everclear was an awesome sounding band in the middle of the grunge explosion but unfortunately changed their sound to comply with the record companys demands to sell to 12 yaer old female markets, sad really. wana hear everclear at their best? check out twistenside and strawberry, both off sparkle and fade. and if u feel angry and wana vent, crank heroin girl! their follow up album called so much for the afterglow was just that, an afterglow, SPARKLE AND FADE! great album

Gotta love Everclear, and Art is so right when he says you can be the biggest thing one day and be gone the next. Great band! They never got the credit they deserved.

The story is something like this, right: Art said that "You Make Me Feel Like a Whore" was about a suggestion that an A&R guy made about one of his songs. It made him feel like a whore, but he admitted that he was right. It was about adding another chorus at the end, which was a good decision I think. Awesome to hear that earlier version. Thanks a lot!

Wow, I've never heard this early, slightly different version. When was this aired? It sounds like they're using the studio versions of Electra Made Me Blind and Heroin Girl under the interviews, which wasn't released until May 95. Maybe it was already recorded, but at this point, they don't even have the Santa Monica arrangement finalized.

The footage was originally shot for a Tom Petty tribute special. I never saw it, but I don't think they aired this song then. They repackaged the footage into an Everclear profile in early 1996, which is why it has the studio versions in the background.
