Lol my sister NEVER gets out of bed on time. So for her birthday we got her one of these she used it for the first time this morning and hated it lol it got her out of bed though ;)
Maybe I should own one like them. Lol. Sometimes I just push the button cancel on my phone when it rings and then i sleep again. but I dont think the poor clock will last forever. I think only after a minute first time its ringing. lol.
I want to take it apart and add a sensor so it doesn't just get stuck somewhere. Also a sensor to tell when a hand is approaching so it can start running again or I'll never get up. I've been known to set my alarm on top of 8 foot tall book shelves, only to sleep-climb them, shut it off, and go back to bed.
I just woke up now and Im awake but my body still hasnt found the energy to get dressed yet so im on here :( srsly, getting up when you dont want to but HAVE to is actually torture, i could cry lol
I'm a deep sleeper. I have a habit of sleeping through my alarm clock's alarm. So having it roll around on the floor would be a disadvantage, because I never get to hit the snooze button in the first place. Hehe.
You know? Also, you can put a regular alarm clock on the other side of the room and place a turd in the floor next to your bed, so you step on it when you wake to turn off the clock. be sure you'll wake up.
I think you missed my point - crawling under furniture is the problem. If I only need to get up and walk over to another location of the room to turn it off, fine - I don't need to be crawling under stuff to find the alarm clock.
Well, the bed shown is quite clutter-free, so it should go right to the other side. If there's more clutter, yeah, it can get stuck. Otherwise, it's just a waiting game. Or, there's the option of IGNORING it, shocking as it is. Just get up, grab what you need, walk out, shut the door, and don't worry about hearing it any more.
Actually this morning he did fall on his side once, but he kept his wheels spinning so he was basically doing the twist until I picked him up. I've only seen that once though.
Imagine that you wake up in the morning due to clockys alarm at 4:00 A.M. and you reach for clocky but he runs out the door into the hall and hides in the kitchen!Hahahah try waking up now!
LMAO! So funny seeing him going under your bed!! I would rather throw him in the window either getting it under my bed.... Also, does it happend he falls on the side so he can't move?

you hve to hit the snooze button before it jumps off
03veritas 2 years ago
That's not a disadvantage. You must get up to silence the clock so you won't fall asleep again

Awesome one, saw them cuz of the Ig Nobel awards... not recommended for very heavy sleepers.
You can also disable the wheels, you know?
I love it. Simple idea with a touch of geniality. Go, R2, go!

Last thing I want to do when waking up is crawl under my bed to catch the alarm clock.

Which is the point of the clock. To force you to actually move.

Looks like it's got a bit of a problem with being too balanced, if some lead weights were added to the body i think it would be much faster.
