This is one of my favorite looks that you've done. So beautiful on you. All your blue shadow looks are gorgeous. I remember a makeup artist telling me that blue shadow was not invented for black women! I told him he was limited and crazy because I wore blue all the time and it looked great.

If only I could have shown him this, it would have blown him away. He was WRONG, for real!!!!!

I absolutely love it. I think I will attempt to replace MAC's Electric Eel with Loreal Hip's Animated and Deep Truth with one of the Coastal Scent blues or Loreal Hips Magnetic (happen to be a dark smokey eye junkie). For the inner corner I plan to use Loreal Hip's Sassy. Ladies if it rocks I will definite post it.

honestly it just depends on the colors, sometimes I use the color wheel for reference, but basically whenever I do something really colorful and dramatic I use a toned down natural looking blush, so that it doesn't take away from the eyes, make sense?

never heard of nor have I tried, but you really want to use a bright and really pigmented blue, I find that some drugstore eyeshadows are nice but as far as pigmentation they are lacking. but I guess you get what you pay for lol

I would do like a dark black/gray smokey eye, there's a tutorial for that up already!

since you're wearing red you don't want your makeup to clash with the dress, you don't necessarily have to wear silver either, I tend to stay away from silvers on my skin tone but they may look fab on you! so your safest bet is going with dark grays and black, make sure you smoke out the edges of your crease with a really soft flesh toned color to keep it from looking overblended, like Texture
