@michelinov Well the M3 was catching up ... which indicate a poor launch. But then again the driver tend to be the main reason for winning/losing so similar matched cars. Granted I would expect the C63 beat a manual M3 though, but DCT should be pretty much identical. However if you do the engine upgrade (which I won't call tune, as it's factory), the C63 should have the edge ... I just wished BMW would do something similar ... or perhaps that's what they are planning with the 4.4L TT ...
in south africa an aftermarket tuned V10 M5 did a 11.9sec quarter mile and a performance pack FACTORY upgraded C63 did a 11.7sec quarter mile with a gearbox that was jumping gears. BMW has nothing to match even the baby c63 amg. suck on that BMW boys!

The AMG got a huge head start and never pulled apart from the M3 and costs tens of thousands more than an M3. I agree with Blaster... try going against an M5 and you'll be sein the blue and white Bavarian flag
Pretty even really - C63 got a much better launch and initial lead pretty much stayed the same. I have an M3 DCT and I've found that stock M3 DCT is very similar to C63 in a drag race, the C63 is perhaps slightly faster.

Actually, the M3 kept up. I think that's rather impressive. I would like to see a professional test head to head with the M3's DCT.
Also, the AMG doesn't keep up in the bends.

Winning one category does not make C63 better sports car. It will always be in the shadow of M3.
