These things shouldn't happen anymore because this is America. Its easy to get married when your adults. You dont need your parents permission. There are ways to be legally married. Just because you have a hmong wedding doesn't mean that your married. To me hmong wedding is just to show that your family approves, in the eye of the law it don't mean anything unless you have someone who can legally marry a couple.

but sometimes parents dont let their daughter/son with their lover because they love their children too much to see them get in a relationship that might not work. you guys have to admit that there are many young people that get marry and it doesnt turn out well. i've seen it happened that's why i can kinda understand the parents' side of the story. one of my in-laws got married and divorce at 16.

Great MV. We must make a difference in our time, let this not happen to anyone anymore. I know for a fact that the new generation have learn from numerous Hmong movies as these movies set example. For this, let's not repeat what our ancestor have done to each other. It was poor in the older day so parents choose and reject their childs love. I need to become a singer becuz these girls and guys are getting all the attention.
Recording an album can't be that difficult. All I need to do is find 9 or 10 songs that I like (Chinese, Thai, Lao or American) and put some Hmong lyrics into it.
I could become famous overnight and chicks will be all over me. And I'll just pray that the ppl who purchased my album don't know the original songs. Hahahaha (I'm thinking about it...SERIOUSLY)

Sometimes, running away fr the source of the problem can solve the problem. Example of that is when a son or daughter runs away to get married to his/her soul mate inorder to get out of a horrible situation such as this. Sometimes, confronting a problem is the better option. Certain times, one needs to run away to get away fr a problem. There're many ways to skin a cat. Each situation is unique & each person will react differently. I would run in this case. Love at any cost.

I agreed with those who that complain about copying someone's song. But I want to say something... THE THING IS THAT WE HMONG PEOPLE DON'T DESERVE THE ORIGINAL SONGS, BECAUSE MOST OF US DON'T BUY CD AND DVD WE just copy and BURN FROM FRIENDS. Plus Hmong population is too small we can't make a living by singing.
After college I can make $45,000 per year with benefits why should I spend too much time to write an original song.
