I can't believe how people keep harping about the instrumentation on the new record. Obviously you must not really have felt the sweet strain of a steel guitar tugging on your heart. Even AD likes the instruments.

FINALLY

i have been waiting for a solo version of this ever since she debuted it in New York last year. The album's over-production really ruins it, though I remember the live version being even better than this. Maybe she changed it since then.

I personally think her new album is excellent and the inclusion of drums on certain tracks like white as dimonds really improves the song not that im saying it was rubbish to start with :-)
