I agree with the whole sentiment of this video that you can turn your life around, but you don't "choose" to be clinically depressed. Major depression is a medical condition caused by lack of sertonin in the brain. No one chooses to lack serotonin. But you can choose to get help. According to the CDC, 50% of Americans will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime (the most common being depression). It's time to take away the stigma.

So one time, there was this fat girl who was tormented by this group of seven guys for three years, told her parents about it, was told that she shouldn't let the boys bother her, begged to see a therapist because she wanted to kill herself, was told that she was just frustrated, attempted to kill herself five times without success, found out she had bipolar disorder and anxiety issues three years later, and never spoke to her parents again. I tried to commit suicide once to end the bullying I was going through so I jumped off a building, next thing I knew, I was sitting and talking with a guy on that roof who had stopped me and somehow, by the way everything around felt, the way he talked, the way he knew everything, he was God. My entire life changed that day, I found out that the next day I was moving away and God had told me exactly what he wants with my life and where I am going.

death is a part of life and vice versa .those, like the guy who pulled the trigger, wanted to suicide but started breathing an hour later. in my mind i see it as although he claim he cant live without his girlfriend in reality he didnt want to go, he wanted to remain for as long as possible. and for the guy who fractured his bone. he just gave in because he deemed himself useless and no one would care when he went far away. dont take life for granted and dont joke about death either.

I believe that Suicide is a selfish and cowardice way to get away from it all. I had a friend, He was going through the whole Highschool stress, things weren't looking good for him, his grades were dropping, his family was falling apart, His overall life was going through a dark metamorphesis. It got so bad to the point where the pain built inside him and rotted his mind away to the point he just killed himself. He had talent, but he threw it away because he wanted to run away from his problems.

Its been a few months now, but when I lost him, and the things he said to me, I felt worthless, undeserving of happiness, all the confidence and respect and positive feelings I had about myself was gone. He made me feel, soooo horrible about myself, and that "no one would ever want me and why would they, because of this, and that." He called me horrible names and anything else he could pull out of his ass to shit on me.
