  • Who, I say who in the right mind could ever, I mean ever dislike this?!?!

  • What fun to hear a song about Sudbury, Ontario! I've read about the nickle mines there but this song really helped me experience a place I've not visited. THANKS!!!

    Steve Sedberry of Alabama, USA

  • Love stompin tom,,he actually stop by my cottage (wasent mine at the time ) to play a few tunes for the previous owner, they were good friends and he sighned a piece of wood, its still hangs in the cottage today :).As for the yankey jerk, wow wee have to to brag about you have bush, lololol.

  • If you can't see Canada, but just your own back yard, you are essentially AMERICAN, with eyes and ideas that se 10 iles. This son, from a Calgarian is a unified Canada and working mans so g from coast to unify us all. If you don't work and think "vernacular" is a reason to dislike this song...listen to Beyonce like any red blooded American (not to the writer below but below below)

  • I grew up in Sudbury when this song was written. It's as catchy now as it was back then...lol.

  • @paukva I agree! Great song, something you can dance to! I do tend to change the lyrics somewhat, though. "The girls are gettin' Stinco, and the boys are off to Bingo, We think no more of Inco, On a Sudbury Saturday Night". As a miner's wife, us ladies are a little wilder than our men!!!

  • way to go tom,,

    love that song

  • Awesome singer,,,Tks. for sharing.

  • Yaaaaaaaaahoooooooo!!!! Sing it partner!!!

  • hqahaha that was pretty fuunny lol, thanks

  • GOD BLESS STOMPIN TOM CONNORS!!!

  • who is Santa claus, an old guy bringing joy and fun to kids of all ages . and in Canada he wears a big black cowboy hat !!! thanks Tom ... long live the best ambassador of Canada ever ( sorry gretzkey )

  • what a beauty. the pride of p.e.i.

  • It's saturday night and I am sorta getting pickled lol. Love you Tom!

  • Could someone translate this into American Standard English? Obviously another drunk Canadian trying to be entertaining. What Canadians do best is show up and drink.

  • @Andygarrett357 HA HA HA .... Maybe I can translate it!

Tom wrote this song about the city of Sudbury,

where every Saturday Night- the miners used

to get together in the pub, and drink themselves silly!

The line: "We Think No More of Inco"

is making reference to the "INCO MINE"

where all of the miners work.

    Does that help?

    .

  • @SteveWallsable what do you mean used to?

  • @SteveWallsable :ya tell him bud!!! lol

  • @SteveWallsable Nice try, but why you wasting your time trying explain the words to this ignoramus? He's only here trying to stir the shit with people. That's all he cares about and nothing else. Do you really think he gives a rat's ass about Sudbury? I grew up in Sudbury and know this guy wouldn't last 10 minutes in a bar there with his attitude....lol.

  • @SteveWallsable thank you i was never too sure myself what inco was in reference to

  • @Andygarrett357 not only trying, but doing a fuck of a good job !

  • @Andygarrett357

at least we don't try and laud it over the rest of the world like the Americans, damn showoffs!

  • @Andygarrett357: typical of one of you donw in the boondocks. We have fun here in Sudbury, Ontario and all over Canada!!! BTW...we're located in North America...Bet you didn't know this...

  • @Osayannx Nickel City is about 150 Km north of Parry Sound. Known where it is for decades. Too bad you are a loser and didn't bet a few hundred Loonies w/ me.

  • @Osayannx I grew up in Sudbury. Don't listen to this guy. He's just one of these jokers who likes to piss people off on youtube cause it's a form of entertainment for him. Quite pathetic actually hiding behind a keyboard. Like to see him say this shit to a guy's face in a typical Sudbury bar and see what happens...lol.

  • @Andygarrett357 Oh yeah, like the standard American English you hear in the southern states, y'all?? Give me a break.

  • my dad would love this

he played music for 25 years before he pasted.

  • he rocks!! saw in Montreal last night and he played this song as the last one of the night :)

  • Isn't it curious that Stompin' Tom's heyday was concurrent with the first successes of Rush- both Canadian phenoms?

  • awesome awesome, wish Stompin Tom was over here in the land of Oz...great time,.great music and awesome singer.

  • You're one hell of a singer!

  • stompin tom is my uncle i guess my uncles uncle but i just love him remember him at my grandmothers singing!!

  • @northlanderdude I don't remember the name of the bar. It was the first bar on the right of the greyhound station, we had to walk about 10min to get there...

  • @sooner70 hmm, the only bar with a 10 minute walking distance is near King Street, The Park Hotel - now shut down by the city and the National, still far from the bus station though !
