@MYGRANDSONDEVIN bring a camera, pens, photographs , paper, lots of cash, etc. also get there early. you can even write to the fan club. DARK SHADOWS fan club P.O.Box 92 Maplewood, NJ 07040. a lot of items, transportattion, & other things are available to purchase at these festivals. have fun.****

FRID is 85 yrs. old. do you live in CA. or will you be travelling there ? i'm a fan but not a big fan. i did like the series & the soundtracks. back in the 80's & 90's most of the DS' festivals were held @ the ABC studiosin New York where they filmed the series. i should of went then. you should have a good time. it's early but remember to be fully prepared & don't forget anything. thank you. Why is David Henesy never present for any interviews or reunions? On all the Dark Shadows DVDs there is not one interview with a child or adult David Henesy. Do they consider him an outcast or something? He was a major character on the show.

@equalityboy81 nothing is ever perfect. i've read that D. Hennessy has a very successful career & is very busy. maybe he is a private person. D. Selby ( Quentin ) didn't appear @ those festivals until later years. he was acting in many movies & TV series. it would be great to see the whole cast together today.***

Netflix offers every one of the Dark Shadows discs for rental. I started with Disc Set One and I'm currently on Disc Set Seventeen. I remember rushing home from school to watch the next episode of the show. I was a year younger than David Henesey at the time. I loved the story of Barnabus. I hope the new Tim Burton film remake of Dark Shadows respects the original storyline. I really cannot see Johnny Depp as Barnabus, but I'm willing to give him a chance.

I really CAN see Johnny Depp as Barnabas. He is perfect for the part. He and Madonna went on record as being fans of the show. Johnny Depp was obsessed with Barnabas as a child. That was his idol. He's always wanted to play him. Johnny is handsome, gothic, and talented. He'd be the perfect vampire.

Dark Shadows great show on TV EVER! I wish SyFy as it's called now would show the shows again as they did when they first started back in the early-mid 90's.

They stil show Twilght Zone, and the likes, why not Dark Shadows?

Mr. Frid, rather than being like his most famous character, Barnabas Collins, is quite different. It only proves how talented he is, because he really created the role from scratch, and at times he made magic on the small screen.

He has apparently taken good care of his health, because he still gets around well for his age, which is so delightful to see! He made the show Dark Shadows and amazing how his career "lives on."

Just a marvel he is. He is so entertaining that I could listen to him all day. His stories are so interesting.  I love his expressions, particularly when he is listening to the questions. Enjoyed his impressions of making the movie "Seizure". His recollection of his casting as Barnabas is priceless. I so appreciate that the producers and writers wanted his input. 'All kind of creepy looking...I was the creepiest of the bunch...' That so tickles me because I've never thought of him as such.
