  • priceless experience that one

  • The gorilla was thinking: "What an odd species. I must remember to try to teach them some manners."

  • Poor mum gorilla! Her babys a window licker! Dad prolly ran off and abandoned them when he found out!

  • Great footage and close ups...he was probably looking at your watch thinking..."I haven't seen THAT since 1980..."

  • That was so cute!! Very interesting!!

  • @ericaj58 i know ..it makes you wanna go in there and interact with them

  • Why are you showing it a video cassette?

  • When I saw the title I gueseed it would be a test with a coloured spot on the face.

    (Mirror test).

  • Thanks for the documentation.

But it must be very boring in this cage.

  • yeah, i don't get the watch thing... it looked like he was just watching you tap your fingers.

  • its a shame what people do for their own amusement and money.

us humans are selfish and we only care about our own happyness, not about beautiful animals such as gorillas. they all deserve to be free.

  • In their native Africa, so they can be killed by poachers? The Gorilla Foundation is building a preserve in Hawai'i, much safer, and certainly better than a zoo.

  • Do you eat meat?

  • @HordeAreMyFatCousins We humans are selfish. But look closer at say chimps.

The very emotions we have they have too. Even the bad ones. Many primate societies are based on bullying. The biggest makes the rules, fear and wisdom keeps subjects in line. But of course humans have found new ways to inflict fear, like religion.

Would it be different if any other creature dominated? Probably not.

  • The question is.Who is watching who?

  • jus sad how small the area is

  • cute and sad at the same time.

  • maybe it's time to accept a status "to close to me to be animal but not close enough to be like me" ??? Just find a word for it and the people may understand...

  • Surely they are not human,- but are they really animals ? Maybe there is something between human and animal that we didn't realize because we use to divide the world in "me" and "not me".

  • Aren't humans animals too? ^^

  • yes, humans are animals too. were mammals and a sub-set of apes.

  • @bittmannpiano

Humans are an animal species. In fact you are a primate, mate.

  • Nice video! Apes are my favorite animals. Someone can look at them and see our own past as species. Thank you for sharing this :)

  • My absolute favorite animals, gorgeous, thank you for posting this.

  • Wow, thats beautiful.

  • Excellent vid. Oh...and nice calculator watch!

  • Democracy=Chimpocracy=Anarchy=FreeSpeech=FreeSex

    Dictatorship=Gorillism=Obidience=Harems

  • He is awesome!!

Very cute. i am falling in love with Gorillas...

  • No way he recognized himself. Not even human babies recognize themselves til they get to be toddlers or so. Some adult chimps do (presumably if they're exposed to mirrors often), I know Koko the gorilla did, bottlenose dolphins do and there's even a story about an Asian elephant that recognized itself.

  • I wonder what's on their mind as they look back.

  • how much did that sony camera cost u?

    lol

  • Cool!

  • thank you!

  • nice
