Knowing what type of evil you face is one step closer to winning the battle of the spirits. It is not so much going on the street and fighting but this more of inner struggle. So pacifism is not a pathology. Every person has power. I'll give a very good example next :

@fisherman1955 .. I's in Ottawa when Dalai Lama came to lecture in 1990. Part of his plan was to see government both here and in USA to press China to free Tibet.

These were hay days of pacific mutual fund investments and appeasing Chinese junta to exploit cheap labor. So no government official available for Mr. Lama !

Dalai Lama may be without his country but he's in a spiritual place in India; he used his powerful intention to show us current Chinese/USA relationship and economic situation.
