I'm an American and I went to India last year. I'll be going again this year. I loved it. The people there are so hospitable and fun-loving. The cows don't bother anybody and just kind of chill wherever they want to. People give them their leftovers from dinner the night before and they stay pretty well taken care of. It's different there...that's for sure, but it's cool.

Actually, I am his wife and I am American. The truth is...my husband hates India and I probably enjoy his country more than him. Don't assume things based on somebody's screen name. As far as people giving their leftovers to the roaming cows, it is a generalization. There are many people who make extra rotis for them and feed them before themselves. India has a lot of poverty and that could be why many people are only able to spare leftovers. It is a good question though.
