  • buah, que pasada, esto sí es una pieza de arte!! :)

  • its amazing to see true music is still slightly alive especially in todays scociety

  • This piece reminds me of my Music Conservatory that I attend :)

  • impresionante cancion se me pone la carne de gallina solo de escucharla

  • Clearly Justin Beiber is more talented. Who listens to this garbage?

  • @TopRomanSoup Obvious llort is obvious, and a fail.

  • @abagailkolk Why ruin it for me? I do this weekly to get the hate mail. But I guess I should reward you for not being like every other sheep. Here's the cookie and glass of milk.

  • @TopRomanSoup That's your opinion, you see to me Justin Bieber is garbage. So why are you even listening to this in the first place Belieber? XD

  • Ahhh perfect song to fall asleep! :)

  • WHAT A RICH STIRRING WEVE ALL GIVEN THE GRAND MINERALS OF THIS EARTH B4 OUR MOTHER EARTH WASHES US ALL AWAY

  • 79 personnes sourd -_-'

    My favorit one

  • It's impossible to not feel proud of our species while listening to this piece. I want this playing while I'm lying on my death bed, in those final moments * Bonus if it's Yo-Yo Ma Live.

  • I like how he tunes in sync with baroque period instruments. I believe that his strings are tuned down 1 half step (Cb, Gb, Db, Ab) Nothing less than perfect.

  • cual es el nombre de esta pieza

  • @metallimedu el título lo dice.. CELLO SUITE No.1... es el BWV1007 ;)

  • Probably the 8th time I've returned to this video after failing to find a competent counterpart.

  • It's eargazmic..

  • Romantic style with exaggerated rubato? this piece comes from the baroque era where the tempo was more measured.

Romantic Bach, wrong interpretation no? Pablo Casals, is generous in his robbing time interpreting this piece, but the continuous baroque pulse is still felt.

Look on you tube for: ‘Julian Bream; Bach Prelude in D’ hear the piece played (almost) perfect rhythm, yet heart felt.

Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could take a peak back in time to hear Bach play. Now there’s a thought.

  • leaves me speechless.

  • Whatever happened to such amazing music like this?

  • @riddleguitar26 black people and poetry happened

  • I remember being taught the style of this painting back in middle school ahh sweet nostalgia.....

  • I absolutely love Bach and anyone who can play his music with the love and respect it DESERVES!!!! LOVELY...

  • came for the allemande, stayed for the courante

  • @segalevi Thanks.

  • I love that one <3

  • man im stupid!

  • wait does that pic go on forever?

  • the first picture: i wish i could draw like that!

  • @fgreige1

    Thomas Cole-- "The Oxbow," 1836

  • What's the painting called?

  • I think the first 2 minutes and 20 seconds are mind-blowing not just the fist 20 seconds

  • I'm totally going to learn this! I want to play it on the street come sring time :D

  • Mind blowing. the whole piece left me speechless

  • Finally a Youtube Video without any stupid remarks about:

    1.Chuck Norris

    2. Justin Bieber

    3. Dislike bar resembling a light saber

  • @JasvinBindra Not any more since you brought it up..

  • @JasvinBindra and you just ruined it

  • Ya know, oddly enough.. Progressive metal is what got me into classical music. This is an amazing song.

  • Johann Sebastian Bach, and classical composers like him, will certainly be remembered for what they did for humanity.

  • I agree with the last 2 comments 100%

  • Classical music is Poetry in Notes

  • This suit belongs to top 100 of classical music. How come that there are people who dislike that kind of genre?

  • @annaxa786 Because, some people don't have good taste in music.

  • Hehe I first herd this from a show....and its my favorite out of all the cello songs they played.....once again I play the piano...but after hearing some of the cello and violin songs like "Ave Maria" it makes me wants to play the cello or the violin XD

  • magnifico.

  • Thank you!

  • EPIC.

  • Hangover part 2 :)

  • The first 2:00 minutes made my heart tremble so hard, I was worried for a moment!

  • I love how classical or orchastraic music is easily aplied to any aspect of life, and is not restricted by lyrics to just one language or situation. When I hear this song (strange as it may be) I think of a bird fying over a gray sea and light house on a beautifully dreary day. Its almost like I can feel the sea spray and wind.

  • teddy brought me here ;P

  • ORGASM

  • lol G String

  • The whole piece is awesome but the first 20 seconds are mindblowing.

  • @MisterMajister more like 30 seconds ;D

  • @MisterMajister im with you. the first 20 seconds are my favorite part of any song ive ever listened to. dont you wish the whole song followed closer to that part? :P

  • @FearTheImpaler if the whole song was like that then it wouldn't be a masterpeice. this song is an entire story, thats like saying that you only like the begining of the book and want it to go on forever with out ever knowing how it ends..

  • they really must make movie about Bach !!!!!!!!

  • I love the sound of cellos. <3

  • I was deaf, but now I hear.

  • @Meltedsnake4 When they are at the rehearsal dinner the son plays this for everybody.

  • which part of this is from hangover 2? like which time sectionn?

  • @sarah1638100 I think it's from the beginning until about 2:14 I know that he plays up until the end of the prelude but I think they may cut out part of the middle so that it doesn't take up too much time.

  • @cwalk50rice oh okay, thanks...i really liked the section from the movie but i couldnt recognize it here so i wanted to make sure that i had the right video

  • @sarah1638100 0:00 to 0:30 basically

  • @ElectricG okay thank you

  • C'est quoi le nom du tableau dans l'arriere-plan ? merci

  • 1. Prelude

    2. Allemande

    3. Courante

    Performed by Yo-Yo Ma

    lol wut

  • one of my favourite classical pieces. Bach is magnificent.

  • Hangover 2

  • comparing this to today's music makes you realize how greed in the music industry has led to a lack of emotion and talent. why cant someone come along is purely in it for the music?

  • @cosmiccharlie45 I really hate these kinds of nostalgic generalizations, as if things "used to be better." They show up an pretty much any music that wasn't made in the last 20 years. There are plenty of musicians like that out there for anyone who looks beyond the mainstream of the music industry.

  • @Arglactable i agree 100 percent. i was referring more to the major record labels that instead of looking to sign the most talented and innovative music act sign someone they can turn into an icon to sell t-shirts and perfumes. thus making it harder for the musical acts we enjoy (who aren't in the mainstream) to be seen. Sorry i should have specified who i was referring to in my first comment

  • Anyone else feeling the deeply sexual undertones in this? Hahahaha

  • @CannibalWhirm yes, I do. I find this piece profoundly spiritual and sexual. I don't know how anyone can say this is relaxing. If you're relaxing to classical music then you're missing something. It's full of exaltation, despair, ecstasy, reverence, harmony and passion.

  • @quietmountain8 unless of course you find all music relaxing and just enjoy the music that has been given to us

  • @abslutezeroXpie yes perhaps, but I am glad I get so much more from music than that. I know composers such as Bach, Beethoven and Mozart would find the concept of simply relaxing to such music vulgar and uninspired...Beethoven would happily smack you in the head and call you stupid. What a great man.

  • @quietmountain8 oh most defiantly he would.

  • @evilbob1001 then you obviously haven't been with a woman who you know, with the glance of her eyes, could destroy you; but that she's as helpless against as you, as you are to her, when she feels your hand against hers. I have never felt more alive than being married to the love of my life. There is no emotion greater than love. And if i'm wrong, and love is not an emotion, than Id rather feel no other emotion ever again, for no other feeling comes close.

  • @lol2urfaceify

    Beautifully stated.

  • drawing a ship while listening to this definitely feels right.

  • i loved this solo in the movie " the soloist" i think with jamie foxx and rdj, but i just watched "the hangover 2" and got in the mood to watch it again lol

  • hitman blood money

  • Not only for your ears, your mind rejoices with such beauty!!

  • I think this song explains the emotion of love.

  • @jfjkf Love IS NOT an emotion.

  • @evilbob1001 You're a retard.

  • Wow. The music and the paining seem to go so well together. I enjoy exploring the painting while listening to this piece.

  • Thumbs up if you first heard this in "Judging Amy!"

  • @GhostPlanetFilms what is 'judging amy'?

  • @UnitedWeFallTogether It was a TV series about a New York attorney named Amy.

This played at the end of one of their episodes. During a serious moment.

  • @GhostPlanetFilms ohh -- neat.

  • Amazing , finally te full version :)

  • music is life

  • You know what's great about classical? No censorship.

  • @Zachdudeio2 Why would there be censorship here?

  • I love rock and that kind of music, but Bach is just magical!

  • sooo peaceful! does anybody know where i can download this?

  • @gtownrugbyplayer Probably on iTunes or the like. Look up "Yo-Yo Ma Bach Cello Suite No. 1" or something similar to that.

  • @gtownrugbyplayer you can go to vid2mp3 . com and rip the audio from the video :)

  • Ahh...over 1.5 million views! Real music is appreciated...

  • A esas 72 personas deberian cortarles el dedito y meterselo en su culo apestoso :)

  • @magnetosua por qué? tal vez alguna de ellas tenga alguna razón valida para no gustarle la interpretación de la obra! o tal vez sea el arreglo!

  • great pictute, it combines the torment and the light, like this song

  • ....I actually got the very first part when I was fooling around with my cello just by memory...... FINALLY, I'VE FOUND U!!!!!!

  • Oh, I forgot to ask where did you get the picture in the back ground? It's beautiful. Thanks again for uploading this captivating music.

  • @babehuiy The art piece is The Oxbow, View from Mount Holyoke, Northampton, Massachusetts, after a Thunderstorm, by Thomas Cole, a painter of the Hudson River School.

  • @TheGatosarnoso Thanks a million for everything :-)

  • This helps me soo much when doing this repugnant advance placement homework! <3

  • This looks like a simular picture of the Chesapeake Bay before Lord Baltimore came to town :). What beauty to go along with this delicate sounding song

  • Ah! I'm in another world....

  • I have an ear for music and in its purest form, this is the best of all Genres. Classical is infinite thumbs up!

  • every time i hear a composition like this, it confuses me how music has transformed into today's garbage

  • 72 people thought a cello suite was a hotel room

  • Maybe One Republic got their ideas inspired by this piece for their hit 'Secrets'

  • This music is the true definition of serenity. Bach was a masterful composer and a genius at work.

  • The perfect picture for this song. Brings a tear to my eye listening to this.

  • I don't understand why my friends are listening to Kid Cudi when they could be listening to this...

  • whats nice

  • its amazing that all people came here because they were looking for it. So am i!

  • I finally found this by watching Steven Sharp Nelson's version. I like it.

  • Wow I guess I wasn't the only one looking for this!

  • Bach was made when God tried to divide by zero!

  • Thank you so much ~pamela

  • YES! I FOUND IT!

  • For the flowers and the skies cannot compare to your eyes,

nor the shiny dawn compare to your smile,

I perish for your love upon this crimson-tainted sunset.

Let me rise up and see you by my side,

    once again...one more time.

  • Bellisimo!

  • bellisimo en violin

  • I came across this piece in the weridest way. I was play hitman blood money, and was about to fiber wire choke someone who was playing this piece lol

  • i remember when this video only had like a little over a 1000 views. i can still listen to this song for years to come

  • Amazing, I wish to one day write music such as this when I'm older!

  • @fsujci

Not to discourage you but you won't be able to accomplish such a feat. Bach is certainly one of the greats if not the greatest himself. He's on a different level from you and I.

  • Simplesmente perfeito

  • I'm studying with this. So relaxing

  • Beautiful. Simple as that.

  • @killer718638 ha, wow, the power of music :)

    But I play the cello
