  • Thank you, Sensei for providing the slow motion video, very helpful ! Practice is vital and useful but watching it you can perfect the technique too!

  • Domo arigato gozaimashita.

  • Exelent...

  • the instruction is very clear and helpful. i appreciate all of the detail in explaining all aspects of the techniques.

  • Thank you Sensei Yamada. It's a great video!

  • we have alot of other techniques in 5 kuy req :(

  • Hmmm, I would be very careful doing the techniques as shown for a 5th Kyu test. It's fairly normal for the uke used for testing to be around the same level (or slightly above) that of tori. It's quite unlikely that uke would have the high ukemi worked out enough to avoid injury with some of these techniques done as demonstrated here. Irimi nage in particular, can lead to twisting falls that are quite dangerous if tori overestimates uke.

  • @spt28

    Don't be a pussy

  • Hmm, at my dojo, we do kokyunage sitting down, and we don't even do that last technique on the test...

  • great, great and many thanks to show this video!

  • these ar enot the ones with the teachings but only the throws and slo motions.

  • I love it. Witty when he says "pick up my own mistakes for my future improvement"...

  • Thank you so much for this video lesson over-view. I will hopefully be testing for a 5th kyu soon and will be likely to use these videos for refreshment of the art. THANK YOU SO MUCH ONCE AGAIN

  • Sweet. Thanks for posting this. I'm going for my 5th kyu soon and I can't imagine a better study guide than a video of Yamada himself.

  • Sensei Yamada, to me you are the best exponent of the art within the United States...I hope to see in Dallas for Kagami Biraki, as I do every year!!!
