Does anyone have SVT?? I have lived with it my whole life... and I have had my heart race up to 225+ bpm... should i get it checked out?? for like scar tissue or something??
i tried adderall today and about 2 1/2 hours into it out of nowhere i got tachycardia...it was pounding fast out of my chest and stomach..scared the shit out of me, will not do adderall again
Did you notice that if you sat down still the tachycardia goes away within 2-5 secs? and as soon as you engaged in physical activity it get's back in no time.
@infonotfound no i sat still and tried deep slow breathing, but it didn't go away for 15-20 mins. for the rest of the night it still beat pretty fast.
I have that, but usually heart goes in normal rate most of the time. But with mitral valve prolapse that i also have it's sometimes a REALLY painful thing. I have no idea what is that, but sometimes i can't take a normal deep breath, when i try to, i suffer from horrible pain, it's like something pushing my heart or it's not enough space. I have to breath really accurately or... Actually, that stopped happening months ago, but still. I only have these two hear diseases. Any ideas?
@cheremenin That's what happens to me. I also have tachycardia and mitral valve prolapse (one of the valves on the left side of the heart does not close when the heart tries to pump blood to the body so the blood leaks back into the heart). It is very painful. I am not on any medication since I have no insurance. You are definitely not alone in this.
@mlkirkl09 Thanks for the quick response. Despite i haven't suffered that for a months, pretty sure more than half of a year, i think i should still visit doctor about that.
@majesticvoid2 Dude Sit down and Relax as much as possible dont panic or anything. Follow this. Tighten your stomage - Like Squeeze your Tummy- But do this when your complettely Relax It stops it. I've Had tachycardia for 3 years. and im 15. I Havnt had p.e either. When it happend again Just Tell the doctor or emergency. Thats how i found out that i have. I Hope this Help you.

Just wanna say how happy I am today 1 year after getting the ablation. My tachycardia was getting pretty severe towards the end...220+ BPM for two hours or more. My cardiologist would often tell me that my condition was not life threatening because I was active/young but GOD I always felt like there was a decent chance I could die when it happened!!!
I've had a very serious case of POTS for the last six years and I think I finally figured out the cause in my case. It was processed sugar. I quit ALL processed sugar and now I have a perfect 56 heart beat and I feel great. Believe me I tried everything without success until I finally removed all processed sugar and for the last seven days I've held out at 56 HBs per minute. Hopefully this will last. I'm confident this time that it will. Good luck to you.
I was just diagnosed with this today. They put me on Diltiazem HCL 120mg to slow the heart down. I'm going back in a day for an ultrasound on my heart. 28 Male
@4chango I had 2 extra nerves in my right atrium that were interfering with my natural electrical system. The cardiologist zapped those, but there might be new nerves growing where they shouldn't be.
@droidekabakugan1986: It is not that they were interfering with the conduction, but rather attempting to reestablish or compensate for the lost of the original SA to AV pathway. Unfortunately no matter how many times the surgeon cuts them the heart knows what it needs and if the nerves that were cut were needed – then guess what the heart will continue to re-grow them; that is unless the surgeon damage the area. Then in this case they will grow else where. What was the diagnosis?

Tachycardia can be caused by mutations in the Ryanodine Receptor. Have a look at youtube.com/watch?v=F6Kmz3-cZMo

I had this in 05 and got a catheter ablation to cure it. Don't worry it's painless.

Do you even know that anyone can die with Tachycardia?!?It can cause a heart attack known as Myocardial infarction!!!!
And yes,Miley Cyrus does suffer from this ASSHOLE SHIT!!!!

I'm aware of that. I meant the surgery was painless. BTW, I hate Miley Cyrus, just thought it was a interesting fact.
Also, I had Supraventricular tachycardia, which is worse. so calm down, I know you can die from it.
