I SHOWED where USAID goes in Egypt in my first video "On Ron Paul and USAID" and I just finished making another video showing how well and good our puppet government tactics of intervention are working in Egypt.. please go SEE i dont ask people to agree.. just SEE what your fellow American is living over seas..
please bare with my boring style -for now- but do it for America..
When you have 3 evils (Obama, Mitt n Gingrich) how can you choose good? Do we decide which of the three is the least likely to cause harm (to the country)? Why are we continuallygiven POOR choices for our country? Because the machine(washington) doesn't want change..
I say: raise the retirement age (it's going to be done in few years to come, so do it already by educating the public). EVERYONE pays for it (as normal), except rich should not get SS because THEY'RE FUCKING RICH!
The people who are on SS right now have already paid for it in full. That's the whole point of SS, you pay taxes when you work, then the government pays that money back when you retire....unless, you know, the government decided to spend that money on something else. Like a series of pointless wars, for example.
IT'S OFFICIAL: ANONYMOUS HAS JUST EXPOSED RON PAUL AS AN UNDERCOVER WHITE SUPREMICIST !! THEY HAVE HIS PHONE RECORDS THE WHITE SUPREMICIST GROUP THAT IS BACKING HIM ETC
Democrats seriously are criminals in my opinion. THEY TAKE MONEY FROM THE MIDDLE CLASS, and they give it to the poor! This is understandable if they poor work, and if the money given to the poor is LESS than what the poor produce in tern for society, but they fund people for NOT WORKING! And then people complain about there being no jobs? BULLSHIT. There are THOUSANDS of minimum wage paying jobs which ANYONE can get easily, for example, a cashier, a life-guard etc... THERE ARE jobs.
Just put me in a closed room with these two idiots... a minute will do :-) *Oh... i was thinking about quoting verses from the bible to them. *winks...
Voting for the president is a ploy to make you think you have control. The elites decide who you can decide before they allow you to decide. And who do they choose? Only the ones who aren't a threat to them. Only those who do as they say, like puppets.
@AthosAmo Ahh, you've been watching George Carlin have you? That comment echoed what Carlin said about elections in this country, which pretty much give people the illusion that they have a choice. Look it up if you haven't seen it.
@scooby1971 George Carlin has made me laugh before, but he only echoed what I learned before finding out about him. And I prove atheism is wrong in one of my slideshows.
My advice to Republican Americans: Romney, Gingrich, Santorum and Ron Paul are all unelectable. The most electable is Ron Paul, although he will still lose to Obama. But at least nominating Ron Paul would save your party from an embarrassingly bad defeat in November.
Goodbye Republicans. You stand no chance of the presidency no matter who you nominate.
I'm never going to get ANYTHING out of social security. I'm going to pay 15% per year to let someone else retire at an age suggested by Bismarck in the 1880s? What a joke! Let me out of this mess!
@gamegeek2 I am I correct in assuming this scheme will pay disability benefits if you fuck your back at work tomorrow?? Then you are getting something out of it.
Sure you can pull out, but then what... invest in a private company that will invest in treasury bonds anyway only this time with a commission.
There are no easy solutions and disbanding it creates massive problems.
When you have to print money to pay for benefits of special groups, you devalue your currency which takes money purchasing power away from seniors and anybody else with savings or a fixed income. Or you could borrow it, which would shift that burden to future generations who have to pay the interest. Or you could raise taxes, which takes money out of the pocket of working people. And the main reason politicians want to give out these benefits is to win votes. Who's got the moral high ground?
@hallavast what about increasing the taxes of people who earn more than 1 million to 90% :D would that take money out of the economy or will it just collapse luxury businesses.... country clubs etc.
@umdkaskar 90% is kind of dramatic. Those people would either find a new tax loophole or leave, I think. I know I, personally wouldn't do business here if I was a millionaire and the government wanted to take 90% of what I made. This ignores the moral question of taxation outright. Plus, if they make their money through capital gains, they'll likely just pass on the expense to the consumer and drive up prices on... everything. That also hurts retirees.
@hallavast If you had a balanced tax and spend policy, this country would be in a far better position. Just look at the Clinton administration, which had a much higher tax rate than Bush and look what happened under each administration. Look at the Eisenhower administration, which had some of the highest tax rates in the history of this country and it was then that the middle class started to rise. Government used the tax revenues to build infrastructure, which provided plenty of jobs.
The last person I want to win is Gingrich because all he wants to do is privatize social security. Yeah, give all of our retirement money over to the idiots who gambled and wrecked our economy in the first place. So much for retirement with his plan...
@scooby1971 No, he is saying WORK for your retirement. How is it fair that OTHERS should have to fund YOUR retirement? Or YOUR anything for that matter? GET A JOB, and fund your own retirement, it is not my nor anyone elses responsibility to make sure that you retire on the money taken from me through taxes.
@yourvidisbad101 No, He *SPECIFICALLY* mentioned privatizing social security. And if you must know, if that happens look at this last economic crash as a warning. Many retirees lost almost their entire life savings and had to go back to work to make ends meet and the soon to be retirees had to keep working because their retirement funds were decimated. Their retirement funds *STILL* have not returned to their original value. Ask them if they want to privatize social security.
@scooby1971 No. Had they saved their life savings themselves rather than relying on others to do so, then they would lose nothing if social security was abolished.
@yourvidisbad101 Did you even read what I said? He *SPECIFICALLY* said take the money the government takes for SS and allowing banks and investment firms to manage it. You *STILL* have someone taking *YOUR* money for *YOUR* retirement. Social Security isn't going anywhere whether you believe it or not.
@yourvidisbad101 And another thing, I'm OK with SS the way it is now. I've paid over $50,000 into SS, which means through companies I've worked for, my contribution is over $100,000 to SS. I know when I retire, I'll see some of that money coming back to me, if I live that long. The only thing I need to worry about is the greedy politicians like Gingrich getting their hands on *OUR* money. And for the record I also have an IRA and savings so I'm not completely relying on SS for retirement.
@scooby1971 Look, if you have contributed $100,000 to SS, then you should only be entitled to $100,000. As such, there is no reason to invest in SS, just save and be smart with the money you earn, and don't leech off of others.
@yourvidisbad101 How the hell is me contributing *MY* money to social security leeching off of others? It's *MY* money and I am *ENTITLED* to it back when I retire. The government takes it for the express purpose of paying you back in your retirement. And obviously you didn't read my other part in that I do have my own savings plan. I have an IRA and I have savings.
@yourvidisbad101 And one more point, Currently, in my career I've had contributions to the SS system of over $100,000 on my behalf. I still have about 30 more years before I can retire. By then, I would have contributed well over $250,000 to SS and I am entitled to some or all of that back. And I'm sure my IRA will be about as much or far more than that by the time I retire. So don't go jumping to conclusions and accusing people of leeching off of others.
@scooby1971 Look, here is what i'm asking you, and try to follow my logic. IF you are paying X amount to SS regardless, WHY is that money even collected? If you get the same amount back as you put in, then what is the point of SS? If you get more back than what you put in, that is detrimental to the economy.
@yourvidisbad101 I *HAVE* followed your logic and I'm responding to what you're saying. People who work in this country pay into SS. It is a PUBLIC social retirement fund/safety net. I don't mind paying it, knowing I'm getting some of my contributions back. And like I said, many people don't get what they paid in and some get more than they paid in. Currently SS has a $2 trillion surplus and if not another dime is contributed today, will still be able to pay full benefits until after 2020.
@scooby1971 So then we should stop funding SS altogether and encourage people to create their own private savings rather than communal ones where some receive more than others.
@yourvidisbad101 So, based on reading what you say, you have *ZERO* understanding of what it was like in this country without SS. Most people barely earned enough to make it from paycheck to paycheck. People worked their entire lives, pretty much up until they dropped dead. SS allows people the chance to rest and enjoy their golden years. You want to live in a country like that, nobody's making you stay here. I'm OK with SS paying people back for the years of service to this country.
@scooby1971 Ah, and likely you would be on the receiving end of this bargain. But how about those who have to FUND people to be unemployed? People don't work, and they still receive welfare payments via taxes from other people's incomes, and it is the same concept (people work, but are still funded with other peoples incomes) via social security. That, my friend, is not capitalism, it is SOCIALISM. So if you enjoy SS so much, perhaps Venezuela, France, or China is a more suitable place for you.
@yourvidisbad101 You don't know anything about me. I pride myself in what I do for a living and am proud to say I take care of myself. And what the hell is wrong with socialism? I don't care as long as it's balanced. I don't like taking care of lazy do nothings who don't want to work, but for those who are in a situation to where they are unable to take care of themselves, I don't mind the contribution to them. For those who are able bodied and can work, they *SHOULD* try to find work.
@ooMONKEYoo Although the names may be different, the intentions are the same. You are paying someone more than they are producing for society (90% of the time) at the expense of those who do produce for society. You clearly are uneducated.
@yourvidisbad101 No. You're incorrect once again. When you get unemployment, it means you've BEEN employed and got laid off. You only get a small PORTION of what you're old job used to pay you for a fraction of the time you have been employed by said company.
If you have been working at the same place for a very long time, sometimes the corporations have to pay a small amount of your unemployment, too.
@scooby1971 You shouldn't have to decide which criminal is in charge of your future. Either the government who condones the thieves or the thieves them self. People are smart enough that they should be able to save for themselves.
omg I hope ROmney doesn't win im sorry i rather give Obama another 4 years then let these fucken assholes in! shit lets hope in four years HIlary gets bored and throws her hat back in the ring!!! we need help people and lots of it!!!
This is just so fucking pathetic. The battle between Gingrich and Romney is about who is less disingenuous and corrupt than the other. Yet conservatives continue to embrace both of them. It is disgusting that Ron Paul gets the tiny numbers that he does in these primaries.
@13lackLight Ron Paul chooses to be a part of the pathetic and disgusting republican party that has turned their backs on him throughout his entire career, he should of changed parties and stuck with it long ago if he wanted to be taken seriously.
@TheUSMetalhead He already did in 1988, but both parties have rigged the game so that it is virtually impossible to campaign 3rd party. He spent half of his money just getting on the ballot. This is by far the more efficient way to get the message out, and his growth in support base over the last 4 years is proof of that.
@nkelly1432 He thinks they are unconstitutional, but he also says they are lower on his lists of priorities. With demographics shaping up the way they are, and the rising costs of healthcare, they will need to be cut, but he will not get rid of them. Understand that if they are not slowly cut now (along with a lot of other spending) there is a higher risk that they will not exist at all in the future.
@13lackLight While I may disagree with some of Paul's views, he gets so little attention because of the few progressive ideals he holds. Dismantling the defense department, ending the war on drugs; these are solutions that republicans will never see as viable. They live in fantasy.
@13lackLight Its quite the shame that Ron Paul isn't getting the deserved attention instead of these two scum. Looks like I won't be voting in November for anyone.
I guess the only way opt out of SS is to raise the retirement age. Because who's gonna live working till 100? You''ll be lucky to collect when you retire. Some people die of various circumstances right up to the time they retire. So much for their 401k.
I find it somewhat ironic that conservatives love to rave on about the sanctity of contracts, unless, of course, those contracts are with working people.
Just cannot understand why older people think the GOP is on their side when every single one of their legislative plans shows nothing of the sort. Shaking my head a hundred times
We need social security reform because of idiots like Newt who stole money from the social security trust fund for thier own political gain. Now it is bankrupt.
The Republican Party is the party of capitalist and exploiters. The Democratic Party is also the party of capitalists and right-wing people. There is nothing left-wing about the Democrats. Obama showed us how much he supports the big capitalists and their greed.
@UDSS "There is nothing left-wing about the Democrats."
compared with how far to the right the republicans are leaning these days (they're practically horizontal) the democrats couldn't look more left wing. i would say however that there effectively is no left in american politics, because everyone is between extreme right and the centre.
the dems are greedy cunts, but the reps are blantant sadistic arseholes out to fuck everyone within an inch of their lives and steal their money.
@BorgKing001 that shows just how much you know about liberals and just how much you listen to the right wing propaganda machine.
liberals are interested in what benefits society/humanity as a whole, whereas conservatives are interested only in what benefits themselves and their immediate families and fuck everybody else.
@Rabsputin I don't doubt that liberals WANT to benefit society/humanity but look at the liberal european nations and Greece, they aren't faring to well because of their liberal policies
@BorgKing001 it wasn't liberal policies for the benefit of society which screwed the likes of greece, it was the economic meltdown of 2008 caused by greedy bankers who toppled a system that's inherently broken, but trying to point this out to people usually results in some bullshit reflex accusation of being a communist, you'd think these people thought bankers and capitalists being cunts to the rest of humanity was a good thing.
@Rabsputin Well it kinda was. Liberals polices enabled banks to give loans to high risk clients they weren't responsible for, they took advantage of this and people accepted loans they couldn't possibly afford so they could live big. There is plenty of blame to go around. Well-intentioned liberal polices, greed, and materialism
Obama is on the right track when it comes to SSI (Social Security Insurance). What he has proporsed for more than 2 yrs now is Energy independance. Our foriegn oil addiction is the source of our economic woes. Obama wants to convert over to electric cars, trucks and rails but the GOP stands in his way constantly. The BILLIONS we would save by not buying oil from terrorist countries would go to sevices like SSI.
@thenewmike2012 "The BILLIONS we would save by not buying oil from terrorist countries would go to sevices like SSI."
terrorist countries? you do realise that the whole terrorism thing was invented purely as an excuse to invade oil rich countries by painting the people living there as such, don't you? this is how the governments pull the wool over people's eyes, they invent a boogie man and claim he's a threat to national security as an excuse to remove your rights and fight wars for profit.
@thenewmike2012 are you fucking joking? i wouldn't piss on ron paul if he was on fire.
and it's common knowledge that the cia had full prior knowledge of 9/11, meaning they were in on it, it's just people like you are too fucking ignorant and "patriotic" to accept the facts.
also, just so you're aware, bowing before your government when they say that disagreeing with them doesn't make you a patriot, it makes you a fucking chickenshit slave.
@Rabsputin The way you present yourself in your comments makes you sound like a vulgar, low class, uneducated person. Please find someone else in the MILLIONS of YouTube users, to send your comments to that will tolerate you. I make it a habit not to converse with people that are not on my level of intelligence. Thank You & Goodbye.
@Rabsputin Those who serve in the military I would say are patriotic beyond a shadow of a doubt. But it is saying something when the military supports Ron Paul through donations by at least double the amount of all other candidates combined. The military fights to defend us and the constitution.
@Imdroppingdimes sadly, the military for the large part has to do what it's told and a considerable number of men and women serving in the military are just as fucked up in the head as most right wingers, some even more so.
@Rabsputin Ron Paul seeks to strengthen our country and our military by bringing them home. The fact that we close bases on our own soil and open up shop in over 100 nations is spreading our forces thin, weakening our borders, and bankrupting us. The fact that defense contracts spending overseas had an budget increase while our military forces suffered a pay decrease last year is an absolute abomination. Our policy has put us in yet another Vietnam with no end in sight.
@Imdroppingdimes even with all of that, ron paul is still a dangerous fucking nutter. he denies the most robust theory in all of science and yet people still take them seriously because he talks about believing in fairies.
@Rabsputin I agree somewhat. But I feel you should elaborate.
People need to find out what their own beliefs are and not just adopt someone else's. Those who believe in someone else's ideologies blindly, with or without merit, should not vote.
Those people I consider dangerous.
But even with those who consistently label the man as crazy, he has a penchant for being right far too often.
Meanwhile, Newt consults for Fannie, Mitt pays only 13% in taxes, and Rick hates the Constitution.
But he has not shown near enough backbone to be effective. After looking at Obama's record (being he had not really served a full term in the Senate) I should have seen I did not have consistency to base my vote on.
At least with Ron Paul I could look a man who has shown minimal wavering and strong consistency for decades. At he has been right when it counts. At least as President, he would have a platform where he could be ignored no longer.
@Rabsputin I don't see him getting in the easy way. The reason for that is people do not seek the truth. A vote for Santorum, Romney, or Gingrich is to propel our nation into further debt, greater unemployment, and greater poverty--if not World War III. They champion not taxing the rich, while Romney only pays 13% in taxes and jobs aren't being created, and over 1/6 of the nation is approaching the poverty level. Obama has become a puppet, might eventually lead us there.
@Rabsputin The Republican candidates with the exception of Ron Paul would have signed in NDAA, and would have stood by the Patriot Act, if not sought to strengthen it. Obama has bent over backwards to give in 100% to the Boehner, Cantor, and McConnell. It is only a matter of time before Obama repeals his own healthcare mandate to give in to further demands.
Paul is the only candidate left who stands FIRMLY for our freedoms.
@Imdroppingdimes "Paul is the only candidate left who stands FIRMLY for our freedoms."
i disagree. he stands for the freedoms of white, christian men. you only need to look at the things he's said to see this. i don't trust him as far as i could throw rush limbaugh.
@Rabsputin Politicians are all cunts, Paul at least has it right on policy, any personal prejudices he has are, I'm sure, far less robust than previous presidents. Look at the bigger picture
@Imdroppingdimes "Paul is the only candidate left who stands FIRMLY for our freedoms."
i disagree. he stands for the freedoms of white, christian men. you only need to look at the things he's said to see this. i don't trust him as far as i could throw rush limbaugh.
@Imdroppingdimes "People need to find out what their own beliefs are and not just adopt someone else's. Those who believe in someone else's ideologies blindly, with or without merit, should not vote.

this i completely agree with. but still, ron paul has shown himself to be an openly racist, sexist, fairy worshipper. while his economic ideas are progressive those 3 traits in the same candidate frighten the shit out of me.
@thenewmike2012 If anything what makes it an inside job is the fear that the far right is portraying in the mainstream media. Why? We went into Iraq to find weapons of mass destruction. None were found. We went into Afghanistan for Bin Laden. We found him. Yet we haven't called it a victory and withdrawn. We aren't nation-building. We are attempting to stake claim to their resources.
@thenewmike2012 The far right stokes the flames of irrational fear in citizens who do not search for answers. Insurgents will always exist, because while many of them were isolated in their country and had never heard of 9/11, while we kill insurgents, we kill 10 times more innocent people. Now inhabitants of the Middle East want what is only natural--VENGEANCE.
There is NO VICTORY in war. We lost just under 3000 people on 9/11. Since then we've lost nearly 7000 in the Middle East.
@Imdroppingdimes I can agree with alot of what you said here. I would raise two opposing points however. 1) al-Qaeda certainly is not some anonymous group of thugs. 2) EVERYONE in the middle east heard of 9/11 when it happened, it was all over the news on a Global scale. al-Qaeda is responsible not only for 9/11, but countless other attacks around the globe. Personally, I think the US should NOT try to convert Theocratic countries to Democratic ones. It just wont work.
@thenewmike2012 I tend to stay away from words like NEVER, EVERYONE, EVERYTIME, etc.
They represent a stance of all or nothing. It is like saying everyone our government is evil. Because if that were the case, none of us would be having this conversation. That's why SOME people actually believed up until two years ago that Saddam Hussein was actually involved in 9/11.
@Imdroppingdimes The words your tend to stay away from are completely up to you. I noticed that youre engaged in another conversation on this page, Im going to get back to work and let you get back to your dialogue. Take Care, friend.
@Rabsputin not exactly, i believe in some of the islamic countries there are some big groups that would want to harm USA citizens but your right the government has blown it out of proportion.
@umdkaskar why do you think the people in islamic countries want to hurt americans? i'll tell you: israel.
israel has been bullying the middle east with the american army as muscle behind them for decades. the american backed zionists are to blame for the people of the middle east having a problem with america, never mind the fact that america has regularly bombed the shit out of the place for the past 20+ years and killed tens of thousands of civilians.
The baby boomers is the spoiled brat society. The worst society American has ever seen. Me, mine and no more. They cursed this nation in the last 30 years by first ushering in serial liar Reagan paving the way toward a nation ruled by Coporations. The baby boomers robbed the future of any power, money or resources. The spoiled brat society had it good because of FDR and in return they gave us Goebbles aka Fox Fraud News and the clowns aka Reagan to the present.
Obama’s corruption has caused damage beyond repair to all young Americans; he has stolen trillions of dollars. His free run of his army of illegals, Muslim and Mexican, has caused thousands of murders and rapes, robberies and home invasions. We can only guess at how many thousands of terrorist have come across the Mexican border. Which Iran calls “Allah’s Highway”. Obama actions have given him the title as “A Weapon of Mass Destruction”. Sleep well America.
"We can only guess at how many thousands of terrorist have come across the Mexican border."
Here's my guess: None.
I picture you alone in your basement. Your mother calls out to you but you're too busy to have a bath right now. You've got more racist conspiracy bullshit to type into youtube.
@98bigbutt This is an odd presidential race. I think a lot of Americans simply won't vote at all. Many people have pretty much given up on our political system. There are no honest politicians out there who would actually change the system.
Raise the retirement age and cut back benefits to current seniors. Otherwise, Social Security is a Ponzi scheme that will unwind in 40 years like Madoff's did 4 years ago.
Why is Gingrich and Romney still talked about? They're so ridiculous that i thought America would stop giving them credibility 2 seconds after they opened their mouths. One of them is gonna go up against Obama and Obama will win again. It's all part of the plan Stan!
So we have two politicians who are trying to hide their positions on a very important issue, because their position is essentially to destroy the middle and lower classes while benefitting the rich. So they've agreed not to discuss it in public. Good thing we have a great, investigative media that will keep them honest and MAKE them talk about Social Security in public, right? No? Oh, well, fuck. I thought we had a democracy for a second, but you need a free and independent press for that.
some intelligent american needs to borrow the bad news sniper rifle off of fpsrussia and take out 'mitt' and 'newt'....god they fail even on having a non-fucked up name
The board of trustees says that SS is only okay through 2037...that's actually not that long.
After 2037, SS will only be able to pay out 70% of benefits or less.
...So what is your alternative Cenk?..I like SS and want to keep it around to be sure, but we need a solution of some kind...and that may entail not allowing people to retire at 62!
@Joseph565112 Maybe bail it out. I mean i'll throw a fit when it some giant company that turns around and screws up and still lays off people once they are bailed out. But this helps Millions of people so I doubt anyone would have that big of a problem with it.
Mitt and Newt are so out of touch from the struggles of the average american how on earth would they be capable of solving problems or truly caring to solve them. Screw them
@blainealexander Yes it is. Writing yourself a check for a million dollars while not having the actual money doesn't turn you into a millionaire.
Only Keynesian idiots don't understand that a government bond instead of actual cash as an obligation to SS fund is simultaneously an asset AND a liability, which means it's nothing.
Most radio stations & Television stations are in control of either Republican's or Democrats using they're business connections to run stories that are full of lies & propaganda.
Have people in America not yet learned it after privatizing banks, The Federal reserve, Water industry & Oil industry & I could go ON and ON.
How's your poisoned water? Taste's good doesn't it?
Listen to Romney's post Florida primary speach; If elected he intends to veto any defense spending cuts and in fact increase defence spending to make the US "The most powerful country in the world" (WTF is it now?). The money will have to come from somewhere...
Newt, Mitt, ron, or rick- they all are a disturbing mix of weird and/or hypocritical... Some more weighted to weird than hypocritical and others more hypocritical than weird but the sum is in each case very scary. Safest course is IMO to hope for the least electable and then hope (and work) he doesnt pull an upset.
I do remember a mention of social security in the most recent debate. I think Paul said something about not taking money out of social security and Gingrich agreed with him on that but yeah other than that it was pretty much ignored.
You know, at this point I say screw social security. I pay into every 2 weeks out of my paycheck and it sure in the hell isn't gonna be there when I need it.
WHY DONT I TAKE A SHIT, GIVE IT A 10,000,000 $ BANK ACCOUNT AND MAKE IT CORRUPT AND WE CAN VOTE FOR IT TO RUN THIS COUNTRY ,,IT WOULD HONESTLY BE BETTER THAN OUR FUCKING PATHETIC OPTIONS!!!!!
"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There i

You stand no chance of the presidency no matter who you nominate.

gamegeek2 4 weeks ago
@gamegeek2 I am I correct in assuming this scheme will pay disability benefits if you fuck your back at work tomorrow?? Then you are getting something out of it.
Sure you can pull out, but then what... invest in a private company that will invest in treasury bonds anyway only this time with a commission.
There are no easy solutions and disbanding it creates massive problems.
CmdrTobs 4 weeks ago
When you have to print money to pay for benefits of special groups, you devalue your currency which takes money purchasing power away from seniors and anybody else with savings or a fixed income. Or you could borrow it, which would shift that burden to future generations who have to pay the interest. Or you could raise taxes, which takes money out of the pocket of working people. And the main reason politicians want to give out these benefits is to win votes. Who's got the moral high ground?
hallavast 4 weeks ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@hallavast what about increasing the taxes of people who earn more than 1 million to 90% :D would that take money out of the economy or will it just collapse luxury businesses.... country clubs etc.
umdkaskar 4 weeks ago
@umdkaskar 90% is kind of dramatic. Those people would either find a new tax loophole or leave, I think. I know I, personally wouldn't do business here if I was a millionaire and the government wanted to take 90% of what I made. This ignores the moral question of taxation outright. Plus, if they make their money through capital gains, they'll likely just pass on the expense to the consumer and drive up prices on... everything. That also hurts retirees.
hallavast 4 weeks ago

So much for retirement with his plan...
scooby1971 4 weeks ago in playlist Uploaded videos 31
@scooby1971 No, he is saying WORK for your retirement. How is it fair that OTHERS should have to fund YOUR retirement? Or YOUR anything for that matter? GET A JOB, and fund your own retirement, it is not my nor anyone elses responsibility to make sure that you retire on the money taken from me through taxes.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 No, He *SPECIFICALLY* mentioned privatizing social security. And if you must know, if that happens look at this last economic crash as a warning. Many retirees lost almost their entire life savings and had to go back to work to make ends meet and the soon to be retirees had to keep working because their retirement funds were decimated. Their retirement funds *STILL* have not returned to their original value. Ask them if they want to privatize social security.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@scooby1971 No. Had they saved their life savings themselves rather than relying on others to do so, then they would lose nothing if social security was abolished.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 Did you even read what I said? He *SPECIFICALLY* said take the money the government takes for SS and allowing banks and investment firms to manage it. You *STILL* have someone taking *YOUR* money for *YOUR* retirement. Social Security isn't going anywhere whether you believe it or not.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 And another thing, I'm OK with SS the way it is now. I've paid over $50,000 into SS, which means through companies I've worked for, my contribution is over $100,000 to SS. I know when I retire, I'll see some of that money coming back to me, if I live that long. The only thing I need to worry about is the greedy politicians like Gingrich getting their hands on *OUR* money. And for the record I also have an IRA and savings so I'm not completely relying on SS for retirement.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@scooby1971 Look, if you have contributed $100,000 to SS, then you should only be entitled to $100,000. As such, there is no reason to invest in SS, just save and be smart with the money you earn, and don't leech off of others.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 I'm inclined to agree. Why pay SS tax anyway? Just so the govt. can spend and get interest off our income for years and years.
We all should be wise enough to put away some money for retirement. I don't need to give the govt. anymore of my money
k0d14k1 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 How the hell is me contributing *MY* money to social security leeching off of others? It's *MY* money and I am *ENTITLED* to it back when I retire. The government takes it for the express purpose of paying you back in your retirement. And obviously you didn't read my other part in that I do have my own savings plan. I have an IRA and I have savings.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 And one more point, Currently, in my career I've had contributions to the SS system of over $100,000 on my behalf. I still have about 30 more years before I can retire. By then, I would have contributed well over $250,000 to SS and I am entitled to some or all of that back. And I'm sure my IRA will be about as much or far more than that by the time I retire. So don't go jumping to conclusions and accusing people of leeching off of others.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@scooby1971 Look, here is what i'm asking you, and try to follow my logic. IF you are paying X amount to SS regardless, WHY is that money even collected? If you get the same amount back as you put in, then what is the point of SS? If you get more back than what you put in, that is detrimental to the economy.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 I *HAVE* followed your logic and I'm responding to what you're saying. People who work in this country pay into SS. It is a PUBLIC social retirement fund/safety net. I don't mind paying it, knowing I'm getting some of my contributions back. And like I said, many people don't get what they paid in and some get more than they paid in. Currently SS has a $2 trillion surplus and if not another dime is contributed today, will still be able to pay full benefits until after 2020.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@scooby1971 So then we should stop funding SS altogether and encourage people to create their own private savings rather than communal ones where some receive more than others.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 So, based on reading what you say, you have *ZERO* understanding of what it was like in this country without SS. Most people barely earned enough to make it from paycheck to paycheck. People worked their entire lives, pretty much up until they dropped dead. SS allows people the chance to rest and enjoy their golden years. You want to live in a country like that, nobody's making you stay here. I'm OK with SS paying people back for the years of service to this country.
scooby1971 4 weeks ago
@scooby1971 Ah, and likely you would be on the receiving end of this bargain. But how about those who have to FUND people to be unemployed? People don't work, and they still receive welfare payments via taxes from other people's incomes, and it is the same concept (people work, but are still funded with other peoples incomes) via social security. That, my friend, is not capitalism, it is SOCIALISM. So if you enjoy SS so much, perhaps Venezuela, France, or China is a more suitable place for you.
yourvidisbad101 4 weeks ago
@yourvidisbad101 You don't know anything about me. I pride myself in what I do for a living and am proud to say I take care of myself. And what the hell is wrong with socialism? I don't care as long as it's balanced. I don't like taking care of lazy do nothings who don't want to work, but for those who are in a situation to where they are unable to take care of themselves, I don't mind the contribution to them. For those who are able bodied and can work, they *SHOULD* try to find work.

People need to find out what their own beliefs are and not just adopt someone else's. Those who believe in someone else's ideologies blindly, with or without merit, should not vote.

But even with those who consistently label the man as crazy, he has a penchant for being right far too often.

Imdroppingdimes 1 month ago
@thenewmike2012 The far right stokes the flames of irrational fear in citizens who do not search for answers. Insurgents will always exist, because while many of them were isolated in their country and had never heard of 9/11, while we kill insurgents, we kill 10 times more innocent people. Now inhabitants of the Middle East want what is only natural--VENGEANCE.
There is NO VICTORY in war. We lost just under 3000 people on 9/11. Since then we've lost nearly 7000 in the Middle East.

@Imdroppingdimes I can agree with alot of what you said here. Personally, I think the US should NOT try to convert Theocratic countries to Democratic ones. It just wont work.

Joseph565112 1 month ago
@Joseph565112 or we could slightly raise the taxes to make up for the deficit.
millitantatheist1 1 month ago
@Joseph565112 Maybe bail it out. I mean i'll throw a fit when it some giant company that turns around and screws up and still lays off people once they are bailed out. But this helps Millions of people so I doubt anyone would have that big of a problem with it.

Mitt and Newt are so out of touch from the struggles of the average american how on earth would they be capable of solving problems or truly caring to solve them. Screw them

No, but their both perfect examples of the public sector nursing something until it can be privatized.

SS is bankrupt, it's been that way since about the Kennedy's time, and young people really want out of SS and that's why they vote Ron Paul 2012.
romanmir01 1 month ago in playlist Uploaded videos
@romanmir01 it's not.... but it is going to be.
blainealexander 1 month ago
@blainealexander Yes it is. Writing yourself a check for a million dollars while not having the actual money doesn't turn you into a millionaire.
Only Keynesian idiots don't understand that a government bond instead of actual cash as an obligation to SS fund is simultaneously an asset AND a liability, which means it's nothing.

Privatizing has ALWAYS destroyed things.
Clanki 1 month ago
@Clanki so television and radio have both been destroyed?
androidk18 1 month ago
@androidk18 That is such a CHILDISH question.
And the answer is ironicly YES!
