    Thanks mate.

  • Hey, I've watched all the lessons hear, and just so that you know, you are the best bloomin teacher on you tube! Keep up the good work

  • hey! nice shirt!

  • If this is how people think you learn music, no wonder musicians are a dying breed.

Just fuggin play. Use your ears, this shit will only confuse you. None of this stuff is that complicated.

  • @CosmicAlfonzo you are supposed to work up to this, not just start with this, dont hate if this is above your abilities

  • what the hell language is this guy speaking?

  • @SuperNoobTroll I wanted to give you an answer untill I saw your name.

  • At 7:30 you mean C major 13 right =P?

  • At least now I know what it feels like to be an overheating nuclear reactor.

  • thank you Justin for all the vids on jazz and other theories....i have been interested in jazz for all my guitar playing life( over thirty years) .....your approach to teaching is very helpful in a well explained manner...i do admit that i get plenty from other sites as well but you do warrant a compliment and recognition....this video on the I VI II V I was very helpful in improvising.... keep up the great teaching work,,,,,CHEERS!!

  • Great Video!

  • Thanx a lot Justine yougot the talent to make a long story short and easy to follow :-D

  • thank you, this is very interesting

  • meh I need more practice xD

  • Needs more 13b9

  • cool. reminds of stairway to heaven - A down to F chromatically through chords but descending

  • Top

  • why didn't he use D dominant 7 @6:50.... if he chose to go chromatically he could have chosen D dominant 7 which was being used at several occasions before as a substitute for D minor 7.... fishy! :P

  • Mr. Sandercoe. You rock! I have learnt nearly all the jazz shapes on your websites and am now learning the modes!! Thanks, UK Somerset. Ren.

  • this dude knows his shit....plus, good looking dude with an aussie accent, dude probably pulls in more ass than a toilet seat...damn you justinsandercoe!!!!

  • why did you make the vi chord at the end dominate..?

  • Why not write the chords you are using for the exercise??? Would help to follow. Thanks

  • Step 1: Google Chrome

    Step 2: AdBlock Extension

    Step 3: Thumbs up!

  • I don't get the melody notes - how did you choose them? did you already have a melody beforehand or are you just picking the notes that sound the smoothest or best?

  • @stevieVantanna all he does is go C D E F G A B C lol (with flats and sharps ofc)

  • @JonasAtGuitar yeah I know, but I just wanted to know why.

    thanks anyway.

  • @stevieVantanna The melody notes are just a chromatic rise

  • Genius, thanks

  • Thank you very much for sharing! After alot of practice it feels great to play this! I think there's no better guitar teacher on Youtube than you! ^^

  • thanks justin.

  • thanks.

  • marvellous work

I dont usually get past the first 4

I ll try to this time

  • Dude, you are awesome. Youtube needed this, as did I =] jazz soloing concepts next would be a great help for a lot of us out here

  • NO SE LE ENTIENDE LA EXPLICACION.

  • justin you are amazing!

you gotta do some lessons on jazz soloing!!

thanks alot for all of the lessons =]

  • Thank you very much for the lesson... I'm a "self learner" so that helps a lot, very clear explaination~

  • thx for the dubious amt of lessons, just needs to a bit louder

  • Justin's lessons are like deep massages- they hurt a little but they feel great after.

  • Who taught YOU all this stuff Justin????????????????? You must have been playing since a very young age to know all you do about playing guitar.

  • hey, can you give some advices for minor 2-5-1s as well?

    Thanks for the effort!

  • I got drain bamage!

  • Great as always, Justin. Thanks!

  • Haha, all the people saying their brains are hurting.. Jazz is complicated, isn't it? ;)

I liked this lesson a lot! Thanks, I'll try it out :)

  • Any advice on jazz fingerpicking? It seems there's a special way to fingerpick chords in jazz, but i can't figure it out.

  • Excellent lesson (again)! If there's something I need to drill, it's my chord sequencing and understanding.

    Thanks a lot! :)

Justin: Do you do online webcam lessons? I went into the whole technical aspect of things, got lost, and I'm trying to get back into the "basics" of making real music, hahah :P

  • well i watched it.. the chords sounds nice... but i could have been watching it in Azerbaijani for the amount I understood.... bacl to paractising my simple songs

  • I lost track right after the introduction... :o)

  • @meinaim HAHAHAHAHA!! :)

  • great job

Man that was pretty, think I need your chord building book.

    Thank for sharing

  • For those of you who do not like ads. There is an add on for Firefox called Adblocker that removes all ads!!

  • @eromattiffarg

so, would you call that an "ad(d) off"?

    :-)

  • Don't know why folks keep wining on about adds. I never see them, only the lessons Justin gives freely on his website You Tube. Thanks for these new ones as well Justin.

  • @stevalianarbone Hi, over here there are like 30 seconds ads first then ads at the bottom of the page. you can, just go ahead of the ads.google is ruining a beautiful thing. But Justin, he is fantastic, love his lessons! very cool guy.

  • Why do Justins videos had ads now?

  • They're free? I don't mind watching the ads. The videos are good.

  • @theoak84 To make more dough, no shit.

  • @theoak84 Probably because he's nice enough to give these hundreds of well executed guitar lessons for free, and needs to support himself somehow. It takes you 20-30 seconds of your life to watch the add, how long do you think it takes him to film, edit, and post these lessons?

  • @jstn4102 Hes doing it for free on his own time. I think Google just knows how popular he is, so they pay him money to advertise. Its business. I like the lessons, and they are helpful.

  • Another fantastic lesson. Really loving your Jazz Videos :) Keep 'em coming! :P

  • nevermind. i get it now. o:

  • i get that the top notes are chromatic but are the chords (the rest of the notes) based on a particular scale or are they just random chords with I VI II V bass notes?

  • Man, I have to put some serious study into chord vocab for the rest of the year. Cheers for the motivation Justin. Yikes!!

  • mario sound ! :)

  • thants what i was looking for all my life !!!

  • Do you have any videos covering music theory?

  • I like it. I'm lost but I like it.

  • Those chords near the 12th fret are gonna kill my fingers. It's really something to achieve them with ease.

Again, thanks Justin for those neat jazz lessons :) Just having a little hard time remembering the name of the chords, even though I know them.

  • my brain is hurting!

  • awesome tele sound

  • great stuff Justin, you are an excellent teacher - many thanks

  • rhythm changes

  • Fascinating stuff, great to see you do these higher level guitar lessons.

  • that's a nice guitar, is it a bastardized or a custom order tele?

  • Hey Justin, I really like the jazz lessons. I understand what your doing, but a question, what is the scale that your going up on the top note of the chords? Thanks!

  • @mhandel He's going up the chromatic scale, so that's just half steps up all the time.

  • @Foodie88 Yeah, the top note is going up a fret at a time but fitting inside the chord progression CM7 - A7 - Dm7 - G7. Pretty cool stuff

  • Brilliant exercise. I've been a subscriber for a long time, and I am indebted to your lessons! Check out my channel for my guitar instrumentals and lessons (just getting started!)

  • Justin you've been a busy bunny the last few days with all these new updates!

  • thx

  • Sure, no prolem. Let me know what you need via facebook..

  • excellent justin!

  • Nice :D

  • very helpful, thanks!
