I have a 2002 SL500 silver arrow edition. Can anyone tell me the total production number of that car? I know there are 1450 of them in the US and 100 in the UK.

@Poptartza According to the germen wiki only 1550 were built. Maby they were avalible only in US and UK? Btw are you sure it's a 2002? Last production-year was 2001. Anyhow, congratulations to a rare SL - keep it away from after-market products!:)

This was my wedding car ,the Sl 500 version, black, lowered and with AMG wheels, 8 years ago...simply fantastic! I'm the proud owner of a Mitsubishi 300 Gt and of a Porsche 993, but this will be surely my next car! ...Or i have to wait to get married again to drive it another time, eheheh???!!! :-)

@jasperMB No it is not. It's a 2+2 but I've heard that by German authority you can't be taller than 1.50 meters when sitting in the back (so only small children can). You wouldn't be able to fit in there anyway. It is not a 2+2 if you have the special soundsystem, then the subwoofer takes away the two seats.

This generation of SL is one class act. I've always wanted one. There's no confusing a '90 SL for a new car, but it's got a great modern classic appeal about it now. I still want one. Very dissapointed to learn it's based on a modified W124 chassis. For $80k, it should be new from the ground up. Also very dissapointed with the performance of the car, even with V8 it's slow as hell. Nicer cruiser nontheless.

i have SL 500..it costed much to fix...but its very VERY HIGH QUALITY...mine is 1993 and age hasnt changed anything in it.....its better than many new carssss.. its BUILT not MADE!:D:D
