Breastfeeding should be done in private only. If you need to feed in public, have the class to put your teat milk in a bottle. C'mon ladies, lets class it up a notch.

If my daughter is lacking in iron or b12 my milk will make it for her, if someone else child drinks my milk it could so harm as i may have more iron and that child already has higher iron etc.its just common knowlegde! Communal breast feeding is very natural and has been practised for hundreds of thousands of years. Breast milk is much more beneficial to babies than anything else. I think that this western concept of an exclusive breast feeding bond between mother and child is quite selfish actually, although I can understand it. It would be easier practically for mothers and better health wise for the babies if this hang-up didn't exist.

If I was in a third world country with starving babies, and I was still lactating but my own child was weaned off, I would breastfeed as many babies as possible, especially with the biological mother's permission of course.
breastfeeding is not an entirely, or even partially, intimate act. if it were, you wouldn't do it publicly. what we think of as being intimate we think of as being private, right?
i think it is a good thing to do. Because sometime people are unable to produce their own milk but still want their baby to get all the benefits of breastfeeding. I would breastfeed for one of my friends if they needed it but i do not think i would be comfortable with someone else breastfeeding my baby.

I do know a lesbian couple, both of whom had babies, two years apart, by the same donor. The two-year old is still breastfeeding, and the other child was just born, by the other mother, so the first mother is tandem nursing. Make sense?

than for a newborn so not sure how that wd work out, a mother each seems the ideal.
