I bought this game a couple of months ago but barely started playing it yesterday ortoday at around 3 am, I played till 10 am, this game is badass man I did not want to go to sleep. I was a little scared, I did not know what was waiting for me in every hole, cornes, tree trunk. It really helps you reflect on how wild like really is. Every where you go something wants to fight you, eat you, bigger things smaller things. Such a lonely violent life tarantulas and scorpions have. That's the horror.

My dream game would be to play as a lion and form your own pride and roam the Savannah and environments and having to hunt for food and deciding to feed your cubs or keep yourself alive in desperate moments. Also if you could choose to play as a zebra or a number of other creatures (crocodile, bird of prey, snake etc.) and just survive... If you mixed that with the unreal engine and make lions attacking and lunging realistic it would be great, But I guess the RSPCA and stuff would protest...

Yeah, well Silent Hill has been done to death since 1999. Anything "wierd" (it's spelled weird) about it has long-worn. Let's just say that this game is more "unique" than Silent Hill. Its concept is more unique. Which got its start in 1999 as a survival horror game trying to capitalize on the success of Resident Evil, and was very much in the same spirit with its camera angels and cinematic presentation. But with a more 'psychological' storyline straight out of a David Lynch film.

1. It's just as common to see scorpions living their lives [killing, feeding, moving, etc] as it is to fight inner demons.

2. Despite Silent Hill being symbollic of a rather common factor of everyday life - you can't deny that its interpretation of the said action is fairly weird to say the very least.

3. Scorpions fighting spiders is obviously less wierd [and therefore more natural] than the concept of Silent Hill, and that which lurks within.

It's not that the Wii can't do graphically well, it's that unfortunately most 3rd party developers either don't push the Wii to it's capabilities or are just make cheap cash-ins. I say wait for the new Zelda (the first one was just a Gamecube port), the new Metroid and Mario look good too, but knowing Nintendo they'll probably try to make Zelda superior in the graphics department.

Well from the sound of it Microsoft isn't being as relaxed as they would have liked, and they supposedly have tighter schedules now (I personally didn't like NaB, it seemed sloppy to me) still Nintendo would be a lot better off with them, but I don't know what would be best for Rare.

BTW if I recall there has been a project announced that they are making that actually isn't in conjunction with Microsoft, I wonder what it could be...

rare isn't what its used to be, as soon as Nintendo sold them to Microsoft they started making AA games instead of their usual AAA they made with Nintendo , banjo kazooie and tooie , perfect dark and golden eye.

the thing is Nintendo helped them back then, but now as they are with Microsoft they aren't what they used to be, they still make good games, but not as great.

meanwhile Nintendo has retro studios, which made the metroid prime series, all 3 excellent games

I have the game. It's good. But it's not that awesome as the guy says here. It's just a normal pretty good game. And the bugs are terrible! I hade to start the game all over again one time just because a cutscene disapered so I couldn't go further.
