This is an awesome tutorial. The best I've seen so far on instructing PVC flute lovers on how to make their very own PVC flute. I especially like the fact that you laid out the exact fingering for the flute and its note name along with its dimensions. Perhaps you could do a video showing just what you did at 2:20 for other fundamental notes for 1/2 and 3/4 PVC inside diameters . That would be a timesaver for sooo many of us. I'm still learning theory. Bravo!!!
@Gershwinwoodcraft Your video makes it so simple though. I will admit I am now looking for places to get some bamboo, cedar, or other wood to try one out of wood. PVC is great! But I want to make more now. LOL
Thank you for posting this! I was looking for something completely unrelated and came across it, and I made a working flute in about 20 minutes! Still fine tuning it, and wasn't positive about the chimney, but it works. My sincere gratitude.

I wasn't quite sure just where the cork was to go. Either a hand drawn picture or a real close up of it where it belongs would help. . Esxcellant video I plan on making the PVC flute Tnanks for the information.
great tutorial! sounds like a really fun project to do. thanks!

Hole #4 is the same distance from #3 as #5 is from #6
On the 1/2 flute #4 will be at 6 5/8
On the 3/4 flute #4 will be at 8/1/4 Hope this helps

It is a personal choice. I alway keep that hole cover because of the style of playing I do.
