Inky--you, sir, are a DOLT. These were a bunch of young guys having a great time, enjoying themselves and trying to share their good time with others. The caveman gimmick was typical of the times, if you know anything about the '60's. All but one of the band is still alive and well, and most are still playing music in one form or another. I know, because I am married to the keyboard player, and we are still in touch with the drummer to this day.

i grew up in the 60s and am a huge fan of music and culture from this time. Just because you are related to them doesn't mean they don't look like idiots. "The Mike Douglas Show" was a late-afternoon talk show aimed at housewives and other mainstream people; it sounds like the live audience watching the Cavemen isn't sure how to react to them. But other than their caveman costumes, they're pretty much like a lot of other rock bands of the time.
