  • if you notice, the front driveshaft has been pulled because the front tires arent smoking......pay attention to details........this is just a RWD car tearing it up on the track. you wanna see AWD tearing it up, look up the dahlback racing golf....thats 8-900 hp AWD smoking it up

  • this is CARISMA GT !!!!!!!!

  • Tokyo drift!

  • Sultan RS in GTA 4 :D

  • i tryed drifting 1 time in a car show i did kinda good

  • 4 wheel power <3 love evo's

  • gotta love the old evo's

  • rwd - drift ,awd-powerslide

  • O N L Y T H E J A P E N E S E ! ! !

  • Ok so now we are all drift experts ehhh???

Well counter steering is needed regardless of the drive-train.....Just depends as when it is applied..

If you look really closely the jun hyper lemon( iirc) driver does counter steer the car...

Dude you kind of have to, considering you are steering the car with he back wheels man...Like I said depends when you apply it.less with awd , as you have power flowing thru 4 wheels....Awd drifting requires much more speed, power and steering angle than say rwd

  • Just watch the in car views of a rally car driver, such as, hmmmm, ken block ring a bell? He doesnt counter steer? Yeah ok try again....

  • 4wd makes drifting too easy. At least with every other combo it takes some skill.

  • @peepeevagi LMAO - Ok then

  • Nah its pretty hard, aslong as the front tyres are facing the opposite direction the car is turning then its a drift. AWD's are good for Gymkhana.

  • And I assume you drift awd on a daily basis?

Actually if this were 4wd it wouldn't turn never mind drift......Ever drive a 4wd vehicle on dry pavement?.....

You are def a euro-kid or video game race car driver.....jk..nin

  • But imagine if he did it in a 2wd eighties lancer. I'd be ten times as cool.

  • you're a dumbass

  • who says Asians cant drive?

  • asians is the best drivers in the world :P, also the thing with people saying girls can't drive, the main reason for that is girls arent as intrested in cars as boys, also boys tend to drive more agressive

  • its AWD you dumb fucks

  • Its AWD. he wasn't counter steering so it has to be.

  • you have to counter to drift

  • not really.countering helps control the drift. as long as ur sliding through a continous corner, ur drifting. countersteering makes it look better. thats all.

  • not really...

have enough understeer (such as on an awd) and countersteering would just correct the drift.

  • you guys are all dumb as fuck who the fuck cares

i think its front wheel drive hahaha

  • impossible to be AWD because of the steering he did. its RWD

  • it isn't the rwd

didn't you saw the front tires?

  • its because of the throw style manouver he did and the wet track that made the evo run sideways. perfect track too. well thought out.

  • Nu,japonai kaip visada neapsisiukslina ;O

  • AWD FTW

The front wheels are spinning too which allows the car to manouvre sideways without the need for countersteering...

  • dumbass

did you ever sit next to a guy drifting an evo or an impreza to make that claim??

i have and i've seen that they never stop spinning the damn wheel allways correcting the angle.

drifting in a AWD is fucking hard because of the fact the front wheels are spinning.

  • @Loginasdfg and the fact you can get more angle then a rwd because the front tires are spinning...

  • this one looks like an AWD. look the way the car drifts. It' s more like an AWD.

  • look the front wheels.. it's impossible for any RWD after this Scandinavian flick to get out of this corner without counter-steering, that will be required to control the induced oversteer. Also notice the understeer while the car is accelerating and exiting the corner.

  • I have this On DVD, Its RWD dont belive me go buy the damn DVD

Like i said its using a Watanabe Center Diff to convert it to RWD, BECAUSE THAT CAR IS SPONSORED BY THEM.

  • it is AWD, i can bet =)

  • Oh yeah man lets see you try drift a rear wheel drive car without huge counter steer.... suuuuure.

  • it doesn't make the evo RWD, it allows ajustement on the torque that goes to the front wheels...just likes a STI has, but there is still some power going at the front wheels....

  • No no there isn't lol becuase when you use the Wantanabe service drift it says in the directions after installing it to remove your front half shafts. please don't tell me what i know. people on youtube can say all they want but when your talking to some one who is building up a Evo IV for AWD and to do some drifting you may want to think twice

  • Feint drift right there as he comes into the corner he steers left n right loosing traction to his wheels causing the car to slip.

  • whats with the wing? its ugly

  • downforce he is drifting...

  • Rofl doesn't deserve the thumbs up, he isn't going fast enough to create enough down force to take effect.

  • cause you know the speeds they are hitting i sure as hell dont and cause you know all the other tracks they are racing at?

  • Tracks don't mean anything and how can downforce take effect when the air isn't freely travelling over the edge of the wing? My guess is they are going 40-60.

  • but besides all that the wing can also help slow them down so... maybe it has virtually no effect but its really if it helps the driver drive in a small way why not have it? I would rather drive better cause i know i can brake faster or have more weight pushed to my rear when i need it most...

  • haha and u prob cant even drive stick

  • Yes I can lol, anyone who can't drive a 5 speed is a moron. I learned on 5 speed and own all standard's except my grand prix and only because it wasn't offered in standard.

  • lol yea that true but that wasnt a bad drift.

  • its called a spoiler not a wing

  • whatever same thing

  • its not that incredible, its all depend on the car's setting

  • why dont u try

  • I agree with wudi911.... AWD with good setup is pretty easy to slide... he even had it pro-tuned.. so... i3316, you are incorrect sir.. but i bet it cost a-lot of money. ;P... i can't afford it.. but i prefer Evo 4's

  • wow just goes to show how far drifting has come

  • actualy, this vid is pretty damn old. definetly b4 drifting was all the hype. thats pretty much special stage rally driving

  • yes. drift shouldn't really have lack of countersteer, even tho it was for initiatin it. 4wd is not for drift, that goes sideways anyway

  • you're an idiot.

  • may i ask why you saying that? evo lover?

  • I love cars in general, but you are an idiot for saying AWD is not for drift, when really, there are no specific drive layouts that were made just for drifting, cars were never made to 'drift' although some are suited to do it better than others. I am going to leave it at that, I can only put so many letters into a comment.

  • AWDs are well known for good traction. What I meant by "drift shouldn't have lack of countersteer", is that that car had to be steered INTO the corner to make it flick at all, then complete opposite happened, countersteer, yet the car kept "traction", fuckin hard to spin it at all, so matter what you do. Whereas if you did that "all-over-the-place" steer with a RWD you would be on the grass - I believe much harder to control the way you want.

That's all I wanted to say, no need to be so hostile.

  • what you mean by that this video was originally released in 1998 LOL

  • 4WD wrongness

  • pretty neat, i like it

  • RWD>4WD

  • i'v seen better

  • thats bad

  • well I will have 38 with the rice then dawg

  • Nice drift - I think they call that a "Number 38 with special fried rice" in the drifting lingo.

  • haha
