Federer's game is so high maintenance he needs to progress through as many tournaments as possible. I think the lung infection really did hamper his performance at the end of the hard court and majority of clay court season.

Do what your comfortable with. Don't copy anyone. I tried to copy nadals forehand but found that a windsheild wiper works best for me as well as slicing. I tried serving like federer and found my OWN style of serving. Tennis is just a game, no need to get all worked up about it. Now if ur a pro than i can understand.

the funny thing about it is that i play so much better than before. after 1 1/2 years of copying i got past a point where i wouldn't have been able to switch my style. it would have been like trying to copy my old technique, so i kept on copying federer. my technique before also showed a lot of similarities to federer, so it was more like making adjustmenst instead of copying a whole other technique.

@Swordsman808 stop talking crap. clay requires a huge amount of skill! most of the players are not capable of learing how to slide properly on that surface. if you run too fast, you get problems with the timing, if you slide too long, you leave the court wide open. nadal is a genius, because he always has the perfect timing on that surface. so does federer if he plays good.

I have no idea what a small portion of choice members are commenting about here, but I would think that most people care about the video at hand.
Bagdhatis did everyone a favor through his win over Federer this match. Especially by winning the way he did, not by brute power, but by responding to each situation and constructing point patterns that would leave Federer in weaker positions and taking advantage of Rog's tendency to run around his backhand, Marcos showed there IS a way to beat Rog.

but federer was a little passive in trying to close out precedings, its gotta be said, but everything else, both players were playing at a high level. this match is great for both players. federer probly got a nice decent peice of practice from this, as its long and mentally challenging. a positive note for federer. just as good for baghdatis and this clearly shows hes back. he may have lost to robredo in the next round (because he played like 15 hours later after he beat fed), hes still on form
