  • The video playing in this song is possible one of the most disturbing, saddening and moving videos I think Ive seen. I also think it compliments the song perfectly. At first I was somewhat shocked and sickened by it, but as I thought it over I became more moved by it. It shows what hurt really is. It shows what really happens out there in the world. And after viewing this video you can see that Trent can be a very sensitive and deep person.

  • @crimsonmoon1985: I think the sickening feeling is exactly the right feeling. Things don’t always have to feel good. That’s only the fake plastic American facade. In reality, we all have our sad and our horrible times. And in these, we need sad and horrible stuff to go with it. Not the nightmarish horror show of a happy Barney the dinosaur and care bear dancing circles with fake grins and overly cheerful singing children.

Sometimes, my friend… sometimes we need this.

  • I love this song

  • Beautiful song

  • Most of you people are idiots -.-

Just shut the hell up and listen

  • fantastic

  • heard Johnny's version first- he sings of pain from decades, Nine Inch sings of pain that ain't over yet..depends on your choice of tune. World/Man's pain?? those are just VIDEOS/PICTURES.........................,

  • what the fuck do you know .... johnny cash covered not only reznor song he covered hundred of rock , blues , country , and others - not to say he stole them !

johnny cash is not your fucking rock n roll god - he even stole "rock island line "and ""on monday" by leadbelly - what the fuck ?????

  • im sick of hearing people piss and moan over which version is better they're both good. reznor and cash are and were great musicians lets just be glad that we have been blessed with their awesome music which has changed music for the better. end of story.

  • @figs1984 THEY will try and tell you Trent Reznor wrote this song. THEY will tell you, RIck Rubin suggested Johnny Cash "cover" the song, and after some apprehension, Trent Reznor eventually decided that he was "honored" to have Cash cover "his" song. Both men's albums give the writer's credit to Trent. And Wikipedia says the same. but... IT'S ALL BULLSHIT! JOHNNY CASH WROTE THIS SONG. I have proof to this fact on my channel. TRENT REZNOR STOLE HURT FROM JC!!! I have sources.

  • @DeliveryManBoy You have no proof. You have bullshit. Fuck off. It's Reznor's Song, and just because you don't wanna believe it doesn't mean you have to be a cunt to the people who are trying to enjoy either brilliant, talented and powerful artists.

  • @DeliveryManBoy lol, you're a muppet, go away.

  • @XtargX I disagree, I like both version and have thought about how both sound.

NIN - Feels more about mankind asking "what have I become". It's meaning is far deeper then self. Most don't look at mankind as "1" unison thing so, the meaning is deeper and more sophisticated.

JC - I feel it's more about the self. It's a person asking "what have I become" when viewing their own life. The thing is, many people do this so they feel more related and understand it... it's a simplistic meaning.

  • @Oztar1 Have a look to my answer to kilenator, I continue the explaination, he's wondering what he has become because you live for the drug and the drug leads your life, leaving you uncapable of building anything. JC exactly knows what he's talking about and feel every words of the song cause he was a cocaine addict for most of his life, the drug made him a slave and destroyed him

  • i like the nin video better, it shows kinda the whole mankind and its gore and inhumanity, u see when he says "what have i become" it shows the world in ruins, u see plants and animals die. in johny cashs version its about fame hit u in the head and u stay alone in the end

  • @kilenator You need someone (like me, for example !...lol) to explain to you what the song is about : you must not have any problems with drugs to not get it, "I hurt myself today to see if I can feel, the needle tear a hole !..." he is talking about shooting up drugs, a addict knows that it is doing arm to himself when doing drugs but cannot help doing it, the drug release the pain and help the addict to feel alive, he's playing with hjs life but "everyone goes at the end" so why not ???

  • un himno

    un soundtrack

y al final todos realmente se me fueron

    NIN Rulez!

  • TRENT REZNOR VERSION IS THE BETTER!!! but I guess Johnny's version is more authentic...

  • who's to say who's version is better... everyone deals with the pain in their own way....

  • no no no no. you ar a f'''' country asshole. trent f...ing rule. you have no clue

  • Very nice backing tape! Doesn't exactly fit the song, but wow ... some pretty strong stuff there.

  • yo the man...many many thanks...it's the first time i can find this version since the real player downloader came out....THANK YOU
