@UnlimitedBeliebers Well ballae is dance. Dance doesn't have to be just tutting, or break, or stunting, or pop and lock, etc. Dance defines itself. You're a true dancer when you put yourself into your moves.

Just because they're white doesn't mean they can't dance. Hip hop several years ago used to be just black people, now almost every dancer I know is Asian.

Who cares if they're white? If they're dedicated to what they do, they're a dancer.

freestyle doesnt means you can't go wrong. Dance is a language, just because it isnt scripted doesnt mean you can speak gibberish and call it a language of your own.

In other words, there's formal rules that apply to freestyle or any dance -- like grammar to any speech.

So if you want to freestyle well, you need to learn those rules.

I would love to like learn hip hop dancing, but i'd feel really weird joining lessons (if i can find any around my town) because i've never danced before, and to be honest i can't dance, haha. but i'm willing to learn and devote myself(:

i just dont know where to go/or how to build up enough courage to join whenever i'm not good at all!

@Liveitup2207 honestly u don't even need to sign up for a dance class, u can learn from youtube. there is a bunch of videos on how to hip hop dance. i mean u can join a class if u want to i guess, but if u really want to learn how to dance u can just watch youtube videos, but u gonna need someplace to dance like a basement or something. here checkout this channel it helped me out a lot. just search elasticillusion on youtube.

I did ballet when i was 4 to when i was in 3rd grade, then i just got tired of it. When I was about 11 I joined hip hop. Trust me, even now at first everyone sucks. It's funny because we all laugh at eachother. Most local dance places around your city include hip hop. Just go to a dance website and look at their schedule. Hip hop is usually somewhere on that list. If your in school, they usually have dance teams. Keep on dancing!

Ok, I'm not a pro.

But my tip would be;

Go watch some clips, clips... not tutorials. (For example Niklas the nerd)

After I've watched dancin clips several times, some of the moves I saw - got stuck in my head. So when I freetyled, those moves just popped up.

And do NOT think about what moves you should do...Let it flow.

But for some people it's hard to let the brain go blank, so just mime along with the song and then you won't be thinkin about the moves, but about the music.

I've danced in professional ballet companies only and am now taking hip hop classes. I think freestyln can't be taught really..i think it's inherent to the dancer, you feel it in your soul, though I will certainly take your tips. Tx!
