Why was it necessary for Suggs to reach out and put both hands on Ben's helmet/facemask and appear like he's twisting his head (that's why it looks dirty), instead of just jacking him up with a huge body hit??? Let me re-phrase a bit. Why was it necessary for Suggs to reach out and put both hands on Ben's helmet/facemask and appear like he's twisting his head (that's why it looks dirty), instead of just jacking him up with a huge body hit??? All he had to do was hit Ben's arm for the fumble or swipe the ball out of Ben's hand for the fumble, not put his two hands on Ben's helmet. That's why I agree this appears suspect/dirty play. Don't want to argue with anyone, it's just what I see when I watch this.

I am a Patriots fan and I think Suggs is great player, HOFer, but that was a real dirty play, especially in slow motion. It looks like he is trying to twist Roethlisberger's entire neck, and not just knock the ball away for the fumble or deliver a huge body hit, by wrapping him up, or drilling him between the numbers witht he crown of his helmet, and just sack him. This play was totally dirty and I am not a Steelers fan.
