Actually if you check the fossil record you will find that it shows the result of cataclysm and if there was a world wide flood early in earth's history which most civilizations records show, then this would answer your question of why certain fossils aren't found in certain strata. Explain the Cambrian Explosion for me as an "evolutionist"...
There's no geological evidence for a worldwide flood. That's a religious myth that's only taught at bible colleges. The flood and the idea of a young earth were both rejected by geologists (mostly religious men) in the early 1800's, decades before Darwin even wrote about evolution. Have you ever handled fossils or seen layers of exposed geological strata? No flood can explain the distinct sedimentary types. And would you even know how to "check the fossils record"?

But to be honest, his right to speak is something I don't mind defending... not because he has anything valuable to say, but because people like him (along with idiots like Kirk Cameron) serve a purpose. They make the holes in creationism particularly obvious to the people reading or watching from the sidelines who might be honestly searching for answers. Freedom of speech is about the government not silencing people. He's entitled to speak, just not in any venue he wants, which includes my videos. @dudev Yeah, on second thought I take back what I just said. There's a difference between allowing someone to make their case and just letting someone litter your page with preaching. You would think that people who come to pages like this would be more interested in actually debating than just quoting Bible verses at people and denouncing evolution. You have to wonder what their end goal is.
I think they want to drown out the opposition and confuse the issue. Creationists don't exactly encourage believers to read about evolution in real science books.
@dudev I'm not sure the answer is so simplistic. Having been a believer once, I realize that many believers are sincere. When I started really seeking the truth, my goal wasn't to confuse the issue, that's for sure. I personally think that communities are the problem. I notice that the "preachiest" ones who talk around things are the ones that maintain a bond with a community of like believers. If everyone around you is a super-christian, than you can't look at real evidence objectively.
So, he is basically making the argument of "the absence of evidence, IS evidence of absence", and yet he ignores the fact that all fossils that are found would be transitional forms of the parents and offspring. But, will play the exemption-to-the-rule card for his belief in god. Where the absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. I think he is missing a link.

DNA CONFIRMED the paleontological tree of life (which scientists had envisioned long before it was verified by DNA sequence analysis). Evolution is one of the most validated and confirmed theories in all of science. We don't even need transitional fossils to prove the theory. DNA does it. Period.

The biblical god doesn't appear to exist (just like thousands of others). Evolution is a fact of life and is proven through multiple facets of science including DNA sequencing analysis.
Evolution contradicts Creation = No Original Sin = No need for Yahweh/Jesus to sacrifice himself to himself (which was truly a ridiculous story in any case)

@hangguy209 this "light" was created even before the sun(of course darkness is the absence of light/the sun). Remember that is important. The moon cannot shine without the sun light to reflect upon it. This "light" was certainly not the sun because the sun was created on day 4. These verses are useless because it still failed to provide accurate explanation of the moon light. Read it in plain english and still it contradicts itself chief.

Both the flood and a young earth were accepted by science prior to Darwin and the fossil record shows more proof of a water cataclysm then your alleged "Geologic Column" which is based on circular logic and not science. If you can't make that first simple amino acid then you're screwed and so is your "religion". Minor changes in species does not show "evolution". When a cat fucks a cat you get a cat offspring not a dog...you would need to jump to a different species to prove evolution. You can't! What "facts"?

Something else all you "evolutionists" out there might want to think about before you start throwing bones around to prove your "religion" is an explanation of "chemical-evolution" which would have had to occur prior to your bony friends ever roaming the earth. If you study geology, you will find that with the deepest core samples taken to date we find the presence of oxygen. With oxygen present you couldn't have formed your first simple amino acid...that's science!

Actually if you check the fossil record you will find that it shows the result of cataclysm and if there was a world wide flood early in earth's history which most civilizations records show, then this would answer your question of why certain fossils aren't found in certain strata. Explain the Cambrian Explosion for me as an "evolutionist"...

There's no geological evidence for a worldwide flood. That's a religious myth that's only taught at bible colleges. The flood and the idea of a young earth were both rejected by geologists (mostly religious men) in the early 1800's, decades before Darwin even wrote about evolution. Have you ever handled fossils or seen layers of exposed geological strata? No flood can explain the distinct sedimentary types. And would you even know how to "check the fossils record"?

@dudev I'm not sure the answer is so simplistic. Having been a believer once, I realize that many believers are sincere. When I started really seeking the truth, my goal wasn't to confuse the issue, that's for sure. I personally think that communities are the problem. I notice that the "preachiest" ones who talk around things are the ones that maintain a bond with a community of like believers. If everyone around you is a super-christian, than you can't look at real evidence objectively.
