@blacksabbath238 We're hooked up to microphones if I failed to mention that. You could be constructive, instead of just having something negative to say, you know.
@Katehxdundunnn Constructive? Teach them to blend. And they sound like little kids, make them make their voices more mature sounding. Have them sing with English accents for practice.
With this song in particular, tell your sopranos to quiet down in the beginning so they actually have somewhere to go.
I'm sure you already knew all of this if you're the director so just be tougher on them so they don't embarrass themselves next time they perform.
Thank you muchly to the both of you. Though, since I do not run the choir, I don't think I can suggest the 'darken' part. It's already too wordy for the sopranos, I should know, and once more, I will mention that it was our first performance of the year.
Thank you regardless. I'll pitch the ideas about next practice, but if they don't take it, it's honestly not my problem. Our director thinks we sing it fine, and doesn't want to change anything for fear that we won't be able to manage it.
I agree with the previous poster, that the singers should have switched to the "ng" sound, since the group quickly lost pitch by using such a hard vowel to sing. It was a nice arrangement, however, and for the most part, sounded nice. Please, though, have the sopranos "darken" their singing, as they do sound younger then they appear.
not bad. but i think it would sound better if they held out the "ng" instead of "i" or "o". but it still sounded really good. good job with soprano! :)
