i grew up here there and everywhere along these roads,,,born in highland park, moved to hubbard woods,,1294 asbury,,went to sacred heart,,57-65..then moved to mailbu damn it... miss the whole scene of life back there. anyone know pete hurley,,or kathy ricketts..dave murtaugh...mike olsen? those were the days,,oh yes they were. i remember when the beatles came out...i said to friends,,they wouldn't last... i was more into the Kinks or the Stones. oh well,,,
I've been on that drive many times myself. Nice to be able to see it online now that I live in CA. Absolutely great part of the world to have been raised in. So many active people came from there.
I went to boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Base in 1995 which is on Sheridan Rd. north of this area. Its a very nice area but alittle too rich for my blood.
I've made that cruise a million times, but I usually ended it at Tower road beach rather than start from there. For those of you who slam Highwood, it's a working class town unlike the rest of the towns mentioned. I liked Highwood better before all the rich assholes made it a cafe town. It was a fun place to live 30 years ago.
I grew up in HP, used to make this drive all the time, and there are some monster houses even that far north. Lake forest is where you really want to go on Sheridan Rd, besides the ravines which were included in this vid.
Highwood used to be a dump, and until recently had the most bars per square mile of any city in the US. Now it's just a gathering place for rich pompous jackasses from anywhere else to spend too much money on dining and show off their exotic cars.
You should have angled the camera at the fabulous homes on the east side of Sheridan Road. Also you should have done Evanston, Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, and Glencoe. Highland Park is not very impressive and Highwood is a dump.
Please go at least 32 on this road. Whenever I see some fool going 25mph, I tailgate them hard until I get a chance to pass.

Lol Highland Park and Highwood is better than the ghetto places you named.

Kenilworth tied as the richest zipcode in 2005 and 2006, you're wrong. Highland Park is decent, but overpriced, Highwood is a dump.
