  • It will never be this hardcore ever again, everybody knows too much now

  • I love the crowds blatant disregard for their own safety. They don't give a fuck.

  • If you are still lost and or wandering in search of Punk, look within.

    On a similar note,

    v=TZt-pOc3moc

Here we are, come and get it.

  • looks like a bunch of mindless twats forgetting society is fucking them in the ass

  • @ashtweth you absolute moron

  • @slowpokecity sorry correct me the music industry makes fans they dont make real guerrilla people..thats why i am staring a new music genre, fuck the fans and jumping up and down id rather make a difference , sorry if you like the music but see the forest for the tree's have a good jump

  • @ashtweth this band made a difference and had more of an effect on american society (and the world) then you could ever dream to. "forgetting society is fucking them ass" is all these people could do. also "the music industry" has nothing to do with this genre, hardcore punk was and never will be profitable thus is useless to record companies. you have a lot to learn, i can already guess you're a rich kid who watched zeitgiest and thinks hes jesus. fuck off you know nothing about the world.

  • @slowpokecity its not all they could do, your a fool to believe that, and one your self get off your kneees and stop jumping up and down to the slave trade , there is a new music genre coming, one i am participating in, to quell the music industry and to not make fans like this, if you think that you are that be well

  • @ashtweth what genre is this? i wish you all the best of luck with it i really do, but there's no doubt you owe something directly or indirectly to hardcore, hip-hop,jazz or any one of these "rebel" genres. if it wasn't for them you wouldn't think of music as something you could even approach in the first place.

  • @slowpokecity A guerrilla genre that does not participate in the music industry, it s also does activism and fans that listen actually partake in the activities, its new, no more details yet, i can appreciate their talent, but their influence to me is non existent, i came from earlier punk later harder like Amibex, before Amibex Bathory, and other earlier punk bands with the lyrics being more dense and thought provoking, 2 me the music is the sounds, lyrics AND THEMES. I knw U enjoy their music

  • i feel sorry for the guy in the white t-shirt at 0:18 ;)

  • fucking racket.

  • (FYI, for those unable to search beyond YouTube, a "fag" is British slang for cigarette. Check the original by Wire, equally awesome.)

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    smoking a fag

    kissing a man

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man yeah

  • looks soo fun

  • Don't you guys ever get tired of proving exactly why this scene died? Let's argue whether it's "punk" or "hardcore." Let's call things "gay." Let's debate "moshing,"" thrashing," "slamming" and "two-stepping." Let's misunderstand the lyrics and the intention to the point of sounding utterly moronic.

    RIP Good Old Days.

    Now let's move on.

  • agree

it's everywere on youtube and i'm sick off it

  • @ERaddock Meh, Ignore them, it only died in your heart.

Punk is alive and well in me, like that grain of sand in the never ending story. It is up to me to show you, that is still there.

  • So gay how everyone calls slam dancing, two stepping, fucking faggets!

  • Eh... who cares what it's called

    It's fucking awesome in general!

    =P

  • is it me, or could everyone two step back then. haha. its funny cause everyone sucks now

  • Haha!

    Agreed!

    XD

All people do nowadays is run into people and look like idiots

  • It's such a shame that I'll never see shows like that. I got stuck with the tough guy bullshit crowds.

  • @ick9192 No you didn't. There is always music out there like this. Just gotta look for it.

  • this is FUN

  • whats with everybody thinking its a gay song???? thats GAY!

  • 12xu, splitsecond, crowd explodes in excitment, wish i could have been there

  • I doubt Ian would say kill the faggot but in the wire song

It's Saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    saw you in a mag

    kissing a man

    kissing a man yeah

  • alright ... am i the only one that thinks he definitely says "kill that faggot" at the end of every verse.. i know ian mackeye was against violence against homosexuals and he wrote sorta sarcastic lyrics...

  • it's a WIRE song and it says "kissing a faggot"

  • ahh.. makes sense.. i know it was a cover from an older group.. i just didnt know what one... thanks

  • there is a line in the song "smoking a fag" (british slang for cigarette) but the line at the end of each verse is "kissing a man, GO"

  • @RandyRejekt

agreed. it's about homophobia and censorship mostly. mackaye is against homophobia. Look at Look back and laugh. Seen in a popular way, it's about two friends who grow apart. In the sense of the "friendship song." it's about two men in a sexual relationship who move apart (for some unknown reason..possibly because somebody found out about the relationship).

  • @RandyRejekt Almost. Saw you in a mag, kissing a man, saw you in a mag, smoking a fag. But definitely not anti-queer lyrics.

  • @RandyRejekt In every verse the lyrics say "smoking a fag," like a cigarette, but at the end of every verse it says "kissing a man, yeah"

  • @RJN88420 Actually, the lyrics are "Saw you in a mag / Kissing a man / Smoking a fag / Kissing a man". WIRE is a british punk band from the 70s, and "fag" is British slang for "cigarette". So, actually he's just saying "I saw you in a magazine smoking a cigarette". Also, "who" the person is in the song is never stated. It could be a woman kissing a man, but even if it were man kissing a man, the lyrics still wouldn't be homophobic.

  • @RJN88420 @RandyRejekt - It's a WIRE song by Colin Newman and Colin sang: "Saw you in a mag, kissing a man... Smoking a fag, kissing a man. Saw you in a mag, kissing a fag." Translation to American English = "I saw a photograph of you in a magazine smoking a cigarette and kissing a man. Smoking a cigarette, kissing a man. I saw you in a magazine kissing a cigarette."

  • Beautiful!! I wish could be there

  • on the one hand, i gotta give it that they tried to bring wire to the kids, but on the other hand this is a fucking travesty.

  • I'm a fairly big fan of Wire's Pink Flag, and I think this is a grand cover. So much raw energy. That's just my two cents, though.

  • pink flag is a great album. my favorite songs are 12xu and mannequin

  • eeeer.... It's fucking Wire song!!@!

"Saw you in a van kissing a man...Want TO EAT YOU!"

  • HarDCore:

No stage, no performers, no 4th Wall. The audience was the band was the audience. Total annihilation of the performance construct.

It's a shame it only lasted 2 years.

  • Because no hardcore ever happened again.

  • What only lasted 2 years? I hope you don't mean quality music coming out of DC.

  • Woo it looks lots of fun, they dont have school concerts like that these days.

    hehe :D

  • I just want to say that your all a bunch of drunk ol' bastards! steph

  • yeah, unfortunately :(

  • i was at that show. it was great...it was in a real bad section and the local gang "The Ghetto Riders" came to check it out and see if it was cool or not. Ian got hit by a car right in front of me and ran over and hung on me trying not to pass out...he was in some serious pain. went to the hospital and refused any medication (those straight edgers) and came and played a great set with puffy wounds on his head.

  • Nice reminiscence Phil. How weird to 'run into you' here.

  • get the fuck out of here, how did he get hit

  • It was wierd, It was right next to the club + Ian was doing something in thier tour van or something + it was just a normal scene + suddenly you heard crashes + this big ass car drives off + Ian comes my way and is hanging on me. It was a small street and I think some local must of been drunk and just rammed parked cars and Ian accidently. It was over so quick I dont think anyone really knows what happened. I thought Ian was seriously hurt...but he still played. Guess he really needed the $ LOL!

  • dude thats so insane. it seems like that cooincidence isnt possible..but it happened to you..so i gues it is possible haha

  • its alright, but the original is so much better

  • these guys are one of the best hardcore grupe in the world. You suck. Fucj you all

  • these guys are one of the best hardcore grupe in the world. You suck. Fucj you all

  • Shut up man!!! This is some great punk!

  • this is hardcore, not punk.

  • first of all, fuck you, you obviously have missed the point of hardcore and minor threat, and you would know hardcore if it fucking punched you in your fucking fat mouth, the point of hardcore was to be raw and take all that shit you wanted from punk and elevated it to a much higher level so before you run your mouth about shit you dont really know get your fucking facts straight! FUCK YOU!

  • This is old school HARDCORE punk moron. The bands you named are all great and they are all old school PUNK. learn your history. Not one of those bands you named are Hardcore. And you forgot WIRE.
