Buku2 terdapat di perpustakaan khazanah di beberapa negeri. tetapi ini adalah yang berlaku pada 10 tahun sebelum merdeka. Jalan cerita ini sepatutnya memberi gambaran yang lebih besar tetapi isi kandungan ini lebih memihak kepada satu pihak. Cuba fahami maksud dokumentari dan propaganda..

Kalau baca akhbar The Straits Times, ada berita yang melaporkan terdapat ugutan terhadap peniaga untuk tutup kedai pada hari hartal. Siapa yang mengugut tak dapat dikenalpasti. Mungkin penganjur hartal atau pihak yang menentang hartal dan mahu timbulkan kekacauan. Baca "Panduan Hartal PUTERA-AMCJA" dalam laman blog 10tahun untuk penerangan lanjut.
Great work!! Finally an honest documentary on the true struggle for independence. Mainstream history in Malaysia has always credited the struggle to UMNO but the real father of independence has been forgotten by history. We should see the facts as it is, UMNO was not the father of independence but merely conspirators to the British Empire

bukan suatu perkara yg sukar untuk menjangka bahawa golongan yg tidak pernah diajar cintakn negara, yg punya banyak wang..akan dgn mudah meninggalkan malaysia..dan bermewah di negara lain...kan?

well..i don't see the irony because in the first place he didn't even know there would be darurat 2 months before he left for england. there is no question of escapism,just a matter of luck.you call it escape when you run away from something dangerous; nobody saw it coming. what more is that the documentary interviewed only some people, there were also many chinese and indian figthers that went into jail during darurat. not just the unfortunate malays.

aku bukan buat perbandingan antara yg melayu dgn bukan melayu. tp perbandingan antara mereka yg berpendidikan british..dgn yg bukan. bagaimana jurang taraf pendidikan membezakan masyarakat malaysia pd masa tu. antara mereka yg digelar "kurang pendidikan"yg dtg dr golongan miskin,yg tidak punya pilihan utk berada di tempat selain malaya..dgn mereka yg terdidik cara penjajah, dtg dr golongan kaya.dpt bezakan tak?

yes i can differentiate that. in fact i agree with you. but the problem starts when you write "lari" instead of "mengelak" which was showed in the film. it changes people's interpretation. wrong meaning and connotation. it made the "english educated" sound more like a traitor. but that's just my opinion. take no offence.Peace.

I can see many parallels between the current regime and the British regime.
The British arrested dissenters under false pretenses, the government does that now.
The British stoked racial tensions to maintain power, the government is doing that now.
The British ignored the voice of the people that refused to work. The government is doing that now by refusing to acknowledge the growing sentiments.
It makes us wonder whether we are truly Mrdeka, or are we still under the BN imperialist regime?

tahniah.menitik air mata aku tengok video ni. pejuang2 yang dilabel berhaluan kiri, malah ada yang dituduh sebagai pemberontak dan pengganas.susah payah perjuangan mereka untuk tuntut kemerdekaan, tapi hanya segelintir yang dapat pengiktirafan. sebarkan video ini agar anak2 bangsa kita dapat lihat realiti sebenar dan kenal pejuang2 kita.kalau nak harap belajar kat sekolah memang tak dapat lee..sampai hati mereka2 yang cuba padamkan sejarah susah payah mereka2 ini semata2 kerana kepentingan diri.

my father is malaysian chinese and i grew up in singapore. its sad how divided the different races are in singapore and how we are so disconnected from malaysia even tho we are so similar...

Ini sudah tercatat didalam sejarah tanah melayu. Cuma ramai tidak ambil endah tidak endah. Buku2 terdapat di perpustakaan khazanah di beberapa negeri. tetapi ini adalah yang berlaku pada 10 tahun sebelum merdeka. Jalan cerita ini sepatutnya memberi gambaran yang lebih besar tetapi isi kandungan ini lebih memihak kepada satu pihak. Cuba fahami maksud dokumentari dan propaganda..
Tahniah kepada yang membikin filem pendek ini. hasil kerja anda amat hebat tetapi tidak menyeluruh.

UMNO pada waktu itu dipimpin oleh golongan pembesar kelas atasan dan mahu kekalkan sistem feudal untuk menjaga kepentingan golongan aristokrasi Melayu. sebab dalam sistem demokrasi, cuba teka siapa 'Raja'?

Soalan yang bagus. Kenyataan "99% perniagaan menyokong hartal" tu dipetik dari laporan hartal dalam akhbar Tamil Nesan, 21 Oktober 1947.
Kalau baca akhbar The Straits Times, ada berita yang melaporkan terdapat ugutan terhadap peniaga untuk tutup kedai pada hari hartal. Siapa yang mengugut tak dapat dikenalpasti. Mungkin penganjur hartal atau pihak yang menentang hartal dan mahu timbulkan kekacauan. Baca "Panduan Hartal PUTERA-AMCJA" dalam laman blog 10tahun untuk penerangan lanjut.

Great work!! Finally an honest documentary on the true struggle for independence. Mainstream history in Malaysia has always credited the struggle to UMNO but the real father of independence has been forgotten by history. We should see the facts as it is, UMNO was not the father of independence but merely conspirators to the British Empire

Fahmi, excellent work!this is kind of truth that we missed out in our history lessons in school. We all thank you for this amazing creative piece. I agree with you..it is not too late for our generation...there can be hope for change..for if we want it bad enough...like our forefathers wanted independence, we have make the hard choices to have the kind of representation in government that our forefathers sacrificed so much for.
