@SkylinesHD To let you know that YOU have green and the opposite way all red light, so the green blinking is for left turn only, when it stops (the blinking) red turns into green for the opposite traffic so you have to wait until the intersection clears in order to complete your left turn.
My cousin and his family lives on Long Island, near Huntington Station, been there couple of times, last time in 2006. No such traffic patterns in NYC?

But I guess since I been in Florida for basically most of my life im used to it, & its the same with you & Toronto. But my word of advice to you is Florida is nice but it isn't all what its cracked up to be. In my opinion I think that New Orleans is better than Miami (my opinion). But im willing to accept all the sacrifices with moving to Toronto & btw I love the snow.

And back to driving in TO: gridlock on a daily basis, in/out the city, mornings, afternoons, evenings, anytime during the week from 7am to 8pm, so get ready for lots of stop-and-go around here.
@401RoadWarrior England is beautiful! i don't get to drive much (University), but I was fortunate enough to find some time to drive to Scotland and Wales. Beautiful twisty roads. It only takes a couple of days and you get used to driving on the "wrong" side of the road. Police don't bother you much here and the speed on the roads is very lightly enforced :).
Cannot wait to be back and drive the GTA in the summer though!
