  • ...I liked it.

  • It is a great idea.... but, isn't it a little hard to play? it's easier with a pedal switch. isn't it?

  • Hah! Just mastered it on my strat. Thanks for the idea. Very vibe-y and wah wah cool. I didn't have to buy a pedal or special knob.

  • It's not modified, it's just a different taper.

  • @hypolittleskittle07

    ***

it IS modified, i opened it up and altered the carbon on the contact. thanks for your guess, though.

  • You get much the same effect if you use a 500k pot, except it's in the last part of the travel. I believe that's how Danny Gatton ran his guitars.

  • @rud3m3chanical , that is possible, many amazing things can be done with pots. i use mine so much i wear them out!

  • cool !

  • sounds realy thin

  • QUA QUA QUA QUA QUA

  • Are you lefthanded!!!If this is true have to arrest you, because you're too cool(I'm lefthanded too!!!!)

  • The wah pedal gives more wah though, because of the double tone effect... However my guitar with doing that with the tone knob doesn't work :S

  • Much more reactive tone control .... nice ... I tried doing a wah with my Alembic Stanley Clark and Alembic had to send me a new tone control after a week .... I assume you don't use this wah function as much? Yer an innovator!

  • It sounds like a duck!

  • @Ralecaster You should hear a Strat!

  • nice tone man!

  • Roy used to do this on his old blackguard.

  • no, just a cts pot, modified internally to make the sweep occur in the first quarter turn. has a regular cap to ground (.o22?) but no inductor.

  • is it an inductor and a cap on the pot to achieve the effect ?

  • Telecasters fucking rule! fuck yah haters

  • dude...just get a wah pedal and free up your other hand lol.

  • true dat. i will take a bc rich warlock in bright pink any day

  • haha

  • @joegagan There's a BEAUTIFUL warlock at my school that was been sitting and collecting dust with no strings on it for over a month now!

  • I never liked how telecasters looked...

  • in other words they are seperate pedals

  • dude there's different types of pedals like super distortions and mega distortions wah wah pedal is one pedal on its own you get them all seperate xD

  • you have to pick SO close to the saddles to pull that off.. unless you have a freaky long pinky.. something that wont sound pleasant on a tele (imo)

  • only wah. the only one I know that does more is Slash's signature. it also a distortion pedal

  • This Telecaster Plus? (Lance Cut Pickup?)

  • if you read the main comment and your reply it is:

    1: cheese

    2:OOOOH!!!!!! i used that........

it looks like you use cheese for your guitar

  • but... my control switch is way down theeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere! T_T

  • u need long fingers

  • yeah... its a les paul... damn you control scheme!

  • i've an sg... same controls XD

  • pretty awesome

dont really like how much reverb though

  • nice tone but i hate telecasters

  • i do to man. so ugly to me.

  • i heard that

  • is that a toploader bridge?

    what year guitar is that?

  • hi

its a very good tip what tone pot do you have?

    it´s standart 250k???

  • telecasters have the best quality pickups

  • yes

  • yes

  • lol.

depends on what you wanna play.

metal = humbuckers (almost a MUST)

blues = whatever tickles your fancy

  • hard to used

  • yes. but the pickup used in the video is the bridge PU

  • is that a strat neck pickup?

  • uuu lefty

  • it just sounds like my normal tone pot when its closed....is that the right word?

  • yes, when turned all the way down ,it does sound like a regular tone control. the real trick is that with the super fast ramp up, it allows a wah sound with much less motion.

i believe it would be very hard to make it sound like this with a regular tone pot.

  • just a normal tone poti i think !

    try out ;)

  • this pot was internally modified to put the entire taper in the first 1/4 of rotation. requires a gentle touch with 400 grit sandpaper on the carbon trace.

  • nice!

What's the deal behind that pot?
