  • This series is brilliant. It's a wonderful thing that the earth has people like Richard Dawkins.

  • 1:29 What he should have said was, chimps are like xbox360 users and humans is like ps3 users.

  • If i was to give advise I'd say stop going to church, study research the ideas/ideals/beliefs of these different religions or beliefs and choose the one that seems right to the individual. And also advise lets stop taking the bible as an excuse to kill, I have been taught that only God has the right to judge/kill the evil doer

  • thank you , Prof Dawkins, it is true indeed that we're grotesquely lucky to be alive and it's true indeed that from a view point of science, it took a LOT of things to happen before we can even be born, your words are really life-affirming. Please continue to teach the importance of Science thru whatever way u can! Maybe you can even start a 'missionary' School of Science, all over the world? We MUST advance the teaching of Science because the fall of Science will be the fall of mankind!

  • @tonymoey are u a dawkins drone? dawkins worshipper? He is not teaching science he is teaching sovietism.

Christians, Muslims have all been great scientist, what a bunch of crap. This science vs religion fight is a fraud.

  • See, sometimes when someone like Dawkins is speaking with someone who is clearly of inferior intellegence and lacks any real level of education, they assume he is being condenscending or that he's being arrogant. Thats not the case at all. Its just that these uneducated hicks don't understand what he is saying and as a result think he is being a prick. Thats why intellegence is frowned upon in this world. Because the stupid and irrational vastly outnumber the intellegent and rational.

  • Sorry for weak commentary...I am no genius, that is for sure....but seriously, Dawkins should be embarrassed....it takes an unlearned, untrained mind to listen to him and agree....it is ok to be untrained or whatever, but if you can't see Dawkins manipulations for millions, you truly are like him...

  • @snorkelvideo What the Hell are you talking about?! Jesus tity-fucking Christ! Dawkins is a highly educated person and makes excellent points for his arguements and is also willing to listen to the other side. Any rational person would agree with this man. You've clearly shown yourself to be quiet lacking in the education department, which is probably why you are having trouble following Dawkin's line of reasoning/arguements.

  • @snorkelvideo Dawkins is teaching what the communist xews did in Russia, Romania and Lithuania, there is no difference except he doesn't have the power to burn churches and murder all the Christians, what he is doing is recruiting for that.

  • "We are ahead of St Paul and Muhammad's blah blahmorals"....this has no background in reality, and anyone who believes that our society is more productive than 2,000 ago is an idiot.....and Dawkins is the King of that!

  • @snorkelvideo 2000 years ago, what is the mortality rate? What is the life expectancy of human ? How much food per capita is 2000 years ago ? Did any one walked on the Moon 2000 years ago ? Where is Internet, iPhone, iPad 2000 years ago ? I think you are really out of touch with reality

  • "We are ahead of St Paul Muhammad and morals"....this has no background in reality, and anyone who believes that our society is more productive than 2,000 ago is an idiot.....and Dawkins is the King of that!

  • Quote by Dawkins "Religion is a parasite on a much older sense"…this makes no sense and shows his lack of IQ...pretty funny how many believe him.

  • @snorkelvideo Satan will fry you for saying that.

  • Religion is a parasite on a much older sense…this makes no sense and shows his lack of IQ...pretty funny how many believe him.

  • He manipulates ideas without having an understand of the construct of the bible--cultural and the definitions of the words translated from the hebrew.....He is lacking in intelligence and can't think on his own feet...>Dawkins surprises me with his gall, while at the same time having nothnig to back it up...

  • @snorkelvideo : Are u a noble prize winner?

  • I would love to see an interview between Prof. Richard Dawkins and Dr Myles Munroe. A lot of the 'Christians' Richard interviews do not seem to demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the bible.

  • @zwaksification Get those who so called demonstrate a thorough knowledge and understanding of the Bible teach the ones in BIble belt USA, Orthodox Jew and Muslims for they are the person who abused the Bible to harm others.

  • ok gotta say it, sorry for the massive amount of necro posting. 1st time seeing this video, & I responded to some REALLY old comments. I wasn't trying to flood the comments section, but I did get a bit carried away with finding posts to reply to - although after 7 months to a year, I doubt the author cares about any responses anymore LOL, but still, I replied. Just wanted to apologise - there are some great comments on this - so skip to the second page for those who just found it like I did.

  • @JohnfromPerth I THINK the reason the Old Testament is still in circulation because of Judaism, a jewish friend told me (so I assume it's true), that their faith is based on the OLD testament & the NEW has nothing to do with them & they don't believe in Jesus - & as they don't celebrate 'Jesus' days - like xmas, I think he's probably right. They're more into worshiping a magic lantern that had oil for 1 day, but god made i last 7 (Chanukkah), but I don't think that's their most religious day.

  • @arh003 as I said I BELIEVE that's why based on information given to me by a Jewish friend, but you'd have to research the Jewish faith to be sure on that, & as I haven't, I cannot say that my answer to your question is actually 100% correct ... However, I tend to believe people who follow their faiths, & he was very disdainful of the New Testament Lies. Which I found funny, 'cause the God of the Old Testament was such a FUN guy wasn't he?

  • Having just finished watching this and another Dawkins Documentary (Why can't I remember it's name ... oh Enemies of Reason - that was not as good as this one, but still good, and I agree with Dawkins in that the BBC or whoever produced this and is responsible for the name is a wank, it underminds his position and sets up prejiduce before you even start watching) STILL I can't believe how blind people WANT to be, it's sad ... and these people honestly seem to WANT to be this way ... poor things

  • 1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all.

John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.

  • If you cant reason dont watch this video. Athiests spread the facts and stop religion from spreading lies.

  • I don't want to be windows 2000 :(

  • @MrC0MPUT3R LMAO!!! well you certinally don't want to be Vista either!!!! with all it's "are you sure" "i know you just said yes, but please, are you sure", "ok, one last time now, are you sure", YES DAMMIT ... apparently Widow's 7 is ok ... but Visa is shit ... but I'm with you ... not 2000 ... oh and I don't really like being related to a computer - although, I probably share DNA with it LMAO - JOKE ...

  • ms dos analogy was good, yet bad LOL.

  • Five Stars! A wonderful truth.

  • Great documentary. The bible is really a horrible book with so much sick scriptures. If you believe in it you CAN'T pick and choose, you have to believe in everything. How many christians thinks it's ok to hand over your daughter and let her get raped to save a male guest. Just pathetic. And the passage about killing your friend if they don't have the same beliefs as you... it's just a big LOL.

  • @eAzydaman my understanding of that daughters thing was that is was a story of Lot (God's favourite 'punching bag' fo his own amusement by my understanding with is 'faith' constantly being tested) in the end of the story an 'angel' actually came down and saved the girls and dispersed the mob. load of crap really. but if you read the story, it's retarded. he was fully willing to do it & just the idea that he was WILLING means he's a fuck up! Story came from the bible so it's a false but still.

  • @eAzydaman but stil, the idea tha a testament of faith is that you'll protect a man at by throwing your daughters and the man's wife out to an angry mob to enjoy all night long is just wrong ... but as it's a bible story, this shit is normal and 'ok' ... and yet another good reason to believe that God is either rather EVIL in nature or that the prick doesn't exist, because I REFUSE to believe my 'saviour' is also the guy who would throw me to a mob to save a man, sexist arse ... *end rant*

  • @eAzydaman oh the other story you refer to I do not know. I have read the bible, but I can't quite it. But it's a hell of a horrible tale, but read it like a book, don't pick and choose a passage here & there (ie don't open a random page) it reads LIKE A BOOK, a very twisted, (makes the Grim Bros look tame) and a black humour on what it was like to live in the times of the Roman Empire. Egyption Myhology is such a better read, it really is, at least it's fun! the bible just makes me shudder!

  • @arh003 edit, meant 'quote it' yay for my shitty English skills! YAY you wouldn't believe I have an edumacation (spelt that wrong on purpose) ... all that money spent at uni ... for what ... oh well ... I did science and math, and spell check works for me ... and yes I avoided as many literature courses as I could - I did have to do one - "Communication and Thought" - uni's reasoning = "because 'scientists make bad communicators" ... I'm beginning to believe that statement is actually true LOL

  • His idea, all we have is the here and now. And he calls himself a scientist and yet convienently leaves out what is the purpose of life itself since he can't explain where it came from or where it goes after death. And yet death is very real and it will happen to all of us. So I'll take my chances in knowing about God and that there is life after death,( while I still enjoy this life as well,) then knowing nothing at all but just the here and now mentality. Ask me who's closed minded.

  • but i wonder why so many scientists are Christians. even the most famous ones from the past, Einstein, Darwin, etc. Science doesnt conflict with religion, as science is of the physical world & religion of the spiritual world. Religions have done a lot of evil deeds, that's only because humans have made religions into politics. In most religious teachings it has never been about violence. Even if there is no religion, they will find other ways to do evil deeds. That was how World Wars came to be.

  • @joyceyehcyy einstein was jewish, just letting you know

  • @Ris723 oops. yeah i meant ones that believed in God

  • @Ris723 Einstein was neither Christian nor Jewish. He didn't believe in a personal god.

  • @MrC0MPUT3R later in his life yea, but he was born and raised jewish

  • @Ris723 If this kind of BULLSHIT is all you ever watch then how can you deny God. I have 10,000 comments on 3000 videos I've watched and this was after I read all scripture, and most of history, and I know evolution happen, I know science! You people are fucking IGNORANT! GO FUCKING STUDY IT! I cant scream it enough! if you haven't studied it, then STFU and go study!

  • @Ris723 it doesn't really matter what he believed early in life though does it?

  • @MrC0MPUT3R no, your right it dosent, but i didnt mean to imply that it did... i was just pointing out that he's jewish by heritage and not christian, that's all i'm saying

  • @MrC0MPUT3R Einstein was Jewish! and he supported cannabis also!

  • @ineedaname7777777 you are a troll. No one wants you here. Go away.

  • @MrC0MPUT3R NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • @JohnfromPerth The validity of the NT comes from the OT. This is only an excuse so that they can eat their BACON!!!!

  • very rare that you see Richard smile with teeth this much

  • hi burritofamine, this post is way old. But thanks for commenting on it. the title is not the only place where Dawkins declares absolutist opinions about how negative religious faith is. It's been a long time since I looked at this video, but I'm sure there are strong absolutist opinions in this video as there are in his writings.

It's ok to have strong opinions. But there needs to be more proof to match.

  • The guy he starts talking to at 5:40, Ian McEwan, reminds me of Douglas Adams talking about his conversion to atheism: "I'd take the awe of understanding over the awe of ignorance any day."

  • Very nice words from a Evolution Biologist:

"We are going to die and that makes us the lucky ones. Most people never gonna die, because they never gonna be born.

The number of people who could be here in my place, outnumber the sand grains of the Sahara. You and I are quite grotesquely lucky to be here in the number of event who have to happen in order for you to exist, in order for my to exist. We are privileged to be alive and we should make the most of our time on this world."

  • "...by what standards do we cherry pick the bible, why do we bother with the bible at all?"

Exactly what I think. If someone says they are Christians, then I expect them to also say that they would personally stone an adulterer to death, because that's the prescribed punishment from the BIBLE. If they can't say that, then on what grounds do they have to choose what in the bible to believe in??

    Why bother at all...

  • @JeanLouie1106 You don't even need to go so far as to ask them if they'd murder an adulterer. Ask them if they'll give up seafood and pork as well as refuse to wear clothes of mixed fabrics, all of which are mortal sins in the Bible.

  • Chimps are DOS. Humans are Windows 2000. Fundamentalists are Windows Vista..

  • @crvorhees

That is a great analogy. :D

  • excellent

  • and atheists are linux :)

  • @tm1729 im a mac atheist lol

  • @crvorhees if you've ever argued with a fundamentalist, you've seen the "blue screen of death", too!

  • lucky to be alive?? hahaha

  • kickingtheutubehabit :

"to make the claim stick that a certain religion is necessarily a vehicle for evil, one has to show that it's teachings instructs followers to commit evil."

Go watch part 4 of this video where the preacher got the death sentence for murdering a Doctor. Because his "interpretation" of the Bible told him to.

  • I think the absence of fear is more important than the absence of truth currently. I think fear (even fear of being wrong) leads to conflict where people could agree "ahhh thats billy for ya" its gotten really serious, if anyone watches tv/movies, most of the time there is a snap offensive insult. Any sporting hero role model who plays up gets banned or fired, but there are much more common role models on prime time tv doing whatever they like - cheating, lying, evading police and its comedy.

  • This is such an important and beautiful documentary. This should be elementary in schools. Wonderfull camerawork too.

  • it's too simplistic to say that the root of all evil is religion. religions can become the vehicle to carry out evil just like politics, non-religious ideologies, and even science (nuclear weapons, etc.).

to make the claim stick that a certain religion is necessarily a vehicle for evil, one has to show that it's teachings instructs followers to commit evil.

  • @kickingtheutubehabit : Dawkins himself said that he disliked the title the BBC picked out for the series.

  • a tear has just fallen from my eye > wow what a documentry > this should be shown in schools> under religious education > thanks for upload > *****

  • Our Destiny for all is One, DEATH!!!? Why then must we work? Why are some Rich and some Poor? then does it matter to be Good or Bad? it seems there is no purpose to anything? we will all DIE? our Human Flesh will Die, our perfect machine will breath no more, and our heart will beat no more..It all means nothing?? What then Happens to your Soul, the mystery we call conscience, will your evil not be judge, will your Good mean nothing? You Will be Judge Dont be FOOLED!!!open your mind!!

  • We work so that we can live There are rich and poor because some have money and some don't Your life means whatever you MAKE it mean What evidence do you have for a soul to ask that question? There is no mystery to conscience, it ceases when our brains stop functioning. Evil is judged during our lifetimes, or not at all. Once someone is dead they can't hurt you , nor can they feel as though they "got away" with it Your good will mean something to the people you leave behind

    Peace

  • good answers , i appreciateyou ,and i'm in your side .

  • Thank you, I try. :)

    Peace

  • There is no evidence for anything or anyone judging us, or acting as a magical celestial dictator, nor even any evidence that we will survive our bodily deaths.

Don't be fooled by dogma, think for yourself, live for those around you, and love all equally.

    Peace

  • What then is your soul?

Point to it on your body!

Come on vipsamsam, really open your mind and think about your soul. What is it? Where is it? Do animals have one? Why/why not?

  • what's With the Random capitolization? seriously, You're like the Fifth christian Who i saw Doing This.

  • Open your mind too much... and your brain will fall out.

  • this is exactly what religious people do,

they open their mind to everything they are told,

Naturalists are not, they are close minded, they question and criticize all they are told and evaluate them with scrutiny,

  • Great Dawkin's quote

  • Comment removed

  • @arh003

Those are good questions!!......I guess we should start by asking why in the world would God the father send his only begotten Son to earth as a human being? Now imagine how a God of ultimate justice can ignore Sin for the sake of his ultimate love! it would contradict the very fact that God is all Justice because he is unable to judge Sin, but imagine also a God of Love condenming all his creation since we are unable to be perfect and will inevitably sin.....continue

  • Comment removed

  • @vipsamsam so are you saying that we have to believe in God for God's sake to be 'eligable' for cruisifixtion rights? and only the 'believers' get this special prize? Well that seems silly, it seems like a contradiction ... "I will sacrifice my only son (myself) so that all you sinners are saved and all your sins now and forever are washed away - but ONLY if you believe in me and immortalise me forever" ... doesn't that then simply make him a mater? (wow, great spelling in there - go me)

  • @arh003 you also have to wonder WHY God in all his 'judgementness' (which he LOVED dishing up in the OT, not so much in the NT - was the crusifixtion for GOD's sins then not ours?) why would he set up a system that very simply puts him in a place to be questioned ... We don't need most of the books of the bible to tell us 'how' things happened, we know most of it is wrong - it was written by men after all in a primitave languge and they're planning ANOTHER translation ... TBC with Q for you

  • @arh003 With all this evidence against god and against the scriptures where do YOU as a christian, draw the line and say 'enough is enough, either we've translated it correctly by now, or we cannot translate it", as I understand it the language on the scrolls and in the texts is a 'dead language' so they have to find people who can read it, and 'hope they get it right'

where do you draw the line in science reasoning for a god or against a god - what would be your turning point?

  • @arh003

I dont know if you read my comments but I explain to you it is not the belief in christ but accepting a life in christ....those are two very different statements.......But I dont understand your logic, if you are implying you dont believe in God, then this means there is no such thing as Good or Evil, you simply die and go back to dirt, you dont have to worry about accepting christ or doing good or evil, just simply live for tomorrow may never come!

  • @vipsamsam a lack of belief in god does not equal a lack of belief in good & evil-nor does it mean a lack of morality.

    For me

good = something that does no harm to others, does not impinge on their freedoms and helps create a better society

bad = doing harm to another person, impinge on freedoms and rights and degridate my society ...

I do not need 'catholic' morals to be able to work that out.

And SO again don't understand what you mean, seems I spend a great deal of time in this state.

  • @vipsamsam I did read your replies & while interesting, didn't really answer my question. I do not understand the diference in believing in Christ to Accepting a life in Christ - seems essentially the same thing to me. & you have not answered my question about sin. If it is a sin not to believe in god - then wasn't that sin washed away with the crusifixtion. if it is a sin to question the reasons of the world & it's origins, again, wasn't that sin 'cleansed' or was it not, How can it be both?

  • @arh003

". If it is a sin not to believe in god - then wasn't that sin washed away with the crusifixtion".

    .

Ok I understand what you are asking......It must be understood that all those who believe and accept the salvation in christ are saved. The crucifixion was "how" jesus died not the salvation itself. The meaning of Jesus's human death is that he lived a perfect life and resisted all temptation of sin, something humans are unable to achieve........continue

  • @arh003

and so when we accept a life in christ we are commited to living for the will of God and being sinful beings only when we live through christ does God see christ holiness in Us. So No your sins are not washed away until you repent of your sins........THis is why Christ showed by example his baptism as a symbol for the repentence of sins to God. Its simply a myth to believe faith itself will save you........it takes Faith and living a life in christ.

  • @vipsamsam Nope. Just faith. By New Testament standards Hitler and Stalin could both be chillin w/ your "God" in Heaven, if they accepted Christ. Read your saviors words sometime. Unless I'm "taking it out of context". Sort of like animal and human sacrifice alike, the millions dead in God's name, the "vengeful wrath" of god.. You know, all of those gems that make God the pinnacle of morality and love.

  • @feralaesthetic

Well ok, the problem with your statement is purely based on opinion, what I would need from you for your point to be valid is to give The book, chapter, verses in which Christ permits Sin to run free and still for Christ to have said you are saved.........I would suggest you read what the kingdom of God means when christ is speaking to his apostles.

  • @arh003

continue 2nd.....and so God shows his ultimate Love by the ultimate expression of Love and that is sacrificing his life for the life of anothere.........and so being able to show his ultimate love and also showing his ultimate justice....but the important thing is his humanity, he being human was perfect and so if we accept his salvation and live a life in christ God the father forgives our Sin and judges us on our goodness for he is seeing christ in us and not our sinful selfs.....

  • @arh003

continue 3...and so it is important to know that it is not the belief in christ that saves but accepting a life in christ, but now the judgement of sin comes to play for if you reject christ's salvation God the father will also reject you.....or else christ's death would be in vain for nothing, and so you will be exclusively judge upon your sins and your good deeds will be forgotten for you have rejected goodnes itself.......And so Christ is the only way to salvation!!

  • @arh003 didn't mean to delete this, the essential question of it for the curious was - if jesus died for our sins now and in the future whether we committed them or not, then isn't the gates of hell closed to all because of that crusifiction ... but i used more words and it made more sense ....

  • altruistic genes?Who would be stupid enough to even think that humans have anything altruistic about them? Look at all the misery and injustice around! What planet are you from? That is the lamest sorry ass excuse I ever heard for a tunnel visioned fanatical scientist!!

  • I would put the hardships in this world on the religious upbringing of most of us. Yes I blame religion, as it allows bastards to feel good about themselves. They rob society to amass a fortune, and fell good about themselves because they hate fags for god. Religion sells them absolution for the evil they do if they will do religions evil.

  • Friend,

I am a Christian, and my faith calls me to be an extremist for love. I know that there are too many who are extremists for hate but try to justify their hatred with a God of peace. The sword and the cross are just not compatible.

Read "Letters from Birmingham Jail" and say what you said--this time, with a conscience.

I think that everybody can believe in his God...many people already do.

I too am sad for the church, but I want Christians to be more like the Christ they follow.

    Paz

  • Unfortunately though the majority are not like you. It's fine that you have faith, but there's no need for organized religion. It has done very little if anything to help further humanity and our understanding of the world.

  • "An extremist for love"? You've got to be kidding... you adhere to a belief (one without a shred of any evidence to back it up) that teaches children that unless they accept Jesus as their saviour... they'lll burn in a fiery pit of torment forever. That's some tough love you got there.

  • Seriously man you can't be this stupid, think of all of the opportunities we have to commit a negative act from something small to insulting a stranger on the street to commiting outright murder. Now take that number and subtract how often one of these negative acts actually happens we're talking about 1 maybe 2 percent of the time not even over 50 percent (if you don't believe that number then over 1/2 the people you see should actively insult you rather than keep on walking)

  • jazz (or Dawkins) didn`t say we have altruistic genes you thick twat. Read The Selfish Gene yourself you lazy fucking idiot.

  • Everything is in genes idiot, they decide what hormones are in your body.

  • You obviously have no altruistic genes, or plenty of coarse manners genes, and you make me laugh with your narrow minded ignorant attitude. ha ha ha ho ho ho ho ho!

  • Fuck, it`s Santa.

  • well, the number of people who were born in a situation were they can´t "make the most" of their lives also outnumbers the grains of sand in sahara. very few people are lucky to be alive, for most of them, according to this view, and i mean the vast majority of the world, it would have been much better of if they weren´t born. should we recommend, for people living in extreme poverty, that they commit suicide?

  • GREAT uploads!

  • 8:49 AMEN.

  • Reetz

  • Pregnant teenagers should use Mary's excuse of "mom... dad, I swear I didn't sleep with anyone; I got pregnant by god."

  • @SirianKings So honey you are pregnant without having sex? LET'S START A RELIGION

  • @SirianKings Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit of God is a sign of those dead in Spirit! one Love

  • I don't care if you like Dawkins or not. One thing he says I think we can all agree on is to live life to the most. Let's enjoy it!

  • yea, ye... living life to the most actually doesn't primarily mean enjoying yourself. but yea sure lets enjoy it.

  • best man.............ever lived...........

  • if one wishes to ascribe "luck" to non living forms, then why should they be considered "lucky" to experience human consciousness, with all it's human gratifications? I love being human, BUT I wouldn't consider others "unlucky" for not being human. That would be a self centred view.

The dead don't regret death either.

Our lusts, curiosities, fears, joys, angers, are of value to us alone.

We should therefore seek to preserve, improve and possibly extend life for all THE LIVING.

  • religion is just a tool,u don't have to brake the tool you have to kill the one who handle that. so brake the system.

    One solution.

    Revolution!

    : x

  • "...Morality is older than religion"

now that's a really good point and one i'm glad he opened with that phrase.

  • @Filosoto "...Morality is older than religion" PROVE IT!

  • God can show you he is real if you actually study , but if you just watch hate videos and go home and beat off, you aren't going to suddenly KNOW from wanking to porn and playing COD!

  • @Filosoto yep it is older cause morality was the base of surviving as a speacies like evrey kind of animal kingdom notice that every animal speacies as their own rules and moral standart and to complet your taught religion was the tools of promulging morals but they did not invented

  • @Filosoto Well actually morality is older than the white man, the oldest white civilization is 10,000 yrs old the oldest black mans civilization is 120,000 yrs old and the black peoples civilization actually had 100,000 of uninterrupted peace until it was recorded in India, afghanistan, Egypt and Babylon of these war like violent white races invading black people and creating the cast system as well as introducing child sacrifice for their white gods

its not religion is "white man religion"

  • People who truly believe in religion scare the crap out of me. Luckily, most people just seem kind of apathetic towards their religion and only hold onto it so they can assauge their fear of death.

  • i am a theist but i still like him for his sincerity , love the last lines of the vid

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • I completely agree with your point of view that organized religion is extremely harmful to our planet. I also refuse to sit back and do nothing about it. So the real question is what can I do to convert or help convert a world full of fundamentalists into a world full of open-minded people? Is it even a possible task? Am I a closed minded person because I agree with you and not with the religious fundamentalists?

  • Go to hell. lol. :].

    But seriously go fuck yourself

  • well did you know in the bible it says who codems to hell is condemed them selfs because you are taking the place of god but i know you havent read the bible so have fun in hell

  • cant wait to get there

  • there is no hell you stupid fark.

Have fun reading the Bible. Its a great novel just like Quran, Torah, Vedas and L Ron hubbard's novels.

  • yes i know i was talking to some one else who was saying we were going to hell

  • ....and you must be a very very uneducated person...........i feel very sorry for you and your "empty" brain!

  • oh ya he works for what he doesnt believe in

  • do you have proof of that?

  • This account is closed.....:D

  • I love how at 0:37 the people are cleaning the church pews, and then a few seconds later, Dawkins walks up and puts his grubby little hands on them!

Fucking OWNED! I love the Dawk.

  • religion and rationale never mix......nor does nationalism and religion.... the second being the most dangerous and proves that religion indeed is the root of all evils.....religion suggests one to be superior to others by birth...which is injustice to all mankind...... all the world wars are in a way related to religion and greed...and a false sense of being superior.

  • Simply astounding. Although I own and have read Dawkins "The God Delusion" I haven't come across this documentary before.

Very very very impressed. Yet again.

We live in a time where other peoples beliefs and actions influence our own and our childrens. This can be detrimental to our kind and to modern civilization in the coming decades and further.

In 1000 years time from now I honestly believe that religion will not exist... IF these religions haven't destroyed our world by then.

  • to bad they cant play these before and after religulous programs on the tele in canada

  • epic end sequence

  • Got to love this line: "We are priviliged to be alive, and we should make the most of our time on this world"

  • Yes fantastic quote!!

  • "Channel 4 next celebrity Big Brother"

From one of the most to one of the least intelligent programs on television.

  • Great documentary.

    Gotta love Richie D.

  • Awesome doc.

  • "Why should it matter if you cease to exist now or in 40 years? What's the difference?"

    40 years.

  • i am not windows 2000!

  • Not me either... I am atleast XP Professional.... :P

  • ha ha ha........

  • immortalmutation: «Banning religion would make people commit crimes because there is no higher authority than us(God)», you're right. I've been commiting crimes for a long time. Actually, I'm a serial killer. Because I'm an atheist and I believe there's a God: me. I don't have a religion and I worship one being: me. But I'm the only one who knows that.

  • watch George Carlin - religion is bullshit

  • George Carlin is like a more simple and funny Dawkins.

  • Even though I believe in aspect of the Communist system, I think the dogmatic and fevorish brainwashing of many people using Communist ideal (which were not all tested) are more similar to "divine" brainwashing via religion.

  • lol, are you saying that if there's no God, you'd go around raping killing and stealing things? If so, natural selection (or artificial selection) will definitely eliminate your genes from the pool -> i.e.: you go away to prison for a long long time

  • What a beautiful conclusion by Dawkins: religion is such poisonous thing, the basis of which eradicates the human interest to explore and evaluate reality - regardless whether you subscribe to a holy book or not - this is the absolute antithesis of science (nystagmus, this is the answer you are looking for).

  • I dont' understand how science and the concept of God cannot go hand and hand. I trying to figure out Dawkin's point: I think his contention is about ridiculous traditions and lack of curiosity and logic that comes with organized religion. But if you take that away and just "believe" in god, it should not be harmful. I study science to appreciate creation (by a creator), that gives more feeling of worship than any holy book would.

  • "How much more do you want?"

    So true.

  • Einstein also said: "a personal religion is naive"

  • because you hurting another human in some way, why do you need religion to see that. i'll kill and rob in a video game cause it's fun and doesn't hurt any real people.

  • People who object to being killed, raped or stolen from will consdider these things acts to be criminal. This will be true regardless of what corner of the earth and in what time period you examine. Religion not necessary.

  • 8:17 Awesome

  • wonderful...

The sooner we awaken all the minds and get rid of these fantasy religious rubbish the better...For all Mankind!
