Arthur is hurting and sometimes when we hurt, we also hurt the people we feel closes to. We, the audience, actually know Arthur doesn't mean what he is saying because of what he had told Merlin and also he gave up half a kingdom so he could be with her. Gwen knew Arthur wanted to see her coz Merlin told her but Arthur is unaware of this. His pride is hurt, he's verbally lashing out but he can't stop loving her. At Ealdor it all came to the front and he feels weak because of it, that's all.
I was so worried when I saw this scene with Arthur and Gwen because although I am a arwen fan the last thing I want is for Arthur to constantly throw it in Gwen's face all the time how she hurt him.
