Screw off if you don't like how well he did. At least he took the time to try. I doubt anyone is perfect trying to accurately play every note the original artist does since even they change them up often. Good effort Joe!
Good job mate, well done! I'm learning to play the guitar myself and watch your clips for getting the chords etc. I don't know if you're in a band or whatever but if not then you definitely should be, you're very talented. Someone give this bloke a recording deal! Keep posting SSJ!
Excellent !! Friend its nice to know that your open to accept every good advice. kindly write me on penitent_man777@yahoo.com if its ok for you. Would like to keep in touch.
Whoever is playig this bit needs to hear the original clearly once again. The finger picking is wrong after the first sequence. Thank me for telling you the truth. keep playing and do well.
@freedom51100 Thanks mate. I know all my videos are far from perfect but I just love to play and try not to really kill any song. I'm open to any healthy criticism :)
@SixStringJoe dude, you jammed your ass off on this one. we can go into tonalities and soon find ourselves losing track of what matters most when playing... soul. you poured some soul into this one and I think it rocks solid. thanks for the lesson.
I can't believe someone has generated0 9000+ very offbeat views for a very poor variation of something I played at a 1985 talent show with no lesson. Too funny!
hmm not bad in the 'A' part of the solo but you are playing the intro riff wrong mate.listen to it its not too difficult to work out.its a pull off run that goes;e,d,b (2nd string, then;b,a,g (3rd string)then;b,a,g,again, then f sharp,e,d on the 4th string.good luck bud.
van halen 1, thats my favorite, they're still raw and untempered, once 1984 came out, they had been brought a little more into mainstream, not saying that its bad, but jump was almost all synthesiser/keyboard
VH I & 1984 were great (in between, they were okay), but so were 5150, OU812, Carnal Knowledge and Balance, as proven by their sales and chart positions.
Personally, I'm glad Hagar came along and VH grew up, rather than going the way of DLR's solo career.

jumps their worst track!! sammy hagar what a legend

Personally "sales" and "chart position" mean nothing to me, just a bunch of people jumping on a bandwagon that's already rolling.

One of Sammy's best, Sammy was WAY better solo, and VH was WAY better on first 4 lp's with Roth, no questions asked!!!

How do you play the intro? The solo was awesome!
metalmethatiax 5 years ago
The intro is just 'pull offs' on the B string starting at the 5th position. Quite easy to play :) Thanks
