A beautiful poem. Looked this up cos I've just found a handwritten letter from Edith Sitwell among my late father's belongings. She wrote it to my great grandfather when his wife died - it's really sweet and kind.

If it's anti-war it is certainly stating some sort of opinion! How could it not do? It's not meant to be specifically anti-American, though.
