@phunkyphantom619 there are spesific pouches for specific ammuntion but i do not have any on becasue i have an ammo bag. And yes it is quite different to plc webbing
@littleaprilroses Most candy bars use corn syrup instead of sugar nowdays , you can taste the difference. Also possible the older bars had a higher percentage of cocoa butter instead of the vegetable oil they use now.
@m1carbine94, the dislike of Charms/superstition that they're unlucky is a modern occurrence among servicemen. They were actually quite popular in the 40's.
@ziggybome, I wouldn't brush my teeth with the Barbasol, it's brushless shaving cream, not tooth paste. You can pick up tins of toothpowder (paste was made, but powder was popular in the field since it wouldn't freeze) for about $20 U.S.
@ziggybome I checked a few of the sites I regularly deal with, War Dog Militaria (put that together and add a dot com and you've got their URL) has tins of Kolynos brand tooth powder for $20. Its one of the more common brands, the other that I've seen a lot is Squibb. I hope that helps with your collecting, the people at War Dog are great, I've bought so much stuff from them! One more note on that Barbasol, it contains lead, so I'd suggest washing your hands after touching the tube.
you must mean the e-tool cover is 43' dated right ? great find those are hard to come by in od3 and even harder to find with the non-adjustable belt hook.
@bargunner18 yes its is ment to be e-tool but since i am english i normaly call it a shovel. Yer we were told that they are hard to find the prople i got it from had a huge pile of them but they were mainly the more green ones. My dad got one for £20 from a differnt show dated 1943 with a 1944 shovle in a unisued condition
