Ok i see exactly why he didn't win. He is a baritone, if not a bass. That's the first problem. Turn on your radio right now and tune to a pop station and wait for a guy song to come on. You hear that? He's a tenor. That's why this guy didn't win. And allllllll of his songs are underwhelming. He also lowers the key down to his range. Neal hit high notes on every song he sang. This Eli guy is cute and all, but a high note destroys cuteness, even in little girls [think there was one in AGT ]

@shakaama hes not a pop singer so that whole explanation doesnt make sense. he is a rock/soul-based singer, he would never play on a pop station. sure, he has a deep voice and wouldnt fit in with the high-pitched voices of justin bieber and neal boyd, but that isnt the reason why he isnt the winner. i dont know about other females but i prefer deep voices over high anyday.

My only issue with this guy is that all his songs sound dipressing. That is until this one, but that is only becuase he finally got some backup. Seriously, imagine his concerts! They will be hours of quiet, sad and dipressing songs. He needs to brighten up and play some fast fun and happy songs. So far he is just playing slow sad ones.
