Good solo. I'm no guitarist, but love great rock solos.

There was this Filipino jazz guitarist, a Berklee graduate,

who also plays superb rock guitar solos. His name is

Bob Aves, and he was with his band called Danger Zone,

playing in a disco called the Pyramid, in Kuala Lumpur in 1986.

Damn, I was just looking for a video of the guitar solo in Lionel Ritchie's Running With The Night, I'm amazed to learn it's from Lukather! damn good guitarist!

Anyway, this one isn't pretty hard to play, but you definitely got the very way to play it really nice! hope one day I'll manage to play like that ;-)

A Little Trivia:

Luke is nicknamed "One Take Luke" in the music industry because he can usually whip the guitar solo in one take! On the "Running with the Night" end solo Luke was screwing around jamming in the studio as a little warm up. The producer came up to him and Luke said "Okay I'm ready" The producer said "That's okay we got it that was perfect!" They had recorded him screwing around! That's what was used on the song!

Any wonder why he's my all-time favorite! Amazing!
