  • one of the BEST piano solos I have ever heard!!!!

  • I don't know if the blues were made for Susan or Susan was made for the blues but she is a force to be reckoned with!

  • The voice of Angels!

  • One of the best performances on youtube.

I never get tired of this one.

Simply perfect. This is real art right here.

  • Most wonderful.

  • Lord...

    There is no going home

  • omg first time listener.. where the f### have I been!!

  • @tbone2055 You and me both my man.

    She is something!!

  • Ahhh ! Loved it... :-)

  • One of the best-love her music!

  • thanks for the upload.

  • @sickles211

It's called "Wait For Me" from the album with the same name. The song is written by Felix Reyes (She says so at the end). If you like this song, you might like Ray Charles' "Drown In My Own Tears". 95% of the chord changes are the same.

  • What an awesome tune.... What record is it on and who wrote it?!!!

  • Buenísimo!!, encantadora!.

  • Big fan! Roll on, ST!

  • she moves me...

  • Ditto~ I also dig the guitar. Beautiful.....!

  • Holy cow!!! Fantastic in every way!!!

  • Thats my half aunt

  • If you guys like Susan, check out Debbie Davies. She's a great blues singer and guitarist.

  • @RetroJenny comments like yours are most worth than any other!

  • @RetroJenny, thanks!

  • OK... Susie can sing it, but if ONLY her gitar solo was of the same caliber as her piano mans then we'd have something REALLY special!

  • holy shit who is that on the keys? hes amazing

  • Susan is marvelous but this piano solo is incredible isn't ?

  • Well no wonder Derek fell in love with this woman.

  • I hate when people feel like they have to compare.... Susan is GREAT. missed her coming through town a week or so ago :-(

  • I really like susan's voice, she is one of my favourite female singers, but damn that guitar solo was lacking...

  • close your eyes and float away

  • First heard her on Legends & Lyrics on PBS and since then have been very impressed

  • Dang! Susan where you been all my life? I just bought every CD that Amazon had of your music! You rock girl!

  • LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, Susan Tedeski!!! Best singer singer Janis Joplin (only better)

  • quién dijo que hay que ser negro para cantar muy bien un blues?

  • reminds me so much of Bonnie Raitt

  • Oh...Susan...!!

  • Good ... that simple ! I am a new fan of hers.

  • love me some good blues

  • This girl is most likely the best female vocalists I have heard in a long long time. I would love to see her get together with John Mayer as they sing with the same passion for the music. Maybe some one of the music execs is reading this and realizes how well these two would sound together.

  • @bobbykhawk Yes, HOT DAMN that would be awesome. John already played with her husband Derek Trucks!

  • her and derek are amazing together

  • Great playing .. love that Tele - don't think I've seen one that color

  • PLEASE stop comparing Susie T. with ANYONE. Susie is Susie and no else.

  • @AuburnGradAuburnMom War Eagle!!

  • @AuburnGradAuburnMom Hear, Hear!

  • Marcia Ball w/ a guitar ! thanx for posting this clip.

  • Glad she sings like she do, she needs KW Sheppard on guitar with her.

  • @KJenkinsAF1 Or her husband, Derek Trucks. lol

  • its like the greatest mix between norah jones, sam cooke, and b.b. king. awesome

  • I seen her live at the Nice Jazz Festival during the summer in the South of France. It was truly amazing.

  • To me she has the greatest discrepancy between her speaking and singing voice of any singer I can think of. I mean she sounds nothing like she sings when she talks..lol.

    Hell of a singer though.

  • I wish I could play like her... shes my inspiration. I just hate TELES! UGH! i cant part with my strats!

  • Telecasters Rule!!

  • Thumbs up to that!!!

  • @ilovemyipodnanoyesh Yeeesh; how can you hate a Tele? Contrary to popular belief, they can do a lot more than twang ( although twang is their undisputed niche), many ( mine included) can do really well on blues

....dirty or clean. Of course, there are only lilke a thousand variants of Teles......but no need to hate on 'em!

  • @rocknut75 If you really want to see a Tele rock hard, check out Johnny Hiland playing with Sammy Hagar. He makes a Tele scream! Shows you don't need EVH or his Frankenstein to hit it hard! Tele's rock as well as swing and country and blues!

  • I'd be hard pressed to find a better blues singer right now--she's so amazing! I've always loved Susan!

  • She is amazing! She is a great Blues singer and getting bluesier and better all the time but.......Janiva Magness is a great female Blues singer also. Check her videos out and be happy that we have these two beautiful women singing the music of the soul that we so love.

  • YouTube Janiva Magness and find the one where she sings "You Were Never Mine" on the The Old Time Radio Hour or something like that. Just awesome.

  • what a pumpkin! Man she is so sexy! When it comes to the blues...I think this girl here defines the word and the feeling all in one........ Go on girl! MMMMMMMMmmmmm good!

  • never get tired of this one,and jason crosby is not human!!!!! amazing musician!

  • Very cool video and a fine artist..5 stars

  • if i could find a chick singer like this, i would'nt have to drive a bus no more,unless there's a job for a bass player/ bus driver..lol she's got soul !

  • This deserves more than 5 stars! Phenomenal performance!

  • Very different styles but her singing moves me like Diana Krall.

  • I saw her this year at the Montreal Jazz fest opening for Buddy Guy. Shivers and goosebumps for the entire show! What a voice! And as a bonus Derek was playing with the band as well.

  • she has not limits, she rocks me so right ...!

  • Sublime, simply sublime

  • I'm totally in love...I could sit and listen to this all night

  • ha im a 15 year old kid and i listen to this kind of music also indie stuff. nobody my age knows these great ppl. its really sad...like grace potter or norah jones? nobody has a clue. theyre great!

  • atta girl , good 4 u! be yoursefl music is the most persona thing, dont eva let anyone change your love 4 music that touches your soul, it will be a joy that will last a lifetime!

  • Thats cool! Do me a favor.....go to your school and punch everyone in the face that listens to "Pop Music"!!!

  • Im seeing her in august. Im way excited. Quick question to anyone who has seen Susan a view times, What is the probability of Derek Showing up? I saw derek with the Allman Brothers. Im taking my friend to see susan for his birthday. And i know that he'd love to see derek, not to mention i'd love to see them together aswell! If anyone knows please reply.

  • I knew a few people who saw her recently, and said Derek and their kids were there. I dont think he played with her, but he was there.

  • Shivers down my spine..

  • I love this song...and Sue sells it...she is so awesome.....and the piano is great....this is music at its best

  • she is the shit!

  • Wow... Derek Trucks is a lucky man

  • Oh, how sweet! Susan's voice is

    sultry, bluesy, soulful. Love this.

    Great video!

  • Holy crap that guy can play the shit out of a piano!!

Anyone know what his name is?

  • I agree !

  • LoL!!!

    Jason Crosby

She says so at the very end of the video. ;-)

  • Sing it baby...

There is no denying; Susan is your god/Goddess.

  • Comment removed

  • My old friend Felix Reyes wrote this tune... Turned Sue onto it while on the road with her in the "just won't burn" days.. Nice to hear it again...

  • Telecasters are sexy and she is amazing.

  • you're an idiot

  • I would say it nicer but I agree, why not leave the lead guitar to someone who can really pull off a slow blues solo. God knows lead guitar players are a dime a million. She rocks as a singer though.

  • @dnnsks

I liked that guitar solo because it has character.

    It's got a uniqueness in it's simplicity.

    Nice statement.

    More is not always better.

    Bill

  • susan is very talented, good vibes coming from her Jason cosby is fantastic too.

  • Love the voice and the looks!

  • Mrs. Trucks is so totally awesome...I especially love it when she performs with her husband as they compliment each other like.......all of us hope God would do for each of us

  • My last Name is Tedeschi

  • This is Eye of the Eagle_1 on Paltalk Susan. You are Amazing. Just great--ty for the Pm. Lots of ***** God Bless.

    Carl

  • THE WOMAN IS AWESOME!!

  • whose on keys solo?

  • i don't remember but i've seen him before when he was younger as a session player/wunderkind. The kid can play!

  • Jason Crosby! plays with Robert Randolph, Blind Boys of Alabama, used to play with Oteil and The Peacemakers. He's one of the best...great guy too.

  • Wierd guitar solo - great voice.

  • wow, that's talent!

  • wow... shes really good i cant believe i havent heard her before! amazing voice, i love when she does the joplin growl at the top of her register, yet she has such a pure and powerful soul voice. and beautiful too. she has one more fan :-)

  • id marry her, perfect sense of music, good singer, my wife lol

  • Derek beat ya.

  • Rockin' singer.

    Nice lady!

And Derek Trucks is no slouch.

    Itzik Basman

  • Saw her in boston. AMAZING the 12th time I ve seen her and she gets better every time

  • what an amazing voice!! she is definately better live

  • SUSAN TEDESCHI: Fantastic VOICE, fantastic SINGER, fantastic GUITAR PLAYER !! (And... beautiful woman!!!).

  • All of the above.

  • How magical it must have been to be there in the front row! I love watching this woman perform more than almost anything, but I haven't been able to see her in person (yet). Kinda funny after singing in such a soulful voice she comes on the mic saying 'Thank You' and it sounds almost like a college girl :)

  • That's pretty funny. I listened to the very end and you're right! Her very soulful voice is transformed into this different innocent "thank you" voice. Very funny! But I LOVE Susan's music. I could listen to her all day long. Great stuff.

  • I don't "think" I'm falling in love with Ms. T...I've been in love with her soulful music for YEARS now. Truly a goddess of heart and deep soul..not to mention, she makes love to an electric guitar like no other woman on this planet! Humble request, if y'all (anyone) get a chance, please post a CLEAN CUT version video of one my faves of hers..."Follow". Thanks much! ;)

  • Bonnie Raitt, step aside! (just kidding Bonnie, we love you!)

  • Now I wanna buy a Telecaster, and play that good too. I think I am falling in love with S.T.!!!!

  • I love her

  • nO LA CONOCIA PERO ES BUENISIMA, DESDE ESPAÑA BESOS Y AMOR *FUCA TERUEL*

  • this is good but i REALLY wanna find a youtube clip of her doing "Dont Think Twice" at this show, can't find it tho...its an amazing version of the classic Dylan song!

  • Seek and ye shall find.

  • i tried and i can't find it.

  • gvbezoff posted it.

  • Why do you all have to compare? Is she as good as Bonnie? Look, Bonnie's great. Susan's great. That should be enough. They have different styles. Enjoy them both.

  • She's as good....... in a different way. I have seen her live several times........... awesome!!

  • I agree. That was my point. They're both fabulous, just different -- they don't need to be compared, just enjoyede.

  • Smokin'...

  • No wonder Derek married her...even if she is 9 years older...hell I would have too!

  • To theriffer- Derek's HOT too, but faithful, I bet. Maybe the time away from each other on the road might keep their marriage really fresh, as it seems they got time away enough just to keep things interesting. If they ever part & he still likes older women, I'll be waiting-- that is if John Frusciante isn't there first! Oh, to dream about impossible things! Look for streaming video from the i-net archive from their Soul Stew Revival 2007 in The Tent at Bonaroo!

  • I love this woman. I would marry her if I weren't already married and she wasn't already married and I wasn't old enough to be her father. Damn.

  • WOW she's too much, amazing keys too.

  • You are fantastic!! If you are ever in town in Providence, RI Look us up at 220 Camp Street. We had many famous artist play with us (Salvation 220)ask for David (401) 751-1845.

    God Bless You

    Salvation 220

  • I like this chick. I am surprised I have never heard of her. What the hell have I been missing?!

  • But now you can enjoy playing catch up.

She's the best. Buy her music.

  • This girl is right up there with Bonnie Raitt!

  • This girl is right up there with Bonnie Raitt!

  • damn!!!!!

  • I first saw her opening for Jeff Beck and she impressed me big time. She's become one of my favorite female vocalists. I'd love to hear a duet with her and Paul Rogers!

  • She is fantastic , soulfull voice and plays that Fender Telecaster beautifully. Just a note on the upper bout thats BB King's signature

  • Man this gal is talented! She sounds a lot like Bonnie Raitt

  • I agree with you. She definitely sounds like another Bonnie Raitt. Love it!

  • hmmm.... bonnie raitt plays slide. bonnie is still better in that category.

  • ...

  • Bonnie no es tan blusera como Susan...

Tocando la guitarra tal vez sea mejor, pero es mas comercial...

  • Who gives a shit? You really can't compare the two and you really shouldn't since they are both great in their way...

  • Agreed!

  • She's pretty bluesy...Good shit man, thanks for the upload.

  • Susan tedeshi such a great feel for some soulful blues.

  • my bike matches her guitar =)

  • Hey, mine too!

  • alright... I'll join in... I grew up in MA and spent a lot of time at Boston clubs in the early/mid 90's. I remember when she announced she got a record deal... saw her play small clubs a bunch of times - got to say hello... class act and, well, quite a voice ;0) God bless.

  • Susan is more than fantastic, but when you want to go into the fast lane of women with guitar ? Check out "Ana Popovic" you'll not believe what you see and hear. Ana is the "resurrection" of Elmore James and definitely the "Queen of Slide".

  • I agree. I'm an old SRV fanatic and I love Ana Popovic, she don't mess around too much with the slow, easy listening stuff, she rocks the blues the way I like it and gets down on that guitar.

  • saw Susan years ago in Houston's Arena Theatre, in the round. She opened for Dr.John, Buddy Guy and B.B.King. She came out onstage looking all quiet and demure, sky blue sun dress and said hi in her small talking voice, hit the guitar and open her mouth and just wailed!! Blew me away! Dr.John came out onstage next and he just said that's the last time I ever follow that young lady!! She dang near stole the show!! Love you Susan!

  • her soloing could be better but she's awesome nonetheless

  • I saw her in person at the "Mint" in LA/Hollywood about 8yrs ago

and I can still say that was one of the best

performance's I have ever seen!!. If you ever get

a chance, go see her, she will be a legend

    of our Time .

  • Warmest & most soulful blues voice of her generation

  • Susan is a Queen!!!!!the First Time I Saw her Live, I Had Goosebumps!!!!!God Bless Her and all the BluesLegends!!!!!Long Live The Blues!!!!!!!

  • Very similiar to Bonnie Rait but brilliant..5*

  • Ahhhhh... REAL music! It reassures me that we're not going crazy. I was starting to think that music was dead upon hearing "Crank That" by Soulja Boy or whatever the heck it's called.

  • Susan one of theeeeeeeeeeeeeee best if not heeeeeeeeeeeeee best, put Susan and her husband Derek Trucks jamming, LOOKOUT dammmmmmmmmmmmm.

  • she's married to derek trucks?? wow...

  • ahh i love how the piano comes in after the guitar solo.

  • what is the name of this song please ? :)

  • "Wait for me" is the name of the song

  • Susan Tedeschi- A much more refined Janis Joplin....what a magnificent voice. Pure soul!

  • Bonnie R. Junior. Pretty good Blues guitar player. I'l give her another 3plus years to catch up.

  • Susaaaaaaaan!!

  • Also Kelly Richey and Teresa Russell are two of the top blues guitarists male or female. They both front their own bands.

  • Wow, impressive.

  • She's pretty good. Her and Bonnie Raitt are the only two white gals I can think of who do the Blues. Say, if y'all like this, check out Tracy Chapman with "One Reason to Stay."

  • Don't forget Alice... Alice Stuart, pretty much blazed the trail for Susan and Bonnie, and Alice is still out there playing... all three ladies definitely raise the bar for their African American female counterparts, who have been conspicuously absent from the blues scene for years.

  • love me some susan...she is amazing!

  • Pretty bad.....even for a white girl...

  • Easy answer. Buy the first two, BETTER DAYS and the amazing JUST WON'T BURN. She got a taste of fame afterwards and producers have taken the Tedeschi out of her music. Crying damn shame.

  • I love Susan but guys don't forget Bonnie is an awesome guitar player.

    Love Susan, always!!!

  • She is so amazing and soulful.
