? Doesn't sound wise.
Don't know the others, but don't need to know Schiff easily out classes them. It'll be "It's the economy stupid" all over again, and no one else can explain it better. They'll have to use all the dirty tricks possible to have a chance and that's what they'll do. Hopefully the dollar will have broke 72.18 by then and/or gold will be $1,500 to $2,000.
What is Kudlow talking about? Peter is very distinguished! The other two are nothing like him, knowledgeable about the situation and know what the solution is-less government!
