I presume your are talking of Park Hall, at the top of Park Hill Road. Allegedly Churchill stayed there, as well as Monty. It is conveniently close to to the bottom of the chalk scarp, where evidence exists of 'Montys Caves'. I have been in both the house, and part of the caves (at least what you could get in to) in the late 1970's.
