  • and we need an English editor to tell us our history..............?

  • They don't need the people's permission. The British have no Constitution.

  • @MUFC127 i never said they needed permission. you cannot pass laws if u dont have support of the public.

  • collins got the british out of 26 counties. gerry adams has got the british out of 0 counties.there is comparisment between collins and adams. no disrespect to adams

  • collins won ,but abandoned his people in the north, he then accepted military aid from the british to put down dissent to the treaty in Ireland , collins was really interested in power and money .

  • @longgoodbyeIreland i dont see how collins abandoned the people in the north. he was arming the ira in the north. collins was certainly not interested in money every penny he had he bought guns for the ira. no matter who had gone over to london they were not coming coming back with a 32 county republic. in fairness you cant just force unionsts to live in a united ireland.

  • @92eire but you can force irish people into the union , isn't that what its really been all about , for all these centuries .

    Force !

  • @longgoodbyeIreland thats true. but irish people were massacred by the british army and the unionists in the north were always protected by the british army. now a days or even back in the 1920s you could not go around killing thousands of people.

  • british men talking about the Irish some things never change, they will never understand, the misty past, get the boat, David Irivne a pity he didnt think that before

  • british men talking about the Irish some things never change, they will never understand, the misty past, get the boat,

  • british men talking about the Irish some things never change they will never understand

  • Garry Adams abandoned the cause and is a sellout loyalist pig, he should move in with Margret Thatcher if you ask me

  • @ellohello0 The man has worked for British Intelligence for at least 25 years, if he wasn't he would've been shot long ago.

  • @MUFC127

He was shot by loyalist terrorists , but survived . and has been elected to the Irish parliament with 15.000 votes , one of the highest votes in the country .

  • @longgoodbyeIreland yes and a gentleman......

  • @MUFC127 if adams was a british agent he would not of caused so much trouble in the north.

  • @92eire No it was the excuse they needed to expand there power over the public with their anti-terror laws.

  • @MUFC127 they did not have the support of the people to expand there laws

  • Sectional leader??? He fought his corner with what he had, as the south ahd abandoned us, he carried and still does, the vast wishes of the Republican community here!

  • @MMAC0RE I'm a political activist interested in protecting Irish society, 32 county wide and yes I have made some contribution of time and interest to uniting Ireland . Collins copper fastened the 6 counties fate for the past 90 years when he signed it away. He contributed by implementing partition.

  • @STITTY07 Collins did the best with what he had, there was no way the treaty negotiations were going to produce a United Ireland. It was either take the deal they had negotiated or face an ''immediate and terrible war'', which one was the better option? Collins gave Ireland their first taste of independence in 800 years and he should be given credit for that. I don't understand the Irish up north still critisizing Collins and people in the 26 criticizing Adams, two of the greatest Irish patriots

  • @seery899 he fact is seery, he got a limited independence for us down south while sold our people up to North to the treachery and murder of the last 90 years by the Brits, that was a terrible war so yeah it wasn't the better option

  • @STITTY07 I think he was right for taking the offer of some independence, if he had said no to the offer the Brits would have sent the whole army over and there would have been a slaughter of the Irish people and we would have had no independence anywhere on the island. He had to take what was on offer, what were the other real options? Stay under British occupation? If Collins had have lived longer I believe he would have done more for Irish unity than De Valera and the rest of them

  • @STITTY07 I think that the lack of help by the Irish government at the start of the troubles was shameful, Lynch should have done more to help the nationalists but sat back and did nothing, that was the stage to send the army over the border because the Americans would have stepped in and sorted the Brits out sooner.....

  • 4:00 OMG, what area is that? Does it still look like that? Sad.

  • MIchael Collins: dead, martyr, mythology, legend

    Adams: still alive

    no contest

  • Didn't Mic also scare the hell out of everyone?

  • I wouldn't want to insult Michael Collins' memory by comparing him with someone like Gerry Adams :P

  • @Shaftsus they are both traitors

  • @dathi67 what a goon, please explain!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, i had a good laugh at that, Collins was a traitor, Adams brought the 6 counties a long way

  • @STITTY07 how was collins a traitor as i remember collins signed the agreement to get 26 countys and id like to know when was fighting for your freedom being a traitor

  • @mccabedylan

Yes, 26 counties not 32, he left 6 counties to endure what they have since partition. 1,000s of deaths and the Ireland is still not united. Also he shot his own men to kiss the queens arse and keep Ireland as a Brit colony
