I don't recall their program from the 2010 Olympics airing on tv; it probably didn't. I think they are a very talented team and hope to keep seeing them in the future.

i have been a figure skating fan for years, and I find it hard to believe they are the first black couple at Euro/Olympic/World standard. It would be SO great to see so many more skaters of ALL ethnicities.

Personally, I think SHE is a WONDERFUL skater, she hits every position perfectly, her line is excellent, her flow across the ice so graceful, her edges clean her stamina super on the throws. Sadly, he really isn't as good as she is.

You can't say that!! Yannick is born in France, he's French!! They represent the diversity of French people. Vanessa became French, what's the problem?! Is she the first skater to change her nationaly to be able to take part to big competitions? NO! So please don't say those kind of words, and think we are in 2010!!

I think the girl is much stronger than the man on this team. He seems to have trouble landing his jumps from the last couple of videos I've watched of them- I can see the tension every time he's about to jump- he lacks confidence that he'll land it, which is part of the problem I think. However, he's a really strong partner and can throw her high! She's really good. I missed their performance in the Olympics, but they are really quite a good team other than that.

I said the same thing one one of my posts. he makes me nervous. I am not crazy about the choregraphy either kind boring. But this girl makes some awesome landing.

Yeah, all their routines look simular, I think they should get a different choreographer. I looked at ut closer, and I think the problem is that he lacks flexibility, and is unable to get his leg properly behind him, which is throwing him off center and causing him to fall.  When he does his spins, I notice his leg is somewhat in what dancers jokingly call an "alasbesque" which means his leg is to the side in the back. He needs to stretch to get that back so his landings will be stronger.

I wish she had a different partner she is 22 or 23 her last hooray but i hope to see them on tour.
