The song composition is there but it feels as if it happened hand in hand, in intimate connection with the composer's feelings. Nothing added or taken out. That is why on certain parts, the song transmits some of those feelings so directly and with such fidelity.
@ErrorAlex she's pouring more emotion into it, plus its raw audio. Just like with glamor models, the studio will polish it up and add various filters (and on that note, H&M for example uses CGI models that they just change the skin color on and put a models' head on), I like the live acoustic version better because as I said: it's raw and unedited. She can actually sing, not like most stars these days who need one of those auto-tuner things and other filters to let them hit a note.

I love her voice way too much! But I do think that she needs more ad lib parts. It's lovely that she sings so much like the album (and better), but it's the things that aren't on the album that makes live performances special. Just like Jason Mraz's scatting, or Nirvana changin the lyrics to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' every now and then.

I've probably heard the radio version of this song many times and never gave it a second thought. Having said that now that I've heard it live with out all the autotune crap it has some soul to it. Too many songs are ruined by over prosessing, we need more raw music with some actual talent backing it.

I love her voice way too much! But I do think that she needs more ad lib parts. It's lovely that she sings so much like the album (and better), but it's the things that aren't on the album that makes live performances special. Just like Jason Mraz's scatting, or Nirvana changin the lyrics to 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' every now and then.

I've probably heard the radio version of this song many times and never gave it a second thought. Having said that now that I've heard it live with out all the autotune crap it has some soul to it. Too many songs are ruined by over prosessing, we need more raw music with some actual talent backing it.

@tenz78 I don't know if it reminded me of evanescence exactly, but when I heard the song I could hear amy singing it! Maybe because christina is one of the few artists (like amy) who make you feel what they sing...It would be amazing if amy covered this at a concert!!! But anyway, christina is amazing aswell:)

the scratchy-ness isnt pleasnt to the ear and yet i love it cause its so heart felt and genuine and different from mainstream crap "artists" that need a studio and computers to make them sound better ex. taylor swift... love her on the radio and music videos but her live performances suck
