  • Ankle breaker is all I have to say Jordan is a legend and you gotta respect that ......the bigger picture in all this is not crossover it was the shot people that's what won the game b can break ankles all day but if he doesn't hit that shot it doesn't even matter......#hatasgonhate.

  • Disliked by Bryon Russell.

  • How to go viral with your video overnight this is 100% guaranteed to deliver 1500 views per night while you sleep Y2BVIEWS com, or checkout my how to vid: /watch?v=uqwhomCAO6o

  • OFFENSIVE FOUL

  • Kobe disliked this..

  • seriously HOW THE FUCK do you dislike this?

  • 1 people is a mormon of Utah

  • Jordan= Tupac of basketball

  • i love micheal jordan hes an amazing player... bt c'mon he abviously pushed him to get the ankle breaker, it probably wasnt hard enough to be an offfensive foul but it definetly put him off balance and it was very unsportsmanshiplike (if thats even a word)

  • @cooltobtrue a better word is unsportsmanlike lol

  • Jordan is the greatest ever. 20 years from now when Bryant and James are retired, people will be comparing the next big star to Jordan and neither of them.

  • @viralthings Exactly. Especially Lebron...no one will compare future potentials to him.

  • MJ may well be the all time greatest player in the NBA however nothing changes the fact that he got away with a push in Russell's back and that is the only reason he got the wide open shot. I won't say that he wouldn't have made a shot over Russell or pulled out some other miracle shot but it would have been a contested shot, rather than an open shot.

  • @mercwyn no no no...this move is called an "ankle breaker", and players always fall this way when their ankles are broken. MJ didn't even have to touch Russell for Russell to fall...that's an ankle breaker.

  • @mercwyn Plus, in 1998, before the rules changed, physical contact was allowed. So even if you think MJ pushed Russell, back then it was legitimate and not a foul.

  • i watched mj and im watching kobe and lebron and they are like little boys to mj.hahaha i think mj beat both of them in a game

  • just beautiful

  • @BULLETofJUSTICE u have no prove when did they play one on one if they never did than u have no prove

  • push off

  • i'm not expert to say it was a foul or not...but noone seemed to complain , if anyone had to kick uo a stink it would be Jazz's bench and they seemed to have to objection...and honestly had i been russel i'd rather be there when history (legend) was made than have a foul called with the likely prospect to go on to lose in game 7 !

  • @sternaparadisea You said "had i been russel"...that's funny because in an interview, Russell showed the same spirit as you. He said it's an honor for him to have been part of history. The video is available on youtube now, search "Russell responds Jordan hall of fame".

  • fuck that was epic man .

  • you people are ridiculous. that wasnt a foul by mj and a basketball game has nothing to do with life being unfair, get over your depressions you idiots.

MJ is the god of basketball and this video is awesome, period.

  • WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!! Jordan is the only person who will ever be able to do something like this!!! Unbelievable!

  • And the funny thing is that it was not just one play. It was the last 3 plays to win the game. He scored within 4 secodns to have the Utah Jazz have to have a shot clock and give the Bulls one more possession. Then he steals the ball from Karl Malone and then without a time out, goes and scores not just the game winning shot, but the shot for the NBA Championship. talk about pressure, composure, finesse, skill. being clutch, etc.... MJ = GOAT!

  • I HAVE THIS WHOLE VIDEO ON VHS!!!!

  • Me too, This is priceless.

  • I can only say, MJ, without a doubt, is the best player in basketball, ever, bye mj

  • jordan is the greatest player

  • i mean he's the best hands down

  • Yes this is why MJ is the best ever too play hand downs

  • Hand downs? I love this video though... What are hand downs... I really dont know. He is the best ever though... The defensive and offensive plays of the game in sequence by that guy...

  • can't belive how he can make that shoot and even getting his oponent aankle breakt, crazy. mj forever!

  • Is that a push there at :56?

  • Just a little pay on the ass GOODBYE! lol

  • They are more sensitive about fouls now in the NBA maybe now they would have called it a foul. They seam to let top players slide more then less famous people though so then again maybe not.

  • Superstars still get superstar treatment. LeBron gets the least amount of fouls called on him per game than anyone else. That pat on the booty would still be a no call... Would you blow the whistle? The Finals.... Greatest and most popular player ever just got a steal and is preparing to take the last shot all in sequence.... Yeah, we know the answer... No one blows that whistle. Game set match.

  • Of course it would be a upsetting to blow the whistle but still you have to play by the rules. It shouldn't matter if you are MJ or Joe shmoe going for that final shot the rules apply to both players the same, they shouldn't be less strict on some players because popularity.

  • Life isnt fair.... Dante Stallworth just killed a man and will do 30 days in jail. That wouldnt happen if I did the same crime. Fair is fair but, there is Bill Gates and you... Jordan and Russell. There are immortals out there... Their pockets are fatter, egos bigger, people wish they were these people they idolize, and they get their way because of it. Refs are fans too. They masquerade as officials but, they are paid to get the best view in the house.

  • You basically said "life is unfair" in one long rant. I agree with you, but because life is unfair we should not look at everything and say "oh life is unfair". There are some things we can fix. Things shouldn't be ignored because life is unfair, with that mentality many more fixable things in life would be unfair.

  • Dude, by the time that Jordan gave him that little tap, Russell was alresady toast. He already needed a map to get back to his defense position. It's the finals. Good no call.

  • Looked like a big shove to me, he had his hand on him a good two seconds and continued to push even after he "jooked" him.

  • Nah, good no call. In the finals, you earn it by sheer will not bail out calls.

  • First of all, the NBA has gone soft. The game was 100% more physical then. Second of all Russell slipped when he tried to change directions, well after Jordan touched him. There was nothing to call there.

  • @Emersumbigens A good way to make someone slip is to push them, just look at :56 dude its an obvious fucking push. The reason why it wasn't called was because hes Micheal fucking Jordan. Player bias at its finest. But ya seriously pause it at :56 its a clear push. He even stumbles in that direction as people do when there pushed.

  • @XSinDestroyerOfAllX Man it's not a push...from the behind-the-back angle, MJ's hand is aligned with Russell's leg but you can't see if they're touching or not, due to the camera angle. Now let's say something: regardless of whether MJ pushed Russell or not, Russell got his ankles broken by Jordan, so he would slip anyway. The move is called "ankle breaker", and many many times players get their ankles broken, and without any contact, they slip and fall. That's the reason why Russell fell.

  • @Emersumbigens You're absoutely right. Today's NBA disallows handchecking, and they implemented the 3 second rule, which, to make a long story short, completely destroyed the defensive plays and watered down the game of basketball. Now about your comment about the slip...the move MJ pulled on Russell is a well known move called an "ankle breaker", and players almost automatically slip when they fall victim to that move. With no physical contact, players fall all the time due to the ankle breaker

  • You know who knows who is better? Ask Phil Jackson, he coached Kobe and Jordan.

  • jordan is clutch he's the best there ever was no need to ask phil jackson, cause the proof is in the videos!

  • Please, don't ask Phil, go compare stats and consider that Jordan never had Shaq on the Bulls. There's your answer.

  • yeah and Lakers didn't have Pippen

  • Please, if I had a nickel for every time Jordan bailed his ass out i'd be rich. Trust me I saw most games and know the history and Pippen was a huge name more because of Jordan than anything else.

  • @jkoruty You say you watched every game? If you did, you'd know about that move called an "ankle breaker", and that's exactly the move MJ pulled on Russell. Plus, you'd know that ankle breakers make players slip and fall all the time, requiring no physical contact whatsoever. So my point is that regardless of whether MJ pushed, or even touched Russell...Russell was already falling because Jordan broke Russell's ankles. He pulled the well known move, the "ankle breaker".

  • @WorldOfSnakes

Yep, that was a hell of an ankle breaker. If I am Russell, I am still going to physical therapy sessions, hahahaha.

  • Yeah, and Kobe can't play defense like Jordan did. That was the great thing about MJ. He didn't relax on D, he played both sides of the ball better than anybody. Don't get me wrong, Kobe is absolutely my favorite player in the league today, but he is no MJ.

  • @Emersumbigens don't u get it it's a new era people don't really care about dominating they get paid they get other shit they don't care but people like jordan were from the old days when u had to be tough 24 7 and it became a part of you and to say someone who has the same skills as him and just does not use it like him is better that we don't know cause there is no prove awards don't count u can only prove this on a one on one game which we will never see

  • Comment removed

  • lebron is way to better than kobe..but MJ is still the best..5 times MVP in the regular season,,,and made the bulls champs 6 times..

  • You got it! Exactly - NO WAY are either Kobe or "King James" better than "The Great 1" - Michael Jordan

  • oh boo hoo different refs call it different ways, good players adapt to each group of refs they see, that is what Michael did he knew the way he "pushed off" wouldn't be a foul and no ref is going to take a game like that into their own hands, in basketball we call that letting the players play the game

  • LJ is bettaa then kobe 2 me i dont no bout u so dont hate

  • where can i get the pic at the start off the vid

  • no kobe no lebron without MJ,i always watched this game i can't believed that mj can able to lead his team in 41.1 seconds, THE BEST MJ NO ONE LIKE HIM,BUT KNOW KOBE IS THE BEST PLAYER TODAY,

  • im a kobe fan but michael jordan is the G.O.A.T

  • kobe fans probably didnt see mj's games throughout his career. so thats why they always compare kobe to mj and claims that kobe is the greatest. dream on kobe fans!

  • Kobe is great, no question. Will his skills net him another title? I hope. Think about this though. Jordan won an NBA title in every FULL season he played with the bulls since the 1990-91 season. Two threepeats with two different teams besides coach and Pip. Will Kobe or anyone ever accomplish this again in the NBA? Jordan's skills evolved over his career from slasher/dunker to floor general and jumpshooter. The jumpshot earned him 6 titles, not flashy street ball skills. HE IS DA GOAT!

  • JORDANS THE BEST HANDSZ DOWN!

  • That video was so tense. Really good video!!!

  • Shoulda stayed retired after that!

  • holy mother f****** shit

  • really cool video :)

  • I'm a Jazz fan. It would be best if the game had ended better,BUT,why insist that one play meant the championship? The series was 3-2,NOT 3-3. We needed to win that game,AND THE NEXT, to win the title. Could Utah have done that, based on "our" play in the previous games & series? Who knows. It is fun to play "if only that ref had..",but a conspiracy and court case only hurts the game. The next young Jazz team almost made the finals two years ago! Wouldn't THAT have been a thrill (or shock)!

  • 1. He didn't travel. Rule is 2 steps then you have to dribble, unless you're moving to the basket.

    2. Malone didn't fall until Jordan had the ball, and Jordan's feet never moved, Malone ran into them.

    3. Watch it again. Jordan hardly touched him. Russel was trying to flop, because you don't just put your hand on a 180 pound man and he goes skating across the court.

  • ur just hating cause Jordan is the best and ur team got humiliated

  • dude just accept the fact that michael jordan was the greatest that no one can match

  • your stupid

    fat piece of shit

  • well, he is the best..

  • Was that Phil Jackson?

  • Kobe ain't even 1/10 as good.

  • yes. yes he is.

  • I would say 7/10 of Jordan.

Kobe has larger range of offensive moves, but the missing 3/10 is the capacity to carry his team in crunch time, do the supernatural when things seem lost, just like MJ did.

Ive been a laker fan for 19 yrs now.

  • "Kobe has larger range of offensive moves"

Obviously, U never saw MJ circa 1986-90 have U? That MJ wasn't called "Air Jordan" for nothing?

That's "WHY" they used to say during those yrs "creativity, thy name is michael" LOL..

U guys ALWAYS make comments like that, because you're comparing kobe to MJ circa 1996-98, but those AREN'T MJ's PRIME yrs!

If U saw MJ circa 1986-90, you'd know how utterly absurd that comment sounds..

  • @blackadam06

Dude, the most rediculous comparison is Kobe to Jordan. I respect the kid but he is nothing but a Jordan wannabe with a great offensive arsenal but not quite the number of heroics.

  • @jkoruty how do u know do u have prove is there a one on one game of kobe and jordan that u would like to show us cause no one knows so which means we can't compare or say stuff about it mj did not invent this game so lets not say his this and that nobody knows maybe it's not kobe maybe it's not jordan who knows this world is full of people

  • @oliverrainman

How do I know what? That Kobe doen't have the same number of heroics that Michael has? Simple, he just doesn't. A one on one game? I did not make reference to this, so I don't know why you come off your face with that. I just know two players. One is great. The other one is known as the greatest ever. This is why the comparison is ridiculous. The fact that they never played a one on one doesn't keep me from comparing their stats, accolades and histories.

  • @andromeda843 it doesn't matter that to me does not mean ur great just cause u had a chance at a game winner not all games winners are the same remember that it's not always the same team and ur not always guarded the same way so still if u make it or not does not explain much

  • @oliverrainman

Dude, what are you even saying. Anyway. Most people acknowledge Michael as the greates ever, definetely not kobe nor anyone else.

  • @oliverrainman I understand what you're saying. I read your comments and you seem like someone who's intelligent. However it is also clear that you weren't there back then to watch Michael Jordan. That's what flaws your view.

  • Ha what a stupid comment.. everybody knows that fouls aren't as tight during playoff time. Imagine if they would've called an offensive foul on Jordan.. THEN there would have been an asterisk next to the Jazz's title. Besides that, MJ already had him crossed up.. he didn't push him away to get him off, he pushed off him for balance, which is completely fine. Welcome to the game of basketball.

  • malone? are u crazy, what the hell has he ever done?

  • In basketball, when you're on D there are two styles. One is you shuffle side to side staying in front. When you get beat you have to turn and run. Russell had already turned to run because michael was going around him. Then when Michael cut back Russell was out of position. If there was any push at all it was a tiny one and does not look like it influenced Russell at all.

  • Greatest NBA clip i've witnessed till this day....

  • To people who say he pushed Russell, i think you ignore the most telling sign...Russell! Look at him after the shot. There was no complaining to the referee...even when the Jazz called a timeout after the shot! There was no indication from him or ANY of the Jazz players and coaches that they felt cheated. That angle is deceptive. Michael only freed up his hand and momentum led Russell to the floor. Russel overplayed b/c the play before, Jordan drove right by him with the right. Great crossover!

  • You are exactly right. Anyone who says that he pushed Russell is blind. If you've ever executed that move, or been a a victim of it, after it was done properly there is no pushin involved. "Russel overplayed.." witch is why u lost his balance and fell. By far the best shot ive seen in the NBA Finals, let alone any basketball game, EVER. and the feeling i felt at 10years old was amazing, i still have it on tape, Jordan 23 G.O.A.T....sorry Kobe lovers he will never be as good as MJ!!!

  • yeah, yeah i saw the "push", the palm to the back of his right thigh? please my 12 year brother wouldn't fall down after that. If your dumb ass chooses to watch the clip again you will see that he fell because he tried to change the direction of his movement to rapidly, subsequent to being displaced by Jordan's crossover.

  • wtf are you saying u idiot he was running even a little push could get u off balance when ur running

  • its only a foal if the refs call it....and the refs didn't call it ;P thank god for that too....

  • man jordan is great! just to bad that shot wasnt his last shot in the NBA

  • was that the prettiest shot you ever seen? form...release....splash!! game over!

  • chills

  • hey nice film, MJ is great!!

  • This is an amazig video micheal jordan is the best.

  • this is such a great video, i really felt the tension and michael jordan must have had emormous pressure on him to pull this one off!!! Great video!! :)
