>Would there be a way for me to fix the problem manually like you've done with the screen in this video? I'm not sure if it's the actual z* key or the button underneath it that is broken. I cannot afford to lose all of my information that i have on this phone although I do have a lot of it on my computer. I cannot find the cable to hook it up to activesync, and I'm not sure that it would help even if I did. Any advice?
I've had a moto Q9h Global for a long time and I've had to send it off multiple times for repair but I love it. I use it for business and personal use and I am tired of having to bitch at Motorola for hours before they'll tell me to send the phone in and then them not really fix it when I get it back. I am having issues unlocking it. I've tried to do the hard reset and I've come to the conclusion that my z* key is defective because all of the other keys will make the screen light up and it wont>
The Q9h's LCD screen is different than the Q9c and Q9m's LCD screens... even the asembly is different, the clip to lock the data cable intot he motherboard is different, it's quite easier to work on the Q, Q9c and Q9m phones.
I have a couple of Q9h phones, one has a bad LCD screen, the other one has a bad USB port... When I switch the LCD screen to the phone with the good USB port, the phone boots up but the screen still doesn't come up... I make sure that the LCD screen ribbon seats perfect before locking the clip on top of it... Any ideas? ... am I missing something?
Are you sure they are both Q9H's? I am not 100% sure if the parts are compatible or not. If you followed the instructions, everything should be working. Maybe the screen is dead and you are just unaware of it. Thanks
Thanks very much!! Was hoping it was easier! Like just from the front - I'm too chicken to replace it myself :( Darn! Again THANKS for the quick reply! Great job!!
