I bought this phone and it was absolute trash. It ran slowly, there were icons for programs supposedly installed at the factory that were missing. There's no java support. You can't update it or add any programs. On top of that the earpiece just stopped working. It's not an iPhone. Not even close. Don't be fooled.

I am hoping you can help me. I purchased the CETA A380i phone. How can I get the keypad to appear when I am in a call? For example, while checking voicemail, or banking I need to press a number on keypad, but I cannot figure out how access keypad to press '1' or '7' etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just received my i32 HiPhone today and I'm still trying to figure out how to work the features as well. Unfortunately mine didn't even come with the game demo or the stylus. There has to be a program that can detect other folders, kinda like the Dash.

Upload the jar file to the root folder then goto java/menu/install/from file/ and install it to the java folder then delete the jar file in the root folder. :)

Any new info on if java apps/games can be setup on these phones? I've ordered a P168 from ebay and awaiting delivery.

There is a person on ebay selling a CD of apps for these phones. He claims to show how to install apps and even setup GPS on them. Not sure how credible that is though.

yah sure, you would just need to convert the output media from Gp3 to Mpeg or AVI. There are a gazillion free converters on the net,just google seach and you will find some easy to use format programs. Just be cautious of installing spyware from some of these so called converters. Key things to be weary of is a low file size executable program, ( under 1 MB... I would avoid) don't downloadany that have a low review count and anything in Beta test mode.QUICKMEDIACONVERTER is ok.

Hey, It doesn't godirectly to the micro card because the phone acts as a webcam also so in order to continue or go to the mass storage, you have to tell the phone your preference from the two options.

Easiest method to move files amongst folders is to opeon two windows explorers, navigate to the folders you want to work within and simply drag and drop or cut and paste.

go to the settings in the audio player by clicking or tapping on the little wrench, the last setting is to turn on or off the shake next song function.

No it said Java when i purchased it and i am familiar with java and .jad and .jar but can't get it to find the path to the folder. That is my main beef with the phone. I am just waiting for someone to figure it out and let me know . if you ever find out how to crack this, let me know. thanks

The only iritating thing i find is that when you make a call and you dial a service that requires you to enter more numbers after, you have to be carefull if you use your shoulder to hold up the phone. The touch screen keypad constantly buzzes and goes to the wrong menu or disconnects the call because my face is pressed against it when I call telephone banking. very annoying. When I call my voicemail, I end up starting the message from the beginning each time.

First thing I did was delete them just in case my friends checked out my phone.That shit could land yourself a fat lip. Put them into 'my music' which should be the same folder and delete the existing ones.load up the folder and then disconnect the phone from PC. navigate to the file manager, then to the folder and thru 'Options' refresh the list.

Transfer some mp3 files in your computer music file. It's probably your shared folder or something. Wherever you store your mp3's. then disconnect the phone from the computer and You have to navigate to my music folder in file manager on your phone and then choose options then refresh list or whatever like that needs to be selected. I can't recall what is was to be exact. It will only show the refresh option once and every time after that, the files will display automatically.

Its a folder on your phone that links the audio player to those music mp3 files contained there. I see you already checked pickelweasell. If your computer can't find the phone then check your device manager. The phone is actually tagged as a mass storage device under USB. If the mass storage driver has a yeild sign beside it, you can remove it and restart your computer. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

Or try pluging your cable into a different USB port. Does your phone do anything when you connect it? ie : does it say web cam or mass storage? If it does then choose mass storage and open windows explorer to view your files. Navigate to the drive letter that is showing under my computer. for example if drive f: or drive G: or Drive D is listed and you didn't have it there before then that is more than likely your phone . depending on your connected drives and devices, it may be any drive letter

Hello, just connect to a pc thru mass storage,navigate to the My Music folder and put your mp3's in there. refresh the list from the phone going thru the file manager. all your songs will show.

i suggest putting a decent size micro sd card in. 2 GB and then you have to go to Mobile folder and then My music to store the mp3's

Hi there again. I really don't like the cheap earphones the cect a380i comes with. Plus the earphone jack does not seem to fit any other earphones that I have looked into. Do you know if there is a good quality pair of earphones that would fit the cect a380i phone other than the ones that are supplied by the manufacturer? Do you think I can splice the wire of the cect earphones and connect it my sony earphones?

I agree with you on the supplied earphones and I am going to probably do the same thing and hack the wire to hook up a good pair. Note that the dongle also has a microphone feed line so try to use earphones that have the mircophone feature too. I would also recommend that you cut the wire a few inches up from the dongle so you have lots of wire to work with.

I can't seem to play any of mpg 4 videos on it. I have tried putting the videos in the proper file folder but it would always say invalid video file. Do you know exactly what format the phone reads and to which folder to put them in?

You have to convert the mp4 to 3gp. just download a multiple format converter and rip and then load it to your phone. Yasa works and is free if i recall.

I don't have the wireless headphones, mine came with the corded one and it is ok but tends to pop out of the input slot. My laptop can sync with it via Bluetooth 2.0 so the BT does actually work but I can't say yes or no to the wireless ones. If I buy one, I will post the compatibility results here.

The keyboard is small but the stylus works well and if you have never seen an ant on the ground, you won't see shit for the keyboard. however it recognises handwritting damn well so you can use that method. Goto 4:03 on the vid and that will give you an idea of the keyboard functionality.
